*UPDATE *
Looking for Horse experienced workawayer to help mid July to end of August.
We have a large warm 3 bed house with a log burning fire and ensuite room that will be for your sole use. Located just 30 mins from Auckland CBD. Wanting a horse experienced person to look after 1 horse and 1 mini, and occasionally our beautiful well trained dog and cats.
Work required approximately 10 hours per week in return for lodging and a healthy food budget. Also we have a car that can be used during this time, applicant must be over 25 for insurance purposes.
We are a small family of 3 who live just outside of Auckland on a beautiful unique waterfront lifestyle block. We also have 2 horses plus 2 cats and a dog called 'Spud'. We love good food and riding our horses on the local beaches and forests.
I run a small pottery studio from home and teach workshops a couple of times a week. Ideally we would love someone to help complete the project of painting the exterior of our 1 story house.
We have a kayak and a small boat at the bottom of the property for guests to use. We all love to speak a little French.Types of help and learning opportunities

We are located 15 km to the east coast white beaches and 20km to the west coast wild black beaches, plenty of walking trails within very easy reach. A large forest for biking/ walking is only 3km away. Auckland city only 17km away.
We have water access at the bottom of our property with lots of toys, jet ski, boats and a double kayak.
There is also a pottery studio on site where I teach ceramics so if you have a love of playing with clay or would like to learn I’m happy to be your guide.Help
We are looking for help with gardening / painting our house and caring for horses and general home help. Also some general maintenance around the property. . Ideally 4 weeks minimum stay over the spring/summer as we have a lot to do and its our very busy time so training people on a weekly basis does not really work for us.

I've just finished my first ever workaway and at first I didn't know what to expect, yet as I'm sat in the airport I can't help but be thankful and happy I was lucky to spend two weeks with Virginia, Paul and Scout. It was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I've had in my 3+ years of… read more
We only stayed 10 days but wished we arrived earlier. Virginia, Paul and Scout are warm, friendly, welcoming people and will make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Their property is a little paradise. They have a lovely decorated house and a huge garden to take care of. They let you… read more
