Description
Hei! :)
My name is Ole. Me and my family have a mountain farm in Norway, and we would love for someone, couple, friends or singles, brave enough to join the project!. :)
Our family consists of me, my parents, my sister and her 2 sons (and Shana, Shira & Turbo the cats). They have their own houses at the valley farm, so it'll be me, some helpers and you experiencing the mountains. We are located in beautiful Gudbrandsdalen, north of Lillehammer.
Our plan is to redo the mountain cabin, and we started first of June, so we have come far already!
We would love someone who would love to live in a 1600 old timber cabin in one of the worlds northern summer farm cabins. You'll experience loads of gorgeous nature, together with carpentry work like construction, painting, digging, insulating and flooring. The tasks at an old farm can be pretty much everything, hehe.
We live a quiet family life, and love to play some cards or to watch a movie if you're not planning a mountain hike!
We have had over a 100 guests through a period of 20 years, and love meeting new people from different cultures, so don't be afraid. We can handle most people, hehe.
We hope to hear from you, and we'll be happy to answer questions you may have about us and our farm. :)

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We will show you some Norwegian traditions and culture through serving you traditional dishes andthrough our daily life. Also we will give guidance in every process, hopefully helping you advance your mind- and skillset to master anything. We'll happily try to learn you some Norwegian as well! Hopefully you'll grow as a person with loades of new experiences here with us. :)
Help
We'd love some help with the daily tasks, like carpentry, painting, making fences and so on. :)
We plan to change the walls/floorings on the cabin and it would be amazing to get a helping hand with that.Languages spoken

We have different kinds of accomodations depending on how many visitors we have with us at the moment. You'll either share a cabin or maybe even a camping wagon. We'll see when we get closer to it. When we rip out the floorings and are waiting to get that finished we'll borrow the neighbours cabin as well.
What else ...
This is in the "fairytale valley" where you can explore the nature with hikes to the mountains, fishing, tenting, swimming in the lakes and everything else nature here can bring you. You can also just relax home with us and play some card games or watch TV. :)

They brought us adventures, laughter and really were them lovely selves.
We all do look forward seeing these two back here with us.
We wish them all the best on their new experience in the North with their new host.
A very kind and polite guy we've had the pleasure to host for two months.
He does his very best at all the tasks he has been given during his time here with us.
We are all looking forward to see all the pictures!
We wish you the very best and hope to see you again. Maybe during your walk next year? :))
