Ella es profesora de inglés, pero siempre le encantó desarrollar la pequeña escuela y comunicarse con los extranjeros para brindarles a los niños la mejor experiencia educativa. Disfrutamos mucho hablando con ella. conocer a su familia y los estudiantes son educados y motivados para aprender. Ser voluntario allí es fácil y el clima es bueno y cálido. Saludos cordiales Ali El Club de Ingles, fue una gran oportunidad para nosotros, la señorita Carol ejerce una gran labor al compartir con los niños sus conocimientos, motivandolos aprender el idioma ingles de una forma dinámica y divertida. Fue una experiencia enriquecedora la que pudimos compartir con este maravilloso grupo. El club de inglés, y el ambiente es genial volveríamos cada vez que visitemos Honduras. I had a truely special experience staying with Veronica and Doug in their amazing home. They were both so welcoming, genuine and interesting people. I had countless interesting conversations with them about their lives, culture, the outdoors and many other topics. Doug really is great at telling stories and always up for a bit of jokey banter. My highlights had to be sitting down at the table together with a beautiful, healthy and filling meal made fresh by Veronica. Sitting down for a fulfilling delicious breakfast and coffee with the sunrise was also very special. I fell in love with their home and the local area and in my spare time managed to get out on so many great adventures. There is fantastic trail running and walking up in the hills and even a cave with some great looking climbing routes. I got to borrow a kayak to paddle out into the estuary to explore by water and even took it out to sea for an amazing sunset. I also loved borrowing a bike and cycling into Sumner for more exploration and coffee. The work was also great, I was tasked with something and could get on with it with a fantastic degree of freedom and I always felt appreciated by Veronica and Doug. I am missing the experience already and would love to cross paths with them again in the future!

Jeremy was a machine. Such a great experience to have someone to back you up so much. Super hard worker and great person. He helped me get my new project up in the air and I am super grateful. If you're lucky enough to have him apply for you don't hesitate for a second. Was great connecting with another artist and fellow tattooer. Always welcome back. Aloha bro!

Ina helped us a lot. She was always very responsible and organized. She was very kind to the guests and the hostel staff, highly recommended!

Tessa and her Family are from my perspective the image of perfection. They are literally living the dream and allow you part take in a slice of their paradise for the length of your stay. I could not recommend them any higher. I feel like I barely did anything compared what they provided. I was given my own private massive room with access to a fully functioning kitchen suitable for commercial use and private bathroom. There was so many varied jobs to do and Tessa went above and beyond to accommodate me. Tessa is in fact the type of beautiful spirit one wishes there was more in the world and someone to aspire to be like. you'll be welcome into their perfect family and treated as such. you may even put on some weight from the incredible meals / dinners and breakfasts that were provided to me some days. was like eating at a 5 star resort. what's more , staying with them , is like staying with a local celebrity. everyone knows them and because of this , it unlocks even more potential for your stay. because of Tessa, I was able to travel Fiji, meet their friends and do more then what I inntially thought possible. from Scuba diving to glass blowing to surfing. If you are fortunate to be able to stay with them , grab the opportunity with both hands and prepare to have your life changed.

J’ai passé un séjour au top ! Marc, Flore et les enfants ont été très accueillants 😊 Je ressors de ce tout premier Workaway totalement apaisée et reconnaissante : premièrement car le lieu est juste idyllique !! Et deuxièmement car Marc m’a appris énormément tant sur sa manière de traiter son potager, que sur la manière dont il perçoit la vie 🌸☀️🙌🏼 Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, ça faisait longtemps que je n’avais pas aussi bien mangé, sain et succulent (les enfants cuisinent comme des chefs 🧑‍🍳) et pour le logement, rien à dire, la chambre est très confortable et la salle de bain très propre !! Encore merci pour tout, j’espère vous recroiser sur Golden ou ailleurs 🌏😁

We just spent 2 amazing weeks with Maxi Tita and their very cute baby Bruna! They made us feel very welcomed into their home and we shared amazing experiences, delicious meals and great conversations. The work was varied, from feeding the animals, maintenance of the farm, moving things, cooking and playing with Bruna. The place is in an absolutely stunning location, surrounded by mountains and perfect if you're looking to recharge in nature! You won't get bored but also will have plenty of time to go for great walks around with the dogs (we will miss them too!!). We were lucky to be there on one of the weekends when they hosted their friends, and felt extremely included, learnt how to make empanadas and enjoyed an amazing asado! Thanks Maxi and Tita for such a good time that we will not forget! Nos vemos amigos!

What a delight to have this beautiful soul as a part of our family for a moment in time. Martine is truly a special and wonderful being with so many good qualities! She is sweet, kind, loving, empathic, fun, smiling, positive, optimistic, creative, smart, clever, wise, sensitive, and very heartworking! (She worked really hard and poured her love into everything she did) We enjoyed do much to share our life and also our freetime with her. Our connection felt so effortless, natural and loving from the start. We all love her, adukts, kids and pets, and miss her very much ❤️

It was a very nice experience staying at Peter and Ann on their little paradise. I stayed in a beautiful appartment the days I was there. I could help them with some physical tasks. During the shared meals we got to know each other. I spend some nice evenings together talking about music, bread, bees and olives. The shared mutual interest in the same music was a big bonus 🤟🏼. Hope to see you again and when I am around I will drop you a message. P.S. Peter makes delicious bread and Ann cooks very nice meals! 🧡

I volunteered for 2 weeks at this hostel and it was an amazing experience. The staff is incredible, very welcoming and made me feel immediately like home. When I was there (April), volunteers had to do 4 shifts a week, each of 7 hours (mornings or afternoons). There is a good organization and clear communication, which I really appreciated. There are many other perks like the atmosphere, the pool, facilities, and delicious breakfast. Would 100% recommend!!

We really enjoyed out time with Navneet! He is very personable and communication was 100%. Navneet was an incredible help in the garden and had a lovely idea to build a trellis using alders nearby. It was a great addition to my garden beds! We enjoyed fishing and he was very lovely with my dog Jasper. He brought treats for him and took time to play with him also. Navneet is very knowledgeable in gardening and had some suggestions for good plant companions and brought seeds to share with me from India which was a lovely surprise. Navneet was happy with all the meals and eagery offered to help cook and clean up afterwards. Great guest!

I stayed a month at the farm and it was a great experience that I'd highly recommend! Giselle, Noriga, and Jahshel made me feel welcome immediately and you can really feel the love of the family. I also spent a lot of time with neighbours so it was an authentic cultural experience. The farm is making a comeback after COVID and so much was planted during my month there; I am excited to see the future of it. I helped on the farm as well as with packaging preserved fruits, and also went to help at the local preschool. I loved the food in Trinidad and the family are all great cooks! I am looking forward to coming back to visit soon!

This place is a blast! Highly recommended. Andrew has a great group of workers, volunteers, and friends to make it a fantastic experience. I hope to return one day and pick a pineapple from the tree I planted!

I was in the project for about 3 months and had an amazing time. I was made so welcome and warmly received and made friends and family. I taught 5th grade at the Roman Catholic School, danced at the cultural centre and got involved in the Girls Empowerment Club. Here I spoke about topics such as health and self-esteem. The communication and organisation for the planning before the stay and also on site is very well organised. Eric, the director in Tafo, is always approachable and tries to make everything possible. I also had interesting conversations with him about cultural exchange. There is accommodation with shared bathrooms and delicious food cooked by Dina. I can recommend the project to anyone, as it is so diverse and you have many opportunities to support and develop yourself. From Max: I was only there for 3 weeks, but it was a great time. I was immediately integrated and made to feel welcome. I coached the younger children in football, which was great fun! I also helped out at school and in the girls club. All in all, I had a great time and got to know some great people.

Dave was a great first Workaway host! He picked me up for a surf as soon as I arrived in Kaitaia. Days were filled with household tasks (laundry, cooking, dishes) and some work outside (weeding, clearing paddocks). I loved getting to work independently while Dave was at school during the week (or with fellow workawayers!) and finding time for painting and things after school. Weekends were filled with surfing, fishing, trips to the local farmer’s market, and drawing by the fire after an activity-filled day. Dave even patiently and enthusiastically participated in some yoga classes! We even got to visit Dave’s school, which was a wonderful way to experience a new place and culture. Hope the whiteboard is still in full force! :)

It was such a pleasure to have Christine come to stay, our only regret was that she could not stay longer. Christine was polite, helpful, hardworking, kind and fun to have around. It was really lovely to look out of the window and see her climbing trees with our son, or hear them having a drum battle! Christine was a quick learner with the tasks that we asked of her (mainly gardening) and she was dedicated to getting the job done. She shared lots of her gardening knowledge with us which was really helpful and was really sociable. Christine was also really open to trying new things and to joining in our day to day activities including things like coming to my gym classes and coming climbing. Any family lucky enough to have Christine to stay will not reget it I am sure. We hope that she will come and stay again one day.

We absolutely fell in love with Fedora. So fun! Our first official university intern, she sets a high bar for any others to come. "Hey, Fedora, do you want to ..... (whatever... even the hard dirty tasks)"... "of course!" Great attitude. Ready to learn and try. Cheerful, delightful, organized and structured learner. Organized, good cook, high achiever, and so great with the animals that miss her almost as much as we do. Brave to sleep happily in the Gavilana House, climb trees, and touch even the most buggy of bugs with awe and wonder. She's welcome back anytime as family.

Oh, how we loved our time with Franzi! She contributed in so many ways while here on the farm. In her first few days, even though she had to be jet lagged, she assisted with a woodworking project building a custom frame for one of our daughter's paintings. She jumped right into helping with animals and she and the horses fell in love with each other. Some of the many other projects she helped with/took the lead on included keeping our animal paddocks clean, flipping compost, cleaning our horse pond, clearing and spreading mulch on trails, cutting and burning brush, picking millions and millions of mulberries, helping make mulberry preserves, and starting on fence work to expand our goat enclosure. She was originally scheduled to stay with us for three weeks but, thankfully, due to a cancellation, managed another month here in Texas. She really fit right into the family! Franzi is physically strong and intuitive when it comes to keeping tasks moving forward. She takes initiative at all the right times, and arrives for the day prepared to contribute in any way she can. She is independent, yet works well with a group too. I imagine she'd be a perfect worker for any host! She and our horse, Blue, were particularly keen on each other and Franzi spent her extra time working with him multiple times a week. He's experienced past trauma from an abusive owner and Franzi's tenderness with him was wonderful. Her quiet patience, yet confident nature, goes a long way with large prey animals like horses, and particularly with Blue, who requires special care from anyone who works with him. Franzi is a deep thinker and interesting person, good at asking questions and sharing ideas in compelling conversation. We really miss Franzi and hope to see her again in the future!

Alba is a lovely young lady who helped our family immensely! Having her with us was great, hopefully she’ll come back to see us soon! Alba thank you so much! I hope you will have an amazing time in your next adventure, my whole family wishes you the best💘
