Scott was great, very willing to help and possessed skills and knowledge that proved very helpful around here. He arrived in his own vehicle and even had tools. I highly recommend Scott and he is welcome here anytime.

The two weeks spent at Alex’ were a wonderful time. Alex welcomed me in her life and introduced me to her friends. I felt at home. The house is lovely, with an amazing garden and a very nice & comfortable private bedroom & bathroom for workawayers. Amazing views all around, so even while pulling weeds or digging in the garden you can enjoy the beautiful countryside. I loved the variety of the work and the trust I was given. And already miss the conversations and friendship. Will definitely be back!

I had an absolutely amazing time at the sanctuary! 💛 The animals were incredible, and I learned so much about them. I was especially grateful for the chance to learn from Sabine and Maddy—they are both very knowledgeable, and their passion is truly inspiring. Meeting wonderful and kind people was another highlight of my stay. Working together for the well-being of the animals was such a rewarding experience. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the natural surroundings were amazing. The sunsets in particular were absolutely stunning and made the day special. Evelina and Maurizio are wonderful hosts. We had an amazing time there exploring an italian lifestyle on the countryside. Evelina is a great cook and nearly everything is selfmade and from their gardens, we enjoyed that so much. The work is simple and physical but never too much. If you're willing to work and bring hands on mentality the place is perfect. And you can cuddle their dogs 24/7.

Dear Ellora It took me a long time to write this review for you. I apologize. It is much easier to write something for an average helper then for someone outstanding like you! It very easily sounds saucy. Anyway, Ellora stayed with us nearly 3 months during 2 visits. She did stand out of the long row of helpers we had over the years. She did all the chores and more she was supposed to do with great care and attitude. This was wonderful but this is only part of the picture, and we had many helpers I would have said the same. Ellora did a lot of weeding, mowing and wiper snipping, picking berries, planting seedlings and did some woodwork projects using skilfully most carpentry power tools. In addition to a great helper, we had the privilege to share our life with a young women mature far beyond her age. Her presence and energy did light up our house and soul and we had the chance of meeting a human on an honest, open and equal level. Ellora plays an incredible soul touching piano and as a massage therapist she does magic to your pains and aches. In a lot of ways, her beautiful presents changed the life of our family and helped me to be more present and grow to a greatly improved version of myself. We did and will stay in contact with Ellora and look forward to meeting again. We do not know the future, but we wish Ellora an exciting, fulfilled life and hope we will be able to stay in contact with her to share our journey through life.

We had a wonderful time with Viviana, Stefano and their son! They are a great people, open-minded, kind and flexible. We liked the interesting and warm personal contact, the occasional dinners together and the opportunity to practice our Italian as well as the privacy of your own apartment. And what an apartment! The two spacious, sunny and newly renovated rooms open directly to the garden and give you a wonderful view of the Piemontese Alps! The house is in a green, quiet location yet just a half-hour walk to a nice little town with cafés, shops and a weekly market and with good bus connections. We can warmly recommend the family, and we will return again for another stay with them in a few weeks … 😊.

Dominique and Victor, Where to begin? They stayed with us for two months and we would have kept them longer if we could! They were a great addition to the team, always creating a good atmosphere for the volunteers and giving a warm welcome to the new arrivals. They were a perfect combination of relaxed and motivated, both during and outside of the shifts. They were hardworking and thorough, completing shifts on their own , and always lending a helping hand to get tasks done faster, making them great team players! Victor cooked for the community on several occasions, providing us with delicious meals, and Dominique made our place look more alive by gardening and planting flowers. As well they had a lovely connection with the kids and community alike. They left for a short while on other adventures but were welcomed back here with open arms from everyone. Overall they were a perfect pair and created a good vibe during their time here, we would be more than happy to host them again!

My words won’t be enough to express the warmth and kindness Edward and Ingrid showed me, but I’ll still try to write it here as I want more people to experience this feeling! This was my third Workaway experience, and Edward and Ingrid’s place gave me a completely homely feeling. The work of renovating an old house is incredibly satisfying, and you might want to keep doing it endlessly. However, Edward and Ingrid make sure you eat properly and take breaks, which doesn’t happen everywhere. They also join you for all three meals, and sometimes their friends come over. It gives the place a total homely feel. But BEWARE of Edward’s jokes—they are always super funny, so be prepared! 😂 So, Edward and Ingrid, take care and keep enjoying life until we meet again. I highly recommend this Workaway opportunity to people looking for hosts who are willing to teach new skills in building renovation with a creative mind and lots of positive vibes! 🙂

I had a true pleasure to host Natalia. Sharing space with her was very comfortable, she didn't disturb my usual being anyhow but made it better with her cooking and caring things around. She did a great job with cleaning the deck and I really appreciate it. Also was nice to have someone to discuss various matters that had our interest in common.

I can describe Mr Aziz as a young man of 66 years old due to his being independent, generous, respectful, Initiative taker, helpful,energetic and a multi -task man. During his stay at my farm,,I was surprised that he did many tasks without being told: every day, he prepared healthy delicious food, help around the house,then go out to feed the animals or do the cleaning or fix and repair things such as construction,painting,irrigating trees.... I strongly recommend Mr Aziz to your place because he is such skilled, knowledgeable and experienced man. A lot of thanks and gratefulness to you my brother.

We definitely enjoyed the time Valentine spent with us. She adapted quickly to our daily routine and pitched in when help was needed doing all types of household chores. She is a lovely and cheerful person and always has a smile on her face. We had a variety of work we needed help with. Even though Valentine didn’t have much experience in painting she was happy to learn and gave our wooden garden furniture a new look. In our garden she helped battle the weeds and it looked a lot better when she left! Valentine ticks all boxes of a perfect workawayer. And if you want to make her happy just cook a Swiss cheese fondue 😉 In addition to her very positive work attitude she is very well organised and reliable and for the time she spent with us she was a great company. So, don’t hesitate if Valentine enquires for a stay with you! Thanks so much, Valentine!!

I had the privilege of spending two weeks at the School in Attriya, Nepal, under the dedicated leadership of Mr. Madan Joshi. His passion for transforming his school into the best is truly inspiring. Mr. Madan is eager to learn and keen to bring the best educational practices from around the world to his students. During my time there, I conducted academic audits, classroom observations, and notebook inspections. I also made several suggestions on branding, publicity, co-curricular activities, social media, and creating promotional videos. Mr. Madan was extremely receptive and quick to learn, always eager to understand the best practices from top schools in India. His enthusiasm for learning is unparalleled. Despite it being my first Workaway experience, Mr. Madan ensured my stay was comfortable. When my initial accommodation didn’t suit me, he promptly arranged a more suitable one. He also took me on trips to the nearby mountains, parks and the riverside, ensuring I had a pleasant experience during my evenings and off-days. His staff was supportive, cooperative, and attentive to my dietary preferences. Mr. Madan’s enthusiasm is mirrored by his young and dynamic team of teachers. I am confident that this School has a bright future ahead. I look forward to a continued association with the school and wish them all the very best. I have no doubt that Mr. Madan’s vision and dedication will make this school, the best in the area.

We had a wonderful time looking after the garden and the animals. Murielle's place is amazing and we were lucky enough to spend 2 weeks there. The accommodation by the pool is more than adequate and we felt totally at home there. Our fridge was filled to the brim with healthy food and Murielle made sure we didn't go without anything we needed. The work was quite hard if you're not used to physical work but it was also very satisfying and enjoyable and only up to 5 hours a day (5 days a week). Central town is around a 40 min walk but occasional buses go there. Nimes itself is very historical and we went to the Roman games at the amphitheatre as it was Roman week. (By chance , we didn't know this beforehand). Murielle was very kind and ordered pizza for us all to have one lunchtime. We also met her children who were also very welcoming and friendly towards us. We even got a lift to Avignon from her son which was very helpful. We recommend a stay with her to everyone who loves peace and quite and nature and animals.

We travel the world cycling; it's wonderful, but sometimes it's exhausting. We needed to take a break and stay in one place for a while. On the other hand, we were interested in discovering the island of Crete and wanted to work with animals. Our stay with Debs and KJ perfectly met and even exceeded our expectations! It was like staying with good old friends, taking care of their cute and funny rescue dogs, doing some jobs in the garden, or building simple things. We spent a lot of time eating wonderful food together and talking about our respective experiences; it was very interesting for us! This part of the island is quite remote, but the beaches and the village of Kastri are very nice. KJ and Debs are very kind, and you can borrow their car to explore the surroundings. It can be very windy, but with the nice accommodation for the volunteers, it's okay! We truly recommend this experience with this wonderful couple!

I recently had the incredible opportunity to visit two outstanding schools in Nepal, thanks to the excellent coordination by Mr. Durga. The first school, Public School in Kathmandu, is run by Mr. Birendra and Ms. Biva. My day with them was an unforgettable academic exchange. I observed their best practices, interacted with the students, and shared insights about my own country. Additionally, I conducted a training session for the teachers, covering classroom management, active-learning concepts and best pedagogical practices. Ms. Biva also graciously took me to the Pashupatinath Temple and the famous Darbar Square, showcasing her exceptional hospitality and warmth. The second school I visited was Secondary School, located near the Fishtail Mountain Peak. This village school, led by the remarkable headmaster Mr. Santosh Acharya, is truly world-class. I was impressed by their innovative practices and the dedication of their staff. During my training session with the teachers, we exchanged best practices, and I was inspired by their eagerness to learn. The beauty of the village and the genuine hospitality I received were unparalleled. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Durga for connecting me with these progressive and upwardly mobile schools. It was a privilege to visit such amazing institutions, and I wish them all the very best. thank you Mr Durga

About one week ago I returned from my Workaway experience at Gabi's place in Hungary which was one of the most special journeys I’ve had for a while. I've stayed for 14 days at Gabi's place and it really was a wonderful experience. Gabi and Mark are extremely kind and willing to make your stay a special experience. The work is honest but never too long, and during lunch time a wonderful Hungarian meal is waiting for you. Gabi and Mark arranged for me to experience the ‘Tanchaz’ evenings where I experienced the wonderful art of Hungarian folk dance. One truly sees the beauty of the Hungarian folklore culture on these evenings. The nature is something truly special and the way of living brings you back to the basics. In modern day life, we tend to forget the beauty of living close to nature and enjoy the simple pleasures. If you enjoy an off grid way of living, where you have wonderful conversations, amazing food, rich widllife and special folk dance evenings, than this is an experience that I can recommend to everyone. Looking forward to stay in touch with Mark and Gabi who have a special place in my heart. Gijs

Working with Sara, Linda and the entire team over in the English School in Casablanca was truely an amazing experience. They were so welcoming, kind and truely happy to have me there which I really appreciated. The school is exactly as described in the description with a high level of professionalism and the students were a great pleasure to engage with as they had a true passion for learning English. I will definitely be doing another visit to Sara’s school in the coming months as it was really a wonderful experience.

Philipp became a brother for life. It was an honor to watch him work on his building projects and knives, and to help him as best I could while learning tons of new stuff. Living barefoot in the mountain jungle, cooking some of the best food I've ever made, and having meaningful conversations truly made me feel alive. I look forward to returning home to the lake one day. Thank you, for real 🙏🏼💎

Liz & Gerard were a polite, hardworking and willing couple. They learnt and adhered to our workawaying rules and worked well with 2 other workawayers staying here. All of the tasks asked of them were completed to an excellent standard and with a happy disposition. We wish them a happy trip travelling around Europe and are sure they will be an asset to other hosts with their experience in varied fields.
