I spent a week at Myriams and François place and was very glad to meet these incredible people! Very welcoming and hospitable, always offering to show their guest around the beautiful area around Etretat, obviously with plenty wonderful spots to visit like the lighthouse nearby, which can be reached even by a walk ! My project over the the stay was to paint a room and I was given full autonomy to organize it the way how it suits me and also a little bit of gardening work. Myriam prepared delicious meals and handed over other food in a basket as a sweet routine for preparing it myself in the little studio which was designed beautifully and functional out of a former garage, giving full comfort and independency. I enjoyed being around both Myriam and François, every even tiny interaction felt pleasant and warmhearted. The last evening we had a lovely dinner together to celebrate the finished room and beautiful connection which we will be happy to keep for seing each other again!

😉 --- We spent 15 days at María Teresa’s home, surrounded by art, harmony, and nature. We helped with the garden, the cats 😺 Milu, Leo, and Mimi, the dogs 🐶 Lana and Rey, and in the saffron field. The house is full of life and soul, with wonderful people coming and going, sharing special moments together. We loved helping out, sharing dinners, and feeling part of this lovely community. A fantastic experience we truly recommend to other Workawayers (artists welcome! 🎨) — and one we’d be delighted to repeat! 🌿 María Teresa, if you ever need a hand again, don’t hesitate to reach out! 😉

Living and volunteering at this place is among my most cherished workaway experiences. I was warmly welcomed into the community and felt included in every way possible. The days were well structured, allowing for varying tasks in multiple areas of the property. The work was both enjoyable and satisfying and I felt a great deal of reciprocity and connection flow throughout the community. We had delicious meals prepared for us and it felt very special to know I played a role in contributing to the greater whole. I appreciated the time off to go and explore incredible sites nearby (and afar) by bike like Stevns Klint and Møn. The other workaways and I shared a lovely house together where we could hangout and cook meals when necessary. I learned more about organic and regenerative farming on a larger community scale, observing practices such as dead hedges, wood mulching, planting green manure, willow for sewage treatment, biodiversity alley rows, and much more! I thank everyone with all my heart for their unwavering generosity and support throughout my 6 week stay. I hope to return someday soon to see how the community has grown and evolved !!

It was such a joy to host Lim family with three lovely kids, Bruce, Clark, and Nana. They are a wonderful family from Singapore, always open to learning and sharing experiences about healthy living and mindful eating. The children brought so much fun and positive energy to our small farm, creating a warm and lively atmosphere for everyone. We truly appreciated the moments of learning and exchange we shared together as one big family. We hope they will continue to bring their kindness, knowledge, and joyful spirit to every host they meet along their travels.

Mackenzie is such a joyful and easy-going person! She brought so much laughter and good energy to our little farm. She enjoyed every moment — whether spending time with our chickens or sharing fun days with the other volunteers. The time we spent together passed so quickly, and it was truly a pleasure having her with us. We hope that one day she will continue sharing her experiences and the beautiful memories she’s gathered — including those from our small farm — with people all around the world.

Natalie and John are such a fun and lovely couple! They helped us on the farm together with other friends, and we’re truly grateful for their kindness — especially for offering their help when we were not feeling well. We also had a great time traveling together They are an inspiring couple who love to learn, explore, and share meaningful experiences. We wish them both many more beautiful adventures ahead, and hope they continue to spread their positive energy and share their travel stories around Thailand.

Agathe spent almost a month with us and was an absolutely fantastic volunteer. She is a very nice, proactive, and talented person, and we truly enjoyed having her with us. As an architect, Agathe helped us design a new space at the farm, including a vegetable garden, chicken area, kitchen and resting area, and orchard. On top of that, she’s an amazing photographer and videomaker, creating beautiful images and content that captured the essence of the farm perfectly. We truly wished she could have stayed longer, as her help and creativity were invaluable. Agathe is highly skilled, enthusiastic, and a joy to work with – we super recommend her to any WorkAway host!

Barbora stayed some two weeks with us and it was one of the best workaway experiences we had. Her energy is unmatchable. Always in a good mood, always available to assist. She was here during the difficult days of the monastery's annual celebration and we wouldn't have managed without her help. We had to deal with so many tasks together that I would need a whole page to name them all. But even more than her skills, and her hard-working part, Barbora showed us what it feels like to be alive. Listened to music and danced together at local festivities, took pictures, went on hikes, watched the stars and the moon through the telescope, went swimming, shared great talks - her presence really reminded us what life is about. If you ever get the chance to have Barbora knock on your door, do yourselves a favor and let her in. All the best with your trips! Keep enjoying life in your own unique way.

It's hard to put into words how wonderful this experience was, especially for being my first time in Workaway. I will start by saying I'm really grateful for this opportunity. Udi and Natasha always made me feel welcome and at home, making sure I was doing alright and had everything I needed. Shelby and Daisy were just as lovely as them. I spent the whole month of September looking after Shelby and working in the garden. Shelby is a very good boy ❤️. Despite having a lot of energy, he follows his commands and is always looking for cuddles. I loved his company ❤️ The garden tasks were simple and easy, mostly taking care of the weeds and collecting leaves. Udi is very patient and taught me how to use some tools to blow the leaves, which was fun for me ☺️ We worked in the mornings, so after a lovely lunch that Natasha made for us, I had the rest of the day for myself. I felt like living in a fairytale, enjoying the fresh air and watching the wild animals. Thank you again, Udi and Natasha, for leaning on me and having me at the chateau. I hope I can come back soon. Best wishes and safe travels, Connie ☺️

Personally, we can say it was a pleasure meeting you and sharing these last few days with you. You're always welcome! We wish you the best!

Saludos

Liv stayed with us for about a week and what a great week that was. She assisted with the garden, helping us plant some trees, she assisted in the kitchen, helped us make some curtains, put the carpets for the season, single-handedly cleaned the old washing-machine by the river and many more. We also went mushroom hunting together, watched movies from Greek directors upon her request and had beautiful talks. She matched well with the rest of the team. Her friend Ruth happened to be around, so she also joined and assisted and that was a plus. Kind-hearted, open, smiling creatures that brighten up your day. All the best with the rest of your trip. Really grateful for your help.

I spent a month at Pauline's place and it was such an amazing experience! The place is beautiful, with a spacious terrace, a nice view and cozy decorations. Pauline is a kind and easygoing host - we had great communication, while also doing some language practice together. I was there during the low season (and a time of renovations) so the house wasn't too busy - probably quieter than usual. The work mainly consisted of doing check-ins and helping a bit around the house - everything was laidback and easy to manage. I really loved staying here during my time in Rio and hope I can be back on day. Merci beaucoup! ❤️

Maeva and Lucas were amazing! Always ready to create something. Very understanding of Jamaican realities. Very good to recreate my ideas which is important because, most of the time, I'm managing my project remotely from Canada. They were very assiduous to send me pic or videos of their work, who was making my imagination work good to continue the project. I had the chance to meet them when i went on the island and we had a blast. Thanks so much for your time with us You will be remembered.

Gillian is doing truly wonderful work in Dahab. It was deeply meaningful for me to be able to join her team and volunteer. The typical work duty is split between 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. After my morning shift, I often headed straight to the beach, which is only about a 15-minute walk away. I encourage everyone who reads this review to visit and volunteer, even if only for a short time. Extra hands are always needed! I wish all the cats in Dahab happiness.
