    Description

Hi, My wife and I run an agri-based learning center in rural India. We are based in a small village in Northern India (Jabrella, Unnao (near Lucknow), Uttar Pradesh, India). Our focus is to give exceptional educational opportunities for the less fortunate. Our aim is to transform the current education system in villages. Clearly we have different visions for a girl born in a city and a farmer’s daughter in a village. At our center, an all-girls' environment provides a wonderful opportunity for girls to explore who they are as young women without social pressure. An open space is provided for students to learn about good farming practices too. The students get a hands on experience in preparing seed beds, grow a variety of saplings/seedlings in nursery and become aware of the know-how of new-age agriculture. We have a small farm and a few farm animals.

We would be happy to have more and more volunteers to visit us, we need teachers, travelers, artists, musicians, gardeners, story-tellers, and you. We believe, the more people our students meet the better they'll learn.

We are based in a small village in rural India. Most of the villagers are farmers or day-laborers. One could explore and travel around the area easily, nearby we have over 200 years old temple and river right next to the farm. At our farm we are trying to follow zero-budget farming on a small scale, we would be happy to share our learning.

We run a school for underprivileged girls. Our students are between 4 and 14 years of age, and currently we are running four classes. We need teachers for craft, art, story telling and travellers with stories to share. Also, we run a farm to sustain ourselves, we need regular help to take care of the animals and the farming work. Our guest are free to roam around in the villages after school, interact with locals or just sit near the 300 years old banyan tree.
