We welcomed Hina for about four weeks, and the time went by so quickly, too quickly. Hina is a very, very energetic young woman, always active, very athletic, and very affectionate and patient with our daughter Barbara. We are sad to see her go but hope for her return next summer. Thank you for everything, Hina, you were fantastic!

We had an amazing experience staying at Basil's home. We stayed 5 days and have worked at various beautiful places such as the community garden, the Sanctuary and Basil's garden. We did lot of different tasks which makes the work very interesting ☺️. Basil is a beautiful person, with lot of knowledge and always happy to share. He is very devoted to the environnement and different community projets, which is very inspiring. ☺️ He took care of us and always invited us to discover more about Denmark, it's beautiful community and he ´s daily life activities. We loved our stay there and hope to come back ! ☺️

Karin is a very friendly and welcoming host. She makes you feel part of the family, and her dog Saga is very well-behaved, playful, and simply adorable. The experience with Karin was very positive. She gave me a list of simple chores that could be done at any time of the day and gave me a lot of freedom to travel and see all the places I wanted. She gave me lots of advice, and talking to her was truly a pleasure. She is a special person, very sensitive to animals and people. Simply a lovely host. I had my own little room and I didn't miss anything. This was my first workaway experience and I had a great time.

Svetlana is an excellent Lady. She was flexible and enthusiastic. She loved cooking and getting stuck into whatever was needed. She was always smiling and laughing. She is missed! Svetlana also managed to somehow miraculously finish her dissertation amoungst us salty pirates. Which in my opinion was quite remarkable. Fair winds Lana! :)

We were very happy to have Océane with us at the center. She is kind, hardworking, and a truly lovely person to have around. From the very beginning, she integrated seamlessly into the group, always friendly, open, and interested. Océane contributed in many areas, including gardening, construction work, and keeping the house clean and welcoming. Her positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed made a big difference. We are very grateful for her time and effort, and we would be happy to welcome her back anytime. Thank you!!

It's a beautiful place, in the middle of nature. Very close to the cliffs for climbing or hiking. Kristina and Caner are at your disposal if you need advice. I spent a warm stay with charming people!

Staying with Mel and her lovely family was an absolute joy. From day one, I felt warmly welcomed and part of the household. Mel and her family have such beautiful energy : calm, caring, and full of good humour! That makes the whole experience both easy and inspiring :) I truly enjoyed our chats, the laughter, and the perfect balance between shared moments and personal space, which I really appreciated while completing my master’s degree. The place itself is peaceful and full of heart! I'd come back anytime without hesitation! 🥰

May (as Meike prefers to be called) stayed at my place for nearly three weeks. I have hosted hundreds of HelpXers, Workawayers, and WWOOFers over the years, and I can confidently say that May is an absolutely outstanding worker. She has excellent work ethics and maintains very high standards. She is highly motivated, can work independently without supervision, and asks for clarification whenever necessary. May helped with general gardening and housework: weeding, transplanting, watering, greenhouse tasks, pruning trees, handling challenging branches, using a chainsaw, stacking firewood, harvesting, and cooking or assisting with meal preparation. On top of all that, May is a great communicator, and we shared many, many good laughs. She also has extensive knowledge in her professional field and gave me valuable advice on how to look after my back. Thanks for everything, and I really hope we meet again.

I stayed with Francis and Linda for around two weeks. They were my first workaway experience and I am ever so grateful for their flexibility and allowing me to recover from my American jet lag:). It was quite rainy when I was there so I couldn't work too much in the garden but within that time, I helped them put up a new cabinet in the kitchen and on our dry days, pull weeds and prune plants. They were so accommodating and cooked me awesome British cuisine while they taught me about British culture. They were always clear and concise about their work but also incredibly understanding about hours and during my free time, allowing me to sit by the fire with Amber (their dog) and read my books with them. Thank you so much for the experience!

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the hospitality we received was truly on another level. Mr. Gerr and Miss Tina welcomed us like family — always kind, thoughtful, and full of warmth. Every day was filled with laughter, amazing food (cooked by the wonderful Miss Tina) and genuine care that made us feel completely at home. The students were so enthusiastic and sweet, and the teachers were some of the kindest people we’ve met. There was such a lovely community feeling — we felt appreciated, inspired, and part of something meaningful. Takengon itself is breathtaking! surrounded by mountains, cool air, and stunning lake views but what really made the experience unforgettable were the people. Mr. Gerr and Miss Tina even took us on a trip, which was such an unexpected and generous gesture that we’ll never forget. Don't even think twice about doing this Workaway, do it for the most amazing and culturally immersive experience you can get.

We had a wonderful time at Ivan and Mari's farm. We felt like part of the family. They are generous people, engaged in meaningful work, giving, and spreading good. Ivan is a man of both labor and spirit, and we were greatly inspired by the conversations with him and Mari. Their hearts are open and full of love. We worked on the farm doing a variety of jobs. When we arrived, we mainly helped with cleaning and clearing the area. We were happy to lend a hand and see the change we created together. Ivan was very attentive to what suited us. We had a time of happiness and joy together Also we had trips and adventure time ❤️ The area is beautiful and very special for walking and hiking in nature. Thank you, Ivan and Mari. You're wonderful.

We stayed with Michele only one week. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. We worked a little on his farm picking olives, pomegranates, and doing other small tasks. Michel was the best. He was super nice, polite, and very generous. He prepared for us delicious Italiennes dishes often accompanied with homemade wine. His different pasta dishes were so good!! Michele also took the time to show us around and take us on amazing activities. He took us to see Agropoli, very big and old temples. He took us to the facory where he made olive oil from his olives. We went to Octoberfest, a small beautiful small town in the mountains. He even took us to a very nice restaurant where we made our own pizza!! We feel very lucky to have spent the week with them. We would 100% go back. 100% would reccomend.

The time I spent with edd and Diana was great. You feel welcome and supported. I enjoyed helping with renovations, gardening and cooking. They are very nice people, we had great conversations. At the weekend, they showed me a little bit of the area. They were so kind to pick me up from the bus and take me back again. It was easy to arrive there and much harder to leave. Thank you for everything, I wish you all the best.

Sylvi was a pleasure to host and a great help for me in my garden and house. She took on the tasks I gave her with enthusiasm, happy to work independently when I was doing other things. We chatted over coffee after work, and Sylvi had a lot of interesting things to say about her life and her part of the world. I highly recommend her to any Workaway Hosts.

My Partner Jack and I had an incredible week with Gennaro and the other workaway-ers, we wish it had been for longer! We were greeted with a welcoming and caring attitude that radiated through the length of our stay. Gennaro was very clear about setting goals and expectations for the week and allowing for ample rest time as well. We did some hard work on the garden paths but we always knew that Gennaro would be flexible if that type of work became too much. Although the house feels far away from village centers, it was always easy to get a ride somewhere using Uber. We had a lot of fun jamming and hanging out with the other workaway-ers. Gennaro provided a space for open conversation and joy :) We wish Gennaro the best on the continuation of the projects here as it's an incredibly valuable community space for musicians and people in general! Let us know if you visit New Zealand, we'd love to hang out!

My first Workaway, I would say that it was an unexpected and absolutely amazing experience. I was like last minute and luckily Anna accepted it and I spent nearly two weeks in the beautiful green island - Skopelos. Anna is such a gem, she is kind, warming, welcoming, nature embracing and we had lots of same frequency when we talked. The tasks were chill, feeding loads of cats, to me it’s like paradise. Anna is kind that she takes care of lots of cats(now approximately 40 around the house), lovely times with them especially the kitten at first were not close to me but they were not afraid of me by the end, such cuties. We cleaned the house, did some garden works, Anna showed me around Skopelos and explained me fun facts about the island and also Greek culture. We went to the beach nearly every afternoon and also hiking a bit, we enjoyed the healthy food and also some guilty yummy pleasures. The time there was such relaxing and healing moments I’ve missed for long time and after this I am ready for the new challenges. Not only because the nature and the animals surrounded me but also the most important is the spiritual talks and time with Anna. I felt being understand and enjoyed every little changes around me. Everyday is a new day, the past are memories, and the unknown future is waiting to be explored. Could take here as a gateway or even a place that could take your life to next level and enjoy every seconds. Thank you Anna the world is small and hope to see you soon:)

Raquel stayed with us for two weeks and helped us a lot around the house, garden, and with the animals. Even though the work was often unfamiliar and physically demanding for her, she always gave her best. She is a very friendly and open person, and it was a pleasure to have her around. Thank you for your help and best wishes.
