I was born in Siberia but moved to Germany at the age of 7. My teenage years posed some challenges, leading to two school expulsions. However, I persevered and completed my education, earning a bachelor's degree in mechatronics and a master's degree in microelectrical systems. This education opened the door to my dream job as a software engineer, where I spent five fulfilling years.
After achieving my career goals, I felt a need for a new adventure. Life is too short to be confined to an office, so I decided to quit my job and hit the road in an old Mercedes, with the world as my destination.

Describing one's own personality can be tricky, so I reached out to friends for their insights. Here a few headwords: reliable, confident, humorous, reasonable, communicative, purposeful, open-minded, honest, intelligent, generous, down-to-earth and a good listener.

My Workaway journey began in Portugal in 2016, and I returned to that incredible place three more times. I am passionate about the concept of living in a close-knit community, where we create, eat, dance, laugh, and even cry together. I firmly believe that people are not meant to live in isolation in vast cities where neighbors are strangers.

Given my years spent behind a computer, I now yearn to work more with my hands. I'm open to a variety of tasks and projects and can say I'm not a bad craftsman and a reasonably skilled cook.
