Maxim has been an amazing workawayer, he accomplished every task quickly and nicely. He proposed me to do some unfinished work and it was very welcome! We shared some nice moments discussing and also discovering Assisi. I highly recommend Maxim as a commited and efficient and nice person.

Giorgia got her first WA experience from us, we couldn't have any best workaway as Gio and her sister Ana. They cooked for us and also they helped us with the garden, always been there for duties but above all practicing Italian with us, we can nothing more but recommend them for duties cooking and a very nice company. We wish them a very nice trip back home a looking forward to see them again.

We really recommend this experience. Living in Anh's house can be messy but we had all we need (shower,laundry,kitchen,toilet and AC). We were mostly by ourselves in this big house, and it was perfect for us. The task were easy to do, Ahh give us the work to do for the week. It took us maybe 3 days per week to do it and we could decide when to do it. Mostly, sorting old stuff and putting some order in the house. Putting out the garbage everyday, each day is a different garbage. Keeping clean the area we used. Time to time cutting grass or bushes. Most of the weekend, we worked with Anh the all day. Anh is a very lovely person, we tried to eat weekend lunch together. She is very understanding and easy to talk. To finish the area is great. Uno is a good city with hiking places, beaches, very good kakigori. Okayama, Takamatsu and Seto islands are all near and worth to go.

It was a pleasure to have Anna, she has been very good and efficient for every task I have been asking...even if some of them like moving some earth buckets were not so appealing! I thank her for her commitment and her kindness which made everything smooth and easy. I have been appreciating how she has precisely cleaned the bathroom of my imprecise painting! "I've been to Uschi's place twice now, and it's time I finally tell you all about my amazing time there. I was welcomed right away and felt comfortable instantly. Since I work with horses in my free time, I already knew what the tasks would involve, so it wasn't physically strenuous for me at all. Getting straight to the stable in the morning to take care of the horses was always great fun. As was helping out and riding along during the lessons. And let's not forget the beautiful trail rides through the woods! I truly felt at home there, and I really miss the people and the animals. Especially little Floki and Sam, who I always loved riding. Benjamin was a great Workawayer — reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely helpful. He adapted quickly to the tasks we needed and worked consistently with a good attitude. He contributed a lot during his stay, and we appreciated his respect for the space and the team. We would be happy to host him again and wish him all the best in his future travels.

Theo and Juliette were fantastic helpers. They stopped here for a week on their way to Morocco, helped out with the olive harvest, and got on well with everybody. They are very easy going, seasoned travelers and up for any task. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. Very recommendable!

Belinda and her partner David looked after our home and pets for a weekend when we were away. They cared for everything perfectly, it was very nice to return to happy animals and a clean place... Thanks again to you both!

We hosted Nico and Erica for almost one month and it was a great experience. They are a nice couple, being with them was comfortable and funny. They respected the house rules and the working times. We made lots of things, together and by them selves. It was a new experience for them staying at a farm and doing different tasks so I gave them simple jobs that they could do also alone, or harder jobs with us. They were also always happy to come with me going in the next town, to have a walk or just going to see the surrounding.

Clara has an incredible communication skill and positive energy. Even though she lacks prior knowledge and experience, she is a fast learner and someone who truly puts her hands under the stone. She brings her own sense of fun into every task she does, always smiling, always wonderful. Her interest in and love for nature, along with that classic French wild spirit, made the time we spent together on the farm truly special. May the light inside you always shine, and good luck.

Jana was a very good hire. Great with guests, on time, reliable. She's a very kind person, and it was lovely to have her on the team.

It’s been almost a year since I spent a month with Mark and Kate. It was my first experience with WorkAway, and it went wonderfully. Mark and Kate are people of incredible kindness and warmth. They have organized a beautiful complex of gîtes (holiday homes) and have welcomed many volunteers and travelers. They truly made me feel at home, introduced me to their family and friends, and showed me around the marvellous region of Bretagne. I got sick on the second day after my arrival, and overall I faced many challenges in that period of my life, but Mark and Kate treated me with complete warmth and later helped me in my job search and in finding ways to adapt to life in France. I am very grateful for this little journey they allowed me to take in my life. The work was varied and enjoyable, and I felt that I could be helpful and needed without experiencing discomfort or overload. Thanks to Mark and Kate, I gained many new experiences, met many interesting people, and had an overall wonderful time. I definitely recommend these hosts and wish them prosperity and all the very best!

We spent three wonderful weeks here with Maria, her beautiful dog Clara, and all her kittens. Maria is an incredible person, very supportive and generous. We spent a few days with her friends who came to visit and help out, as well as eating delicious traditional Greek food. We always slept in the house, which was warm and comfortable. As for work, it varied; there were always things to do, but mainly, given the time of year we were there, it was maintenance. The property is located in an incredible place, literally right on the seafront. Waking up every day to a sea view is priceless. Besides that, there are several places to explore, full of nature, and beaches that you can reach on foot in 30-40 minutes. We had the opportunity to see deer and other local animals several times. It's an experience we'll never forget, and we hope to return sometime, since we now have a new friend :)

It was indeed a pleasure hosting Timo at our farm. He takes on all tasks well and able to fit in well. He also gets along well with other volunteers and even able to teach and help out the new volunteers. He helped out preparing our new fish hut and has the necessary skills to assemble pipes and tanks. We would definitely recommend Timo to any hosts and as for us, we would welcome him again at the farm anytime.. he is like family now.

Writing this well after my stay (October 2024), but I have to recommend it. Jacob and Karen are two of the most brilliant and inspiring people you will ever meet, and this is a magical place. Grow, tend to, and eat incredible food prepared by an outstanding cook . Meet musicians from around the world and listen to intimate practice and performance. Help in whatever way you can and see your efforts displayed in how the farm changes. Connect with and be grounded by nature in a gorgeous part of the world. A little gushy but I can't quite do it justice.

This was my first workaway experience and I had an absolutely amazing time. Mr Majri and his live-in host Farizi were excellent hosts and I had so much fun spending time learning about Lombok culture, going to various schools within the district, meeting Majri's friends and immersing myself within such a friendly community. You will only be expected to teach in mornings from 9-12 am, Monday-Saturday, however Majri is very well connected with many teachers across the area and I ended up visiting many schools and volunteering more of my time. Expect the school level of English to be basic, many classes just involved practicing simple introductions and question/answer sessions. Being new to teaching English I didn't really come with any plan, but had great fun with the classes teaching basic pronunciation, sentence structure and learning the important verbs. It helps to do some lesson planning in your own time! Whether I went to elementary schools, junior or senior schools, I was always welcomed with such warmth from both children and the teachers. It is truly a special experience to have so many adoring children want to meet and speak with you. The accommodation suited me very well but is basic (don't expect a western style bathroom). It's outside of the local town so it is peaceful, but early morning prayer can be heard nearby. I was provided with three amazing meals a day and introduced to some fantastic local dishes - a big highlight from my time here. I was given many options for things to do in my free time, such as visiting waterfalls in Tetabatu, hiking the hills of Sembalun, as well as other cultural experiences. I also had lots of fun in my evenings drinking coffee and spending time with many of Majri's friends. I am so happy to have had this experience and will really treasure the memories and people I have met in this time. Thank you to Majri, his friends and the amazing people of Lombok. Truely a special experience.

It was an absolute pleasure have Dorota stay at my place. She is very easy to get along and make conversion with and is an excellent house guest, always jumping up at the end of meals to do dishes and help tidy up. She also took on any task with great flexibility and enthusiasm, and very capably and conscientiously got things done. It was very nice having a kindred spirit stay who loves nature and being outdoors and happily accepted my suggestions for adventures like camping by a lake on an ecological survey. We had some great conversations and I really feel like I got to know her and make a new friend. She will always be welcome in my house.

Terry and Barb are outstanding hosts. Right from the moment they picked me up the train station I felt at ease and comfortable. Their property is just stunning and it was a true pleasure working to help maintain the expansive rainforest Terry has built up over the years. You can expect outdoor physical based work, which I personally and found very satisfying. After my working hours Terry graciously took me around to the local hot spots to sight see which was SO appreciated! Thanns for everything guys.
