I had a really great time at the farm! I was there for 7 days but it seemed to be longer, 'cause of the many good things that we did together. Glen and Karen were so open and kind, they could teach and explain me everything about tasks and they were always really patient. I could learn a lot from their way of living, and their amazing energy in do many things every day. All the animals were really-really friendly, I find it so cool that even their chickens like the people! The sleeping in the cozy yurt and the narural, peaceful surrounding could give me a menthal refresh too. You have there really time for yourself in the afternoon. The English tea-brake (with milk:) in the morning helps to find your balance in working and relax. I really think that this place is not only bring you closer to the animals and plants, but bring you closer to yourself and this is so beautiful! My favorite tasks were to pick up all the walnuts and apples from the garden, picking herbs and feeding the so lovely but also naughty goats.:) Karen and Glen do everything from their heart so the whole farm is just full of life and shining from human care. So glad to experience that!!🤍🌿

We had a wonderful time with Emma's visit to our home. She's fun and responsible at the same time. She became Rio's best friend from the first day they played clay in the garden, and Rio never wanted to leave her side. She's a sweet, intelligent, and friendly person. We really enjoyed talking with her at sunset and also her cooking recipes. We laughed a lot walking around Mount Etna and on the beach, running and jumping like we were kids again. Emma definitely brought a wave of youth and joy to the house. She was always super available during critical moments, lending a hand with whatever was needed. She just left and we already miss her. Ciao Memma =)

It was my first workaway, but a life time experience. Natalia and Ole are just amazing people, they just gave me everything, a second home, freedom, and the feeling that everthing is okay. I loved doing the garden, it was just what I needed and it was amazing to see the results of my work. I had enough free time to explore the island, they also gave me an electric bike. Actually I couldn't be more thankful for them. They and the island gave me so much, and I hope in the future I can go back to meet them again.

Neri was very kind to welcome me at the last minute. I am very grateful to him and his family for being so hospitable. If you want to experience authentic Albania and surround yourself with beautiful natural surroundings, this is the place for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the walks in the park, cooking with fresh food, and I will never forget the warmth of the neighbors. I hope to return someday!

I volunteered for five weeks with a wonderful family in Swakopmund — an experience I truly cherish both professionally and personally. The family welcomed me warmly from the start. I had my own car, which gave me great flexibility for both my tasks and free time. The range of responsibilities was broad and engaging — the perfect balance of challenge and fun. No two days were the same, which made the experience so vibrant and rewarding. It was not only a lot of fun to be part of their daily life and project, but I also learned a lot and gained valuable insight into life in Swakopmund. I still keep in touch with the family and visit them whenever I’m back in the area — which says it all. I highly recommend this volunteer position to anyone who approaches it with openness, enthusiasm, and a smile. It was an all-around fantastic experience!

Kiersten was with us for 3 weeks or more , she adapted very well to our family life , helped us in flexible sort of ways . She is smart , kind , helpful , resourceful , very good human skills . She was very kind assisting Mom ( 83 years old ). I highly recommend her specially for farm and household activities , she is an animal lover and enjoys outdoor activities too. Good cook assistance too ! Cheerful young lady , good company , polite and respectful .

Sibylle and Damian were my first workaway experience, but also my first contact with Germany. And I could not have made a better decision. Staying at their house was so fun. They are a very proactive family, always doing something, and I actually got to learn a lot of things by staying with them. The kids are the best, they love doing projects and crafts, just like me, so we had a great time. The tasks were just like what the post says: household cleaning and taking care of the children. It was not that time-consuming; I got to balance the work with other activities. I also felt that they helped me a lot with all the questions that I had as a foreigner starting my life in Germany. They are always willing to help others, and because of that, I felt very comfortable staying with them. I really recommend this workaway experience!! I am very sure you will not regret it!!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending a week with Igor, Anna, and their two wonderful children at their farm in Paseka, Czech Republic. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed as part of their family, and even though our time was short, it was truly memorable for both of us. Living and working on their farm allowed us to experience a lifestyle so different from our own, and it was incredibly inspiring to see how they live in harmony with nature and their surroundings. We learned so much, not just practical skills, but also about the care, patience, and dedication that go into running a family farm. The children are absolutely adorable, full of energy and curiosity, and they made our stay even more joyful. The animals and the environment of the farm are a real testament to the love and effort Igor and Hanna put into everything they do. It’s clear that their lifestyle is built with care, passion, and a lot of hard work. Igor and Hanna are so approachable and patient; they show you exactly how to help in the best way, while also giving you plenty of free time to relax, enjoy the house, or explore the beautiful surroundings. Every day was a mix of meaningful work, fun moments, and learning experiences. We are incredibly grateful for their hospitality and kindness. Spending time with them made us feel truly included in their family life, even if just for a short week. We would absolutely love to return and visit them again — it was an unforgettable, heartwarming experience, and we recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for an authentic, meaningful Workaway experience :)) Francesca and Russell

Dear Diogo, Thank you for what was a very special experience, meeting you and learning about the wonderful life you have built at the farm. We will never forget the time we spent in your paradise. We learned so much about permaculture, special techniques for farming, preparing many different kinds of fresh food and learning about the processes you have here. We are also inspired by the simple, minimalistic lifestyle you have showed us. The farm is simply beautiful and we felt so lucky to wake up every day surrounded by the Brazilian jungle. We leave the farm not being sad, but happy that we met such a kind, genuine, and interesting person who we now call a friend. Marcel helped me for a week and it was great! He is disciplined and orderly and does things right! With his help I managed to have all my wood cut and stored for winter and also helped me finish the first layer of earth plaster for my house. He is good in the kitchen and cooks good food and leaves all kitchen clean. We shared nice moments and had nice philosophical debates. Overall, Marcel is a great human being ready to help, a kind man who I am happy to have met. I strongly recommend Marcel!

Richard is a skilled craftsman, a good cook and a knowledgeable and pleasant person. He is good with animals and likes to learn new things. We also had many fun and interesting conversations. Although he longs for warm olivefarms in Greece, he is also competent in the cold Nordic climate. Hope to see Richard again :-)

We've got two and a half amazing weeks on the apa Mountain Lodge. Sefa and Burju are really nice Host. We cleaned the in and outdoorareas, helping in the kitchen and with the guests, cleaning the Bungalows and some gardening tasks. We've had a good time with Burju on working time and in the free Time. We love her amazing food and the good conversations. She was so lovely to make us vegan food :) Sefa gave us some really good tips for travelling. It was an intensive but one of our favourite Workaway Experience.

What a "blast" These two just never stopped. We had a "scream" every day. Is was a tough long hours getting in the 2025 vintage. A near record year. The " Apres harvest " evenings resulted in very competitive games of Canasta with ourselves and our other Workawayers. Jonah was quick to the sink ,getting the washing up done. We hope the special products and starter cultures are re born at their next hosts. We send very best wishes and thank them for their work and support

Kitti's place was my first Workaway experience and couldn't have been more perfect. I spent nearly 10 days at Kitti’s place in Ayutthaya. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by Kitti's family - Khwan, Grandma Lekh, and P. Pen. Their warmth, patience, and generosity made me feel instantly comfortable and cared for. While volunteering, I was also working remotely, and the family was incredibly considerate of my schedule. Mornings were spent gardening, and in the evenings, I occasionally helped out at the smoothie shop. Kitti was always clear and respectful about what help was needed, which made everything feel easy and collaborative. The property itself is spacious, with multiple rooms and enough space for three volunteers during my stay. If you're handy or enjoy DIY projects, your skills would be especially appreciated & the place has a few areas that could use some fixing up. I had the pleasure of volunteering alongside two other travellers from different countries, and we quickly bonded over shared experiences, deep conversations, and little adventures around the city. Kitti, was prompt and friendly from the very first message. He has a quirky sense of humor and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Khwan, Pen, and Grandma Lekh are absolute gems. Grandma is the sweetest, patient and talented cook who prepared delicious meals every day. Khwan introduced us to Thai traditions, new foods, and taught us how to make smoothies (hers are hands-down the best I had in Thailand!). Pen was always cheerful and easy to talk to, bringing a lovely energy to every interaction. They spoiled us with smoothies and mango sticky rice! Ayutthaya as a city is steeped in history, with ancient relics tucked into every corner and charming cafés scattered throughout. My favourite experiences were the scenic one-hour train ride from Bangkok, and walking in the night in the city through the softly lit temple streets under the stars. Before I left, I had the joy of cooking some Indian food for the family, and it was heartwarming to see how much they appreciated it. I’m so grateful that this was my very first Workaway experience, it couldn’t have been more special. I truly miss Ayutthaya and Kitti’s wonderful family, and I hope to return someday.

My stay was so wonderful! It was my first Workaway and I can definetly recommend it to others. The work varied a lot from painting to hatvesting and some carpentry tasks. I could ask everything I wanted to and they taught me a lot. They were also very flexible about the working time and the tasks I made. So there wasn‘t a hierarchy at all. I felt very integrated in the family especially during the house concerts or visiting very nice friends of Anton an Ellen. The nature around there was also beautiful. There is a forest directly next to the farm were I could go for a hike. At the same time I could go very easily to Trondheim by taking the ferry. One of my highlights was making music together with Ellen. It was such a pleasure! I really hope to see you again one time! Best wishes Toni

Karolina and Michal helped a great deal preparing the vines for the grape harvest. The job was quite repetitive but the stuck with it and no complaints. Removing the leaves was a very important job and they were a great help to us. They were always willing to help and had a good work attitude. We wish them good luck with their future

Rose spent ten days here. We travelled together and worked well together. Eager to communicate and connect with others. She assisted with a variety of tasks at hand. In the end she felt a bit lonely here in the mountains and left a bit earlier than planned - which makes total sense. All the best with the rest of your adventures.

We stayed for one month with Corinne and had such a wonderful time. She made us feel welcome right away with her very sweet and caring personality. Corinne was very grateful for our work and showed that often, which made us feel very appreciated. Our room was super comfortable so we could enjoy rainy days inside as well. The house itself is also very beautiful and the company of Squiffy the dog and Grisette the cat was always pleasant although Grisette is not the most cuddly cat unfortunately. But she's still cute and we love her. The work was mostly in the garden and taking care of some tasks around the house. It was pretty relaxed and felt good to see the results of our work. Corinne is really taking an eye on how much you work and takes care that you don't work too much. We had a lot of free time to explore the area, enjoy the ocean and surrounding activities. We enjoyed all the meals we shared together and all the sunsets we were able to see thanks to Corinne. We can not recommend it enough to visit this place and enjoy it's tranquility!

Matthijs was the perfect Workaway guest!! He was capable and courteous, and happy to do everything we asked him to do. He is good company and has a nice sense of humor. We would be very happy to host Matthijs again in the future.
