Staying with Bill and Cam was an absolute pleasure! From the onset and throughout our time at the farm, the atmosphere was amiable and welcoming. The variety of tasks to do during the days working kept us busy but helped us learn a variety of skills both indoors and outdoors. This really made us appreciate our workway experience with animals, gardening, maintenance and much, much more! The schedule was flexible and allowed us to really take in the beautiful surrounding areas and beaches as well as spend time on the farm taking in its peaceful surroundings. If you enjoy fishing I'd highly recommend here too for some great spots with equipment provided. We were even able to catch one which we had for dinner that night! We have really enjoyed our time staying here and have had the most wonderful experience! 5 stars and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of coming to workaway here :)

Maui was helping us out for a bit over a month at the start of our new season. We were very happy to have him here and he was a great addition to the team. His cooking skills are great! And he was happy to help out in any field. During his stay Maui did a lot of cleaning, cooking and tidying up during his stay but he never complained and was ready to gat to work every day. When you give him clear instructions he will be on it and get the work done, in a team or working alone. He is welcome to come back any time!!

Zac stayed with us for a month at the start of the season and helped us get ready for all the good things to come. And what a great work he did! He brought a lot of joy to the place and was able to be a good member to the team. Zac is someone that was happy to help out with whatever task came his way. I hope he will keep improving his sewing skills as he found a new passion in life for it! It is a skill to improve and I hope you do! :D

Graeme and Alison are incredibly nice people. We spent three nights with them and helped them with their gardening. They immediately welcomed us into the family, we had great conversations, and we felt very welcome. Every morning, Graeme served us homemade chocolate and coffee – absolutely delicious (as was dinner). The work was good; we mostly weeded, and we had flexible working hours and could organize our own breaks. It was a wonderful time with you – best wishes.

Daniela stayed with us for over three months, and it was an absolute pleasure having her here. From the very beginning, she showed great initiative and independence — she handled every task with care and responsibility, often managing things on her own without needing much direction. I trusted her with our car, our pets, helping newer workawayers and deal with Italian bureaucracy. She was always friendly, easy to be around, and got along wonderfully with everyone — other volunteers, our friends, and of course Pepe and Kiretta! Daniela brought great energy to every conversation, and it was always nice to share a chat or a laugh with her. She contributed to a lot of different things, from gardening and helping around the house to joining creative projects, always with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. We miss her already and would happily welcome her back anytime. Thank you, Daniela, for all your help, kindness, and great company!

Aloha🏝️🌺, Overall I really enjoyed my stay here! The property is beautiful — peaceful, full of nature and animals(cute little ones) but still close enough to everything you might need. The work was reasonable, three hours in the morning *5/week, mostly outdoor tasks that I actually enjoyed doing. The place felt peaceful and safe, I had really good sleep here. and having access to a car made it even easier to explore. I got to visit many beautiful spots around Big Island and had a really good time overall. Thank you again for hosting me — it was a great experience! Mahalo🌺

Bueno por donde empezar…esta ha sido mi primera experiencia de voluntariado a través de Workaway y no podría haber sido mejor! Clem y Ricaurte son dos seres maravillosos, que te van a hacer sentir en casa desde el minuto uno. Buena onda, atentos, respetuosos, buena gente, súper comunicativos y generosos. La verdad que no tengo ni una mala palabra para ellos, han sido realmente mis amigos. Gracias por todo, me llevo un hermoso recuerdo y mucho amor en el corazón. La finca de Clem y Ricaurte es hermosa, perdida en la montaña, han hecho un tremendo trabajo, muy alabable. Todos los seres que habitan este lugar, humanos y animales, son amorosos y tienen muy buena vibra. Aunque sea un voluntariado más solitario, realmente no te sientes así, porque los animalitos te acompañan todo el rato y siempre hay algo que hacer. Roomi, Haya, Alua, Ako, Guara, Yuma y Pichu los perros, así como Muto, Muta, Tuto y Quilla, los gatos te dan mucho amor y risas, cada uno con su personalidad. Los patos también son bien chistosos. Clem es profesora de yoga y Ricaurte músico y están siempre encantados de compartir sus artes contigo. El trabajo en la finca es muy variado y aprendes mucho de todo. Ambos te explican súper bien que es lo que tienes que hacer. El horario de trabajo es muy equilibrado, se trabaja por las mañanas y las tardes las tienes libres para hacer lo que gustes. Esta es un experiencia absolutamente recomendable para la gente que disfrute de la naturaleza, los animales, la música, las manualidades..es un tiempo también de paz y calma. Gracias por este maravilloso mes amigos, me habéis ayudado y enseñado mucho. Os llevo en mi corazoncito!

Living with Matthias was a perfect experience, i couldnt have asked for anything better. I've been there for almost 3 months and would have stayed longer if possible, it's not just Matthias, also the family he builds every summer with his son and others workawayers that make every day a fun adventure. I hope i can come back someday and i fully recommend spending a summer with them!

I spent three weeks at the project and had a very positive experience. My main task was to help the children with their homework and support them in their learning. Working with the kids was enjoyable, and the collaboration with the teachers was pleasant and well organized. I also had the chance to help in special theme days such as Bienvenido Primavera and Día del Árbol, which provided interesting insights into the school life and local culture. Everything was well structured, and each volunteer received a personal schedule, which made it easy to understand the daily tasks. The host family was friendly and welcoming, the daily breakfast was very good, and the accommodation in a shared room was comfortable. Overall, it was a well-organized and rewarding experience that I can recommend.

My stay at Sabine’s was truly an exceptional and unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, Sabine welcomed me with warmth, generosity, and genuine hospitality. I could not have asked for a better Workaway host. During my time there, I was responsible for taking care of the land, which included maintaining the garden and looking after her wonderful dog Wilma, two beautiful cats, and four chickens. The work was both enjoyable and fulfilling, offering a perfect balance between responsibility and the opportunity to connect with nature. Sabine is an inspiring woman — strong, independent, and full of determination. Her kindness and strength left a lasting impression on me, and I feel fortunate to have had the chance to learn from her and be part of her daily life. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by various fruit trees — including a particularly special lemon tree. Overall, this was one of the most enriching and meaningful experiences of my life. I would highly recommend this Workaway opportunity to anyone looking for a genuine and inspiring cultural exchange. The sweetest trio in all of Pascoe Vale. Julie, Myrtle and Basil were incredibly kind, generous and easygoing. Julie breaths fairness, freedom and practicality. I would come back any time. Highly recommended 🌞

Having Felix & Joely stay with us was a delight, they fitted in from day one and got on brilliantly with our family and the other workawayers.. They are a great company and we had some excellent and lively discussions over dinner, putting the world to rights. They are also hard working, capable and adaptable, and i i imagine they would be an asset to any workaway host. If you get a chance to host them grab it with both hands.

Jiyeon stayed with us for one month and what an absolute joy she was to have in our home. She brought curiosity, patience, and a beautiful willingness to try absolutely anything we threw her way — always with a smile and that unstoppable can-do attitude. Her work ethic was fantastic, and she fit right into our family from day one. Always positive, always helpful, and never afraid to get stuck in. I especially loved the meals we shared — and the ones she cooked! Her food was delicious, and her calm, thoughtful nature made every dinner a pleasure. Pili y Marcos se han alojado en este hostal, formando parte del staff y compartiendo con nosotros dos semanas. Son dos jóvenes muy organizados, respetuosos y responsables. Estas haciendo sus primeras experiencias en voluntariado,sin embargo se adaptan perfectamente a la convivencia, comprenden fácilmente las normas del lugar y pueden trabajar muy bien luego de explicarles en detalle que deben y como deben hacerlo. Son activos, inteligentes y muy amables con los huéspedes. Sin dudas recomiendo a Pili y Marcos si tienes la oportunidad de compartir con ellos.

Manyatha is a wonderful person and highly professional and skilled in her work. She helped us for the last 14 days developing a digital marketing strategy and social media content for our projects. Ever since she arrived on September 27, she managed to immerse herself, understand, and identify the gaps in our system and help us develop a great digital marketing strategy. From there on, she worked tirelessly to create content based on the strategy she developed. It has highly helped us, and we are very grateful for her work. We appreciate the impact that it can have on our community. We wish she could stay longer . Her core strength is her creative vision for authentic storytelling telling through her content. She is highly efficient and her ideas were totally new. In addition, she also helped us with the tasks that were not event part of her project. PS: she cooks very delicious Indian food 🙂

Seb stayed with us for a week and was a real pleasure to host. He is calm, polite, cheerful and thoughtful, with a great attitude and a genuine willingness to help wherever needed. He helped us repair part of our fence so the cows could stay safely in their paddock, cleaned the gutters and solar panels, and even taught us how to safely get up on our roof. His agility and experience as an event rigger were evident. He even gave us some knot tying lessons. When the rain came, he happily switched gears and painted a few doors instead. On top of that, he cooked us a delicious butter chicken that we’re still talking about. Seb is independent, easy to talk to, and just really easy to have around. Do ask him about his job—it’s surprisingly interesting and sparked some great conversations. We really enjoyed having him here and would gladly welcome him back anytime.

I feel incredibly grateful and happy to have stayed with Sandy and her family. It’s such an open, loving home filled with laughter and kindness — you feel welcome from the very first moment. There’s always something to do around the house and garden, and the tasks are wonderfully varied — from indoor projects to gardening — with plenty of room for independent work, which is really appreciated. You learn so much here about the love for nature and animals, and the place truly feels like a little paradise for native birds. I also loved that there’s always something happening in the house, and so many wonderful people living and passing through. Whether it’s shared dinners, karaoke nights, or relaxing evenings with a guitar on the swing, this place — and all the people here — have taken a big place in my heart. I’ll definitely come back again 💚 Thank you for everything :)
