Vom Workawayer (Louise) für Host
We spent two weeks at Darren and Tracy’s farm and had an amazing time. The property is beautiful, with three lovely dogs, three horses, and lots of chickens.
We helped with clearing land, cutting and chopping trees in preparation for fire season, and also did a few things around the house while taking care of the animals.

It’s a peaceful environment, with kind souls always up for good conversation during meals.

We had a lovely 3 weeks with Louise and Alex at our farm. They were a delight to share space with and were very easy to host. We appreciated many great conversations and fantastic croissants! I spent about two weeks at Tracy and Darren's wellness farm. It was a very nice and interesting time and I learned a lot about life in Okanagan. Tracy and Darren are two wonderful people who make you feel at home from the very first second.
My tasks ranged from outdoor tasks, such as shoveling snow or chopping and carrying firewood, to tasks
… read more around the house, such as housework or computer stuff. In return, there was always delicious food and a soothing sauna session at the end of the day.

Jan was a lovely young man, respectful and easy to share space with. We enjoyed having him at our farm for the 2 weeks he was here. He was easy to motivate and keen to get started on tasks and did his best, even with tasks where no previous skills has been acquired.

Stewart and Deborah’s property is an oasis in the beautiful region of Naramata BC.
We were greeted by Deborah who gave us the tour and made us feel right at home.
The accommodations were wonderful and super comfortable!
The property is so beautiful, it was always a pleasure to spend time outdoors admiring the gardens,
… read more vineyard, and surrounding scenery.
Our creative hosts had some great projects for us. Mike was thrilled to be doing carpentry projects with Stewart and I was equally happy to be working in the beautiful outdoors on landscaping and garden projects. Deborah is very creative and it was a pleasure to work with her.
Happiest dogs!
Every once in awhile we would be greeted by their very happy dogs and this always warmed our hearts and brought big smiles to each of our faces.
Our thoughtful hosts planned an evening of games and dinner with friends and neighbours. We really enjoyed this opportunity to meet a few of the locals.
Deborah is a fabulous chef and made us the most delicious meals!
Stewart is well skilled in the art of winemaking and it was a treat to sample his creations.
We always enjoyed the conversation, laughs, and travel stories over dinner.
Deborah always made sure we were very well taken care of throughout our stay and we had plenty of time to enjoy the local sites.
We are so grateful to have had this WorkAway opportunity and to have met such wonderful people.

We spent 10 days at Darren and Tracy's. It was a very good experience, they are good people and we felt like at home in their house. We had a lot of privacy and Darren was always available for a nice talk or if we had questions (Tracy was working in Vancouver most of the days we were here).

The place was peaceful, in the countryside. It's better to have a car to visit the aera.
Our task was to stain the house. The hours and days off were flexible so we could choose to work when it best suited us.

Tracy’s cooking was exceptional, and Darren was always up for sharing a joke. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a memorable Workaway experience. The surrounding area is beautiful and definitely worth exploring as well.

We had a really great time for two weeks with Tracy and Darren! We mostly made firewood or repaired fences. In return we got a great meal and a great room with two beds and a private bathroom. For relaxation we were even allowed to use the sauna!
