Staying with Marco, Nadine, and the incredible community around them was truly a blessing. In just 12 days I feel as though I made a connection of immeasurable value. There aren’t really words to describe how much I enjoyed my time with them. So all I will say, is if you are traveling and want to meet people with beautiful hearts and fun energy, look no further than right here. I hope to make it back one day, thank you Marco and Nadine for making my stay so special!

Bayane enriched our family life with her cheerful nature and her wonderful sensitivity toward our children. She was always smiling and handled every situation with a positive and calm approach. Bayane is also very sporty and integrated fitness exercises into her daily routine several times a day. She loved involving the children and showing them new things. Her athleticism was a great benefit with the kids, as they also enjoy being active and loved jumping on the trampoline, skipping rope and going jogging with her. We were able to go on several family outings together, which she always joined with gratitude and joy. Even our youngest bonded with her from the very first day, and she taught him his first French word (“d’eau”). All in all, living together with Bayane was a true blessing for us, and we consider her to be very adaptable. If you have the opportunity to welcome Bayane into your home, do not hesitate — she will approach every task with motivation and heart. Dear Bayane, you are always warmly welcome back with us, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Luisa spent two and a half weeks with us in early autumn. She was a real pleasure to host: kind, positive and open minded. She was very respectful towards our home and fitted in nicely right from day one. The kids loved her. It was pleasant to have her around. It was also fun to work together, she helped me with loads of small tasks around the house and especially in the garden. Painting a picnic bench, helping with the apple and walnut harvest, helping with the hay and the rain gutters….she does not mind getting her hands dirty. The sheep and cats really liked her too. And that is all the sheep, not just our charming (ex -bottle fed) Herzi. 😁 One downside: the time went by too fast, so we hope to see you again!

Bambi ist ein sehr wertvoller, ehrlicher und zuverlässiger Mensch. Sie kann sich an die unterschiedlichsten Orte und Situationen anpassen. Sie ist bescheiden und Hilfsbereit. Sie arbeitet viel und ist fleißig. Sie war / ist eine echte Bereicherung für alle Lebewesen die an diesem Platz Leben.

Eva brought a special energy to the work day! She always managed to make things work, even if they weren't ideal. Even though shy and quiet at first, once she feels comfortable you will never have a dull moment! Thank you Eva for being prepared for the mud mixing! and for the conversations.

It was a pleasure to host Georgia. She is a dedicated and caring person who approaches her work with genuine commitment and curiosity. Georgia brings fire and a strong sense of her own opinion, while also staying open to other perspectives and ways of doing things. She communicates well, contributes thoughtfully, and adds a kind, positive energy to her environment. We’ve stayed in touch, as there’s a sense of mutual respect and connection that naturally developed during our time together. We can recommend Georgia with confidence and positivity. ✨

Jarno was a pleasure to host! I enjoyed hanging with him at work as well as after work. He introduced me to many cool games that make the monotonous work fun. He was always patient at work and even though the work could get physically challenging, he kept at it. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. I would easily recommend Jarno to any host.

We appreciated Jim and Solene’s help in the house and in the yard and gardens. They completed a lot of tasks that we had been unable to get to this year. They also housesat while we were out of town, which was a big help with the gardens and our cat. We enjoyed many interesting and informative conversations, helping us to learn about other cultures and countries. They cooked a delicious French soup for us and they were very respectful of our space when our friends and family were visiting. He completed some yard and other repair tasks that would have been very difficult for us to do. Upon leaving Solene cleaned their room and bathroom better than any quests we have had. Thank you for everything!

No puedo expresar lo suficientemente lo hermoso que es este lugar, tanto en espíritu como en naturaleza. He tenido la suerte de vivir muchas experiencias maravillosas con Workaway durante los últimos 12 meses viajando por Colombia, Ecuador y Perú — pero esta me tocó profundamente. We had an amazing time here end of summer/this autumn. The farm was beautiful with all the colors changing within the nature, and I loved spending my days with the horses and getting to know each and every one, each being different with different needs! — they were such sweet characters. The hosts were kind and easygoing, and the other Workawayers made it feel like home, often going on little trips as we were able to use the car. We shared meals, laughed a lot, and enjoyed cozy evenings after the yard chores in our shared accommodation with private rooms which was well kept and cosy. Regina never let us overwork ourselves and wanted us to enjoy our time- making us delish apple pie with home grown apples. It was peaceful, grounding, and honestly hard to leave after making these connections! Thank you so much!!!! 🤍 Experienced riders got to ride from time to time with the riding instructor in the indoor arena as well, there's lots of lovely places to walk nearby and not far from places like Klaipeda and palanga if fancying a more social day out!

Antonia worked with us for 2.5 months as a yoga instructor at our hotel, and we couldn’t have been happier to have her on our team. She led wonderful yoga sessions — always well-prepared, creative, and perfectly adapted to the needs and levels of our guests. Her calm presence, clear guidance, and positive energy made each class a highlight of the day, and she quickly built a strong connection with both guests and staff. Beyond her yoga teaching, Antonia was an incredible team player. She willingly helped at the bar and around the hotel whenever needed, always with a smile and a great attitude. Her openness, reliability, and flexibility made her a true pleasure to work with. She’s the kind of person who naturally lifts the atmosphere around her — always in a good mood, kind, and respectful toward everyone. Antonia is also very diligent and quick to learn new tasks, showing initiative and care in everything she does. Her professionalism and positive mindset made a lasting impression on our team and guests alike. We can recommend Antonia wholeheartedly — she’s talented, trustworthy, and a joy to have around. 10/10 – an outstanding yoga teacher and an even better person.

We had great time at Zheni's Beach House for two months and we were offering Yoga, careing for Kaya (dog) and doing supervision at the Hotel. There is absolutely nothing to complain about from our side. The beach is just 20 meters far away and you also can enjoy the local little fishermen village ,,El Transito" and delicious local restaurants like ,,El Ancla". Time will run at this beautiful place! The communication with Zheni was really good and you always know what to do. We would really recommend in advance to take some cash with you because there is no ATM in the whole village (card payment is sometimes accepted, if you are lucky and the device is running at the moment). There is a local bus from Managua to El Transitio, ask Zheni for more details (price: ~2$ with luggage). It is an adventure to take this bus, you should not miss it!

From the first moment on, I felt very welcome at Monica and Frank’s place. Even though they were sick during the first few days, they made sure I felt at home and had everything I needed. Frank and I mostly worked on and around the barn to prevent it from being flooded — for example, by building the structure for a canopy. He was very patient in showing me how to use all the tools and gave me the freedom to work independently. Besides the work, they made sure I got to see a lot of the surroundings and filled our conversations with interesting facts about nature, culture, and history. Thank you for the amazing time together!

Francesco is not only a lovely person, but also a exceptional worker. All the time that work with us, everything was amazing. He's someone that you have to have in your hostel if you want your guests to feel like home. It was a real pleasure to have him, and we wish him all the best.

We had a wonderful time during this Workaway, we found the experience was ideal for what we hoped to do and we really enjoyed the month that we stayed at the apartment in Pisa. Having access to a car allowed us to easily travel around Pisa, visit local sights a bit further afield, and having the weekends mostly free let us do trips further afield for an overnight stay elsewhere, it's a great location for feeling like you can walk 5 mins and be in the fields of the Tuscan countryside, and yet still have the comforts of suburbia as well as having easy access via busses to the heart of the city in Pisa! Francesca and Gabrielle are sincere and genuinely welcoming and kind! They go above and beyond to be accommodating and understanding, they aren't hard to work with and are happy to share language learning of Italian and are willing to practice their English too! Lara and Martino are beautiful kids full of personality and energy, it was a real gift to be able to get to know them and share laughter and games over the afternoons and evenings of baby sitting with them! The garden upkeep was the main project that we were able to help out with along with regular house cleaning and tidying up, these tasks gave us a nice routine for our time. Duccio the dog has a vivacious and charming nature and while he is an endless supply of energy and attitude this can be a rewarding challenge to learn how to charm him into cooperation for walks and play times! Living with a local Italian housemate is a wonderful cultural experience and she is friendly, mature and respectful! She works full time so isn't often around the house which meant we always had plenty of space to ourselves as well. We made lots of friends in the local area through the church in Pisa called Chiesa La Torre and we can recommend this church to others visiting the area as a welcoming and friendly community! Overall we love Pisa, the Italian culture, language and our host family were great.

we can’t recommend guim’s opportunity enough! he’s a wonderful person and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with him. the work was enjoyable, the food was incredible, and the conversations were always heartfelt and genuine. he went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed and we really felt how much he cares. we left with an amazing new friendship and beautiful memories!

Zach and Jordan were immediately recognized by my 4 dogs as dog lovers. They just loved them right away and there was little to no adjustment period. That's probably because they foster dogs in their home country and are very experienced leaders of the pack. They always sent an assortment of photos of the dogs out on their adventures which was a nice touch. They are both lovely people and were a pleasure to host. Thank you Zach and Jordan for pouring your love and care into Huevo, Matilda, Chad and Yovi.
