  • Description

Hello, I'm Alejandra from Mexico. Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, I bring a rich blend of experiences and a warm personality to every opportunity.

My journey is about to take me to the enchanting city of Turin, Italy, from mid-September through November. During this time, I'll be immersed in a sommelier course, indulging in my passion for the world of wine and enhancing my skills.

With a background as a dedicated cook specializing in Mexican cuisine and an 8-year journey in classical music, I've learned the art of attention to detail and creativity. But beyond my professional journey, I'm known for being a friendly, patient, and organized person.

My worldwide volunteer experiences have shaped me into a versatile team player. I've had the privilege to engage in various roles in different countries. From guiding activities and tours in a hostel in Sevilla, Spain, to managing reception and even caring for animals on an organic farm in Canada, I've grown both as an individual and a contributor. In Guatemala, I embraced the challenges of a hostel/hotel environment, taking on roles ranging from reception to managing the bar and kitchen. In France, I found joy in the meticulous work of cleaning rooms, contributing to interior renovations and taking care of animals. My journey even took me to an Italian bed and breakfast, where I dabbled in reception and maintenance tasks.

One of my true passions lies in nurturing vineyards and gardening, a skill I've developed through my last experience at a hotel in the Chianti, where I learnt how to take care of a wineyard (I stayed there for almost 2 years!) and I found my passion for cooking.
After that experience, back in Mexico, I studied gastronomy for 2 years, and I've worked in a couple of restaurants.

I'm a believer in shared learning and fostering growth, both personally and within the projects I'm part of. Whether working as part of a team or independently, I take pride in my patience, organization, and adaptability.

I'm seeking opportunities where I can contribute to vineyard care, manage the cantina, and lend a hand in the kitchen and the garden. I'm open to stays of one to two and a half months, and I thrive in shared accommodations.

Beyond the tasks, I'm excited about cultural immersion and the chance to broaden my understanding of the world.
    Feel free to contact me!!

  • More details about your skills

I'm an easy going person who is willing to learn almost any kind of chores. I'm energetic and a quick learner... I studyed music and I've worked in orchestras as the first flute, that has taught me how to work with different types of personalities in order to achieve something good for the team and how to follow orders... I like working with other people because I know that we can do bigger things if we work as a team but i also enjoy working by myself.

After traveling gor a while, I discovered that I love cooking (I think it's one of the best ways of getting to know a culture) so I decided to study gastronomy (that means I'm able to cook ;)).
I love nature so Im great with animals and I have no problem with getting dirty doing something. Since I like meeting people from all over the world, even though I've mostly worked at hostels, I've done workaway doing some gardening, cleaning, teaching, taking care of animals and cooking.
There are a lot of things that I don't know what they are or how they work but, if you teach me, I will learn gladly and I will try to teach you something back :)
I love art and I would like to learn about different cultures not just by reading about them but by living in them. I'm currently traveling to Turin, Italy.
