J'ai passé deux semaines incroyable avec Claire & Pierre-Yves et c'était une expérience vraiment inoubliable. Je me suis tout de suite sentie à l'aise avec eux, ils sont tellement gentils, chaleureux et sympatiques. Leur maison est dans la nature, l'atmosphère est très calme et paisible. Aussi dans la maison l'atmosphère est très sympa et j'avais l'impression que les deux sont vraiment à l'aise avec leur vie. Cette harmonie était perceptible. Pour moi c'était comme un petit coin de paradis d'être entouré par les chiens, les chevaux et les poules et d'avoir cette vue magnifique sur les montagnes. Nous avons mangé ensemble tous les jours, parfois avec un de leurs fils qui étaient là pour une visite. Je pouvais cuisiner tous les jours, préparer le déjeuner & le dîner, expérimenter des nouvelles recettes et exprimer ma créativité dans la cuisine (bien remplie de nourriture bio) J'ai pu profiter d'un emploi du temps que j'organisais comme je le souhaitais, un peu de jardinage, donner la nourriture aux poules et aux chiens et surtout cuisiner :)) Mon séjour chez Claire & Pierre-Yves était très rich en expériences: randonner, monter à cheval avec Claire (elle a deux chevaux mignons), participer dans une séance de thérapie, promener les chiens ensemble et chanter dans une chorale avec Claire. Ils m'ont même invité à passer un week-end dans un gîte avec leurs amis où on a vecu une petite aventure avec les chevaux ;) De plus, j'ai eu la possibilité de passer une journée à Chambéry et à Annecy. Claire et Pierre-Yves étaient patients et ont pris le temps de m'expliquer les mots français que je ne connaissais pas encore. C'est un environnement parfait pour améliorer son français. Claire et Pierre-Yves, merci pour votre cordialité et la possibilité de faire partie de votre belle vie pendant deux semaines. Ça m'a fait beaucoup de bien et je vous en suis tellement reconnaissante. J'aimerais bien retourner un jour 🫶🏼

Sono stato con Liz più di dieci giorni e posso garantirvi che vi troverete benissimo con lei. È stata utilissima in tutte le faccende sia della mia proprietà che della mia casa. Imparava subito i lavori all esterno e li faceva con piacere. A casa è sempre molto pulita, sistema tutto ed è bravissima a cucinare. È sempre allegra e di ottima compagnia infatti da host m sento di consigliarla a chiunque. Grazie tantisisme Liz 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Maeva stayed with us last year in 2024 April and May. Right from the beginning, I knew she is a very nice person. She is a very fast learner and teaches our students as an experienced teacher. She is also hardworking and so organized that she left materials and all her activities/lesson plans for the next volunteer. Whenever we had time, we spent time discussing about various topics but also sharing life experience. We went to visit parks and intersting places nearby our place on a weekend. She is very easy to be with, I highly recommend her and would be happy to receive her again if she wants to come back in the future. All the students hugged her and were crying when it was time for her to say good bye. We all, host, colleagues and students love Maeva, Most volunteers were great but Maeva is the best volunteer so far

Flore was a real joy to have stay and help us She was very helpful and loved to work outside We had so many laughing moments she has a great sense of humour! I recommend Flore to any potential hosts and wish her all the very best for the future Hopefully we will see her again one day!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying with you! Our first week was spent with Blandine, Margeux's aunt, who prepared amazing food for us and was never short of things to talk to us about! The work was varied and not too intense. The second week with Margeux and Flo was also lovely. The work was a little tougher, given the fact they are doing reconstruction but the time not working felt extremely rewarding, relaxing and serene. They live in a paradise and have extremely cute sheep. They both love board games so be prepared for some serious competition! Thank you for having us :)

I had an amazing month volunteering at the campsite. The place is well maintained, the surrounding nature is stunning, and most of all the people are fantastic! Willi is a great and experienced host, super friendly and always making sure you're comfortable. I spent a lot of time with Nat & Ainon who are incredibly welcoming, funny and kind, and make you feel right at home. They love to chat, laugh and share their experiences and knowledge if you're interested. Fooch also runs the campsite and you can have great conversations with him too. I slept in a small tent with a view near the beach and sunrise, which was perfect. Work started around 9am usually and consisted of a variety of manual tasks such as maintaining the camp grounds, setting up tents, fixing small things around etc. We got a budget for groceries to cook your own food, and the facilities were good so you have everything you need. It can be hot and sunny, with the occassional rain or storm. In my free time I could explore around, go swimming or kayaking, chill with the dogs or join going out for coffee/food sometimes, or best of all just relax and enjoy the scenery and nature and great people. Even the campsite guests were super friendly too. I feel I have made new friends for life and would like to come back someday very soon. Thank you all <3

Our time here was absolutely packed with beautiful experiences, delicious food, and wonderful people. The work we did was varied- a mixture of grape picking, grape pressing and preparing for the cabaret, circus festival. We had many opportunities to practise our french, and Jabber was always there to save the day and help us learn new words and phrases. If you are into circus performance, intrigued about wine making, or want to improve your language skills, this is an amazing location that feels deep enough in nature to fully connect with the experience.

Gabriela is an amazing workawayer. Suffices to say I had to be away, although I was the host, and I decided to accommodate her anyway and she left before I managed to arrive back in Siwa. Given all that, she was very reliable, accepted the house as is (50%-ish ready), handled the dogs beautifully and managed to enjoy all by herself. I recommend her as a workawayer whenever you can catch her :) Thank you Gabi, and waiting for the next time. And apology if anything was not the way you imagined.

Tom and Kaitlyn are some of the kindest and most easy-going people I‘ve ever met and their daughter Aubrey is sweet as pie! I’ve felt super welcomed from day one and was always treated as part of the family. Their property is beautiful and there is lots of room to have some time to yourself if you need to, although I didn‘t make much use of it as Tom and Kaitlyn are a lot of fun to hang out with. Most days I was simply working and living alongside them. Tasks varied greatly between outdoor tasks like fencing or stick picking, smaller house chores and watching Aubrey. Everything is really very doable and Kaitlyn always made sure I felt comfortable with every task assigned to me. Having another workawayer or Kaitlyn around for most tasks made them much more enjoyable aswell and I learned so much during my stay there (e.g. driving a quad, backing up a trailer in less than 5 attempts or putting diapers on the right way around lol). Besides work there is always lots of time left for going on little adventures around town or simply having fun at home. During my stay Kaitlyn took us camping at her horse show, hiking and dancing in the local pub. We went on an amazing trailride with her friend Kelly, were taught how to rope the dummy and had so many fun nights playing board games with their friends or just joking around and laughing. Kaitlyn and Tom I can never thank you enough for making my stay with you as unforgettable as it was. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your little family. You are such wonderful people and I miss you all so much already!

Avi&Gilad, it was a pleasure getting to know you and having you at our center. Gilad as a helpful hand in the kitchen, eager to learn our dishes, Avi also as a volunteer coordinator. Both were doing tasks with dedication and care. We'd be happy to see you both again in the future. BR, team....

I stayed here for a month and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the very first day, I was impressed by the high level of hospitality, you'll get a hotel the living standard, and you really feel like a guest rather than just a volunteer. The people working here are amazing; kind, open, and always happy to have a chat or share a laugh. During my stay, I had the chance to work both as a yoga teacher and as a gardening assistant, and both roles were beautiful and enriching in different ways. The place itself is stunning, set on an enormous and peaceful lake surrounded by nature. You can go down to the lake or explore the natural sites nearby, but honestly, even just staying inside the resort offers plenty to do and experience. A big thank you to all the staff for the warm welcome and for making me feel part of the family. I’m really grateful for the time I spent here and hope to come back one day!

The time I spend with Siri and the children was such a great experience! The children are so nice and respectful and Siri is a very kind woman. Sometimes a bit chaotic, but she makes sure you won't go hungry and takes you to places in her free time! I really enjoyed my time at Siri's place and would absolutely recommend it!

Larissa is a very Nice girl!! Have been with us more than 3 weeks, she work very well, hard worker, have talent to ride and make an amazing team with austrian Workayer. We like a lot to work with Larissa and share moments with her!

I didn’t stayed for very long at Ellen and Ricky’s place but had such a wonderful experience. They introduced me to a different way of living that I liked a lot to participate in. It was never boring because there was always something going on which doesn’t mean there wasn’t enough space for myself. I enjoyed the variating work and especially spending the time together and appreciate all the tips you gave me for traveling and living in New Zealand. Cheers Samuel

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Nick & Rebeca at the English Academy. They're not just great volunteers, they're two of the best English teachers we've ever hosted. Their engaging teaching style won over our students, and I learned so much just by watching them. They're such fun teachers! Outside the classroom, Nick & Rebeca cared about our future. They shared smart ideas that will truly help us grow. And Nick is a smart chess player! I had an amazing time playing a good game of chess with him. We're beyond grateful for their time with us. 😊

Miaomiao was a fantastic guest and great workawayer. She was very helpful in the gardens, polite and respectful to the other guests, and seemed to understand the task she was doing without needing attention or redirection. Really just about all I could hope for in what I would like in guests to our property. She is a wonderful lady and future hosts will enjoy having her.

I stayed with Mie for eight weeks, and as my first Workaway experience, couldn’t have asked for a better host or introduction to Japan. Mie went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. She was always thoughtful and attentive, especially when it came to my dietary requirements, she kindly checked food labels when we went shopping together and even adjusted meals so I could enjoy everything. Her home is lovely, clean, and very comfortable. Having my own fridge and freezer in my room was a great bonus and made daily life even easier. The area is so beautiful too, the train station is nearby as well as a gym, library and shops. There are lots of international events in the nearby city (Hakata) so it’s easy to make friends! Teaching at Mie’s English school was such a pleasure. Her students are polite, enthusiastic, and genuinely eager to learn, which made every class rewarding. Mie also communicates clearly and supportively, she explained everything in detail and made sure I always felt confident about my lessons and schedule. Outside of work, Mie was incredibly generous in sharing her culture with me. She took me to see local attractions like Fukuoka Tower and the Great Buddha, and those memories are something I’ll treasure forever. Mie is a truly kind, caring, and positive person who is fun to spend time with who and made my time in Japan unforgettable! I I’m so grateful for everything she did and would recommend her wholeheartedly to any future volunteer. Thank you so much Mie, I will miss you and the students very much!

Thank you so much, Annika It was such a joy having you here — your positive energy, kindness, and sense of fun made your stay a real highlight for us. We’ll never forget weathering Cyclone Alfred together and still finding reasons to laugh! We’re so glad you enjoyed the horses, the sunsets, and all the little adventures along the way — from golf cart runs to yoga evenings and movie nights. You truly made the most of your time here, and we have missed your wonderful spirit around the farm (the dogs do too!).
