Miguel is a kind host, he’s very chill and flexible. I stayed for about three weeks. The place is very pretty, quiet, and located in the center of Valladolid. I worked as a receptionist, and the job itself was very relaxed, mostly doing check-ins and making sure everything was fine. The other staff members here are very nice, and I met people from all around the world. Valladolid is a great place to stay if you want to explore Yucatán.

Two very nice weeks with Mika. She helped me a lot in gardening, sorting out old stuff , disassemble broken thermal solar collector , cutting branches and so on. We had nice conversations, went to the cinema together and to my printing workshop. Every thing went fine and easy. Thank you again Mika and good luck pour la suite ..

Had a lovely week in Kinsale with Richard and Shannen! They are both wondeful, kind people, and would gladly stay with them again! :) The work was fair and enjoyable, and I had a great time chatting about life in Ireland. Thank you guys!

We had the most wonderful week stay with Fay and her beautiful animals. The work was varied and interesting with flexibility to go for hikes etc. Fay is an amazing, interesting person and an incredible cook who makes the most delicious food, and she was super understanding of my food allergy. Her set up is amazing and the cuddles from the animals really sealed the deal. If you get a chance to stay with Fay you are extremely lucky!

Volga and Bartick are a really lovely couple! They are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much for them, When I gave them something to do they put so much energy into doing it and did it thoroughly and with love. They got on so well with our animals and were totally easy with us. We could often hear Volga laughter ringing out like bells, and it was really uplifting, They are such a happy couple. When ever I cooked for them Volga always made a lovely dessert even though she did not need to. They are a serious couple studying in between working as they want to learn Spanish, They never skimped on their hours and worked together as a team but when working they were working not chatting or anything like that. I would highly recommend them and they know that they are welcome back any time,

If you’re looking for a break away from the busy, this is the perfect place. I travelled from the UK and stayed for around a month in September. T was so kind and understanding, and trusted me with her beloved animals. Herself and Nethaya welcomed me into their house and immediately made me feel like I had a home away from home. I wish I could wake up to see blue the dog and all the horses again. I miss you so much, T! I hope I’ll see you again soon ❤️

This was my first Workaway experience, and it couldn't have gone better! Owen and Mark are so amazing and welcoming. The work was incredibly fun, and I learned many new skills I never knew I could do. I felt so safe in the lovely town of Oxton and had plenty of time on my off days to explore the rest of Scotland through the bus and train systems. I worked primarily with Owen and the animals, and Owen has an abundance of knowledge in just about everything related to the farm! In the afternoons, we worked on labor projects, and it was so satisfying to almost complete the new duckery!! Overall, my time there was amazing, and I already miss all the new bird friends I made. And Owen and Mark of course!!

This is an absolutely gorgeous place in Czechia! Lovely surroundings with the forests, the hills and the valleys, the rivers and of course the many many deer! The cabin I stayed in was comfortable and the time I spent in the house with Petra and Honza was very enjoyable. The food that Petra made was amazing! The activities weren't especially varied but that didn't matter as I enjoyed them very much. It was physical work but enjoyable, lots of moving firewood, stacking firewood, making fires etc. Petra and Honza were great fun and we shared some funny moments together, quite laid back in terms of social activities and had some great stories to tell. All things considered I very much enjoyed my stay here! I would say this place and the work isn't for everyone, but I personally really enjoyed it and would love to return in the summer some year to see them both again and spend some time on the lovely pieces of land they have! Oh and also Pepi and Moofie (the dogs) are hilariously loveable bundles of energy that it was great to be around! I also very much enjoyed the seemingly unlimited amount of grapes that could be picked and eaten from the vines!

After having been given a stellar feedback by my hosts, I could almost behave like I've been spoiled, but I think it's easy to give an equally good review for my hosts Tom and Tenny, because they made my stay the highlight of my time in Armenia! From the long talks at coffee break and the evening, to the impressive constructions and transformations they did on their lands, to the amazing contribution to the hiking and tourism scene in Armenia, Tom and Tenny are friends like I would like to have more! Pushing the boundaries of the societies and countries they lived and travelled in, to make a thrully major benefit for everyone to enjoy! I really liked the good spirit you have and the "tranquille " energy you show that is naturally contagious and inspiring! I loved my stay here, and my only regret is that I had only two weeks and was so often busy with my project of moving to Canada. But thanks to Tom and Tenny, I was in the ideal environment to make it successful. I definitely recommend to stay with Tom and Tenny! I will not miss a visit to you next time! I wish you the success in all your forthcoming projects!

I’ve spent 4 weeks here, and honestly, this place is so perfect that I hardly want to leave. Coming here felt like a gift from the universe, even though I’m alone, I’ve never once felt lonely. Outside my door, there are chickens, ducks, and geese keeping me company. After reading the host’s description, I spent almost a month preparing my luggage, making sure all my clothes were free of polyester. I have to say, it’s been such a great learning experience ,it made me much more mindful of fabric materials and their environmental impact, helping me choose clothes that are both eco-friendly and gentle on my skin. Here, you’ll learn so many ways to reuse materials, cardboard, coffee sacks, wood from neighbors, even how to fix broken scissors. It’s all so practical. Ove taught me how to use many tools :wood chipper, sander, chainsaw, sawing table, and even how to drive the ATV. These were all new to me, but he was incredibly patient, explaining so much about permaculture and the “no-digging” farming method. He’s like a living book! Emma is so gentle and thoughtful, she always comes back from the market with amazing ingredients. I’ll never forget that wonderful afternoon tea with waffles, sunshine, Joy🐶, and the chickens, ducks, and geese around. It was perfect. Time here flows differently,I often forget what day it is because I’m so immersed in each moment. Ove once said I could connect my music work here, but as someone who usually listens to “white noise” for work, I’ve realized I don’t need it anymore here. The sound of rain and birdsong is the most beautiful natural white noise. It reminds me that many happy things in life are free. Even though it’s been the rainy season and more than half the days have been wet, I’ve seen over 8 times of rainbows and even 2 times of auroras! I saw them right from my room. It was unbelievable. Okay, I’ve written too much, but this place truly is amazing. I’ll definitely come back with friends next time.

I spent 10 days with Sunvi in August, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet her. She’s a very generous person, truly attentive to her guests, and passionate about their stories. I really enjoyed our conversations. Her renovation project still needs a bit of time to be completed, but it’s definitely an interesting one. The work was flexible and more than reasonable — it mainly involved painting, tidying, weeding, and of course, we never missed the Swedish tradition of taking regular fika breaks — those moments were always appreciated! The private space was a small cottage with a beautiful view of the sunset — truly a peaceful and lovely place to relax. During those 10 days, I also had the chance to meet two other Workawayers, which made the experience even nicer, and I also got to meet her neighbor, who was a really friendly person. Thank you again for hosting me — everything was thoughtfully arranged to make us feel right at home. I can only recommend this experience! See you!

Alexia and Fred arrived at our farm in their beautiful mobile home a shortbus they transformed to travel in. Along with their wonderful and well behaved dog Phillipe they all fit right in with our family. During their month here they helped with many chores with enthusiasm and joy and we were sad to say goodbye ! Both are hard workers and an asset to any homestead!

Rita is simply the best! This was our first workaway experience and we don't think it could have been any better - Rita is a very generous woman with a great sense of humor, she was very patient with us as we learned how things work around her home. She is also very knowledgeable about Chile and talking to her was always interesting, she gave us great recommendations on what to do in our free time in Olmué and surrounding areas. We shared some lovely moments with her and Andrea especially during our meals, and of course with all the pets as well! We deeply regret not staying for a longer time 😊 Olmué is also a beautiful safe town, and there is plenty to do around. Thank you again for your hospitality Rita, we hope to see you again and share more moments together 🫶🏼

I volunteered here for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time! The dogs and other volunteers were lovely and the surrounding area is just beautiful. We took some dogs to the beach many times and it was so nice to see them explore and enjoy their time! Karen was a great and flexible host and you can see how much she cares about the dogs. She was always ready to answer any questions. I also had my own dog Pipo with me and he enjoyed our stay and playing with shelter dogs.

I spent about three weeks at Laura’s place in June. She gave me a very warm welcome, and the contact came naturally right from the start. Throughout my stay, she often invited me to join her on walks with Frido — always in different spots — which allowed me to discover the surrounding area. On weekends, she also suggested some local outings, which was really appreciated. As for the work, I mainly scrapped paint from doors, windows, and wooden beams in the living room. Her project is very interesting, although it wasn’t always easy to know which tasks should be prioritized. The schedule was flexible and totally reasonable. I had a private room with a lovely view of the outdoors — and in June, the long sunny evenings made the place even more enjoyable. In front of the house, there’s a large green space: it really feels like being on holiday when you can relax on a deck chair with a cup of coffee or tea :) During my stay, a Spanish family was also there. It was great to chat with them and share the experience with other Workawayers. The three weeks flew by. It was a really nice experience, not so far from Faaborg. Thank you again for hosting me — it was a pleasure meeting and spending time with you! See you & good luck with the rest of your project!

Choosing to do a Workaway during my trip was the best decision I made, and this was the perfect place for it. I stayed for 10 days and truly bonded with the project. Bishwo was a wonderful host—welcoming, communicative, and friendly. He was always willing to share his knowledge, clearly explain our tasks, and keep everyone involved. The food was delicious, prepared mainly by a very nice local guy, Niso. We also had the fantastic opportunity to go out in Bhaktapur and nagarkut for very nice day-trip. Overall, it was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

I look back on Uma's work with gratitude. Whether it was helping in the garden, assisting around the house or preparing delicious meals for us. Her reliability and dedication were also evident in her work in the stables and caring for the animals. She did this independently every morning. Friendly and open-minded, she also took on many challenging tasks within the team, such as restoring our table, which was also lovingly painted, or clearing our pond of overgrown plants. Her virtuoso piano playing was a joy and an enrichment for us. We wish Uma every success in her journey, drawing on her deep understanding and recognition of the connections between nature, culture and politics.
