Paul stayed for a couple of weeks, this filled a gap for both of us and was a great success. Paul was funny, hard-working, good company and kind. He can do most anything around the house and garden well and applied himself to the many small tasks that exist this time of year including: painting, trimming hedges, lopping huge overgrown fig trees, chopping dead and broken trees and branches and general gardening . We had such a lovely time, I am sure he will return. Thank you Paul

We spent two amazing weeks with Kathie and Isabella, and we are really grateful for the time we shared together. From the first day, they welcomed us with kindness, laughter and a real family feeling. The work was not complicated and we always felt respected and trusted. Kathie is an excellent cook — we enjoyed every meal and shared many great moments around the table. We also had beautiful conversations, calm moments, and a lot of fun together. It truly felt like living as a family, not just volunteering. Thank you for your warmth, your openness, and your smiles. We will remember our stay with you for a long time 🤍 Max & Ludi

Ida and Sina are competent and perfect Workaway participants. They stayed with us for 2 weeks and were extremely helpful they made us very happy. They had indoor and outdoor jobs and followed instructions perfectly. They were always on time and diligently contributed with no fuss. They are a blessing and are great role models for our two young girls. The jobs included permaculture chop and drop with leaf much distribution along long rows which also included planting of young banana suckers. They also used a post hole driver and a crow bar to plant frangipani trees in a long rows along the driveway. They helped relocate scrap metal waste to our pick up point. They helped deconstruct a large rabbit enclosure and clean the poop which went to the strawberry garden which they also planted in the herb spiral. Inside they cleaned windows, cleaned floor, made beds, helped cook and prepare every meal and completely took everything out of the kitchen cupboards and cleaned and reorganised everything. They took instruction well and were easy and friendly to spend time with. They have good manners and no nasty bad habits. They appreciated our contribution to their Workaway experience. It is with confidence that I recommend Ida and Sina to you. They are young but don't underestimate them, they will pleasantly surprised you.

Theo was a very warm and welcoming person with a kind heart. He came during a very busy period for us and was not afraid to always ask how he could help. He spent a lot of time with the kids from going on bike rides, fishing, teaching them handball, to completing a rubix cubes. Theo made great connections with the kids and each and every one of us will miss you!

We really enjoyed having Reuben stay with us for just over 2 weeks. He was cheerful, energetic, keen to utilise his skills and knowledge (which was considerable - on many different subjects from the celestial night sky to how to make good compost to caring for hens to woodwork) and to learn something from us. He worked many more hours than expected, including checking traps, potting up native trees, weeding out gorse and broom and constructed a pathway for our vegetable bed, among many other things. Reuben met many members of our local community along the way (including helping with tailing lambs for our neighbouring farmers) and was good, easy company - I was recovering from an injury and he went out of his way to do any heavy lifting for me. We would highly recommend Reuben to other hosts!

Filippo was full of energy and positivity and really spent a lot of time getting to know the kids and brightening everyone's day. From the moment he arrived he was already helping us set up our gym - nothing was too much to ask. He spent time teaching the kids parkour and perfecting their technique to helping us set up our world championship event. Thanks for everything - will really miss you.- Strong people are kind

If you get the opportunity to volunteer here, DO IT! I had the most incredible summer at the campground. John, Tess, and Sarah were so welcoming and supportive, and shared many amazing experiences with us volunteers. Hiking the cheif, canoing on Lake Brohm, cold plunges in the Mamquam, the list goes on! The morning/afternoon work is fair and clearly explained, and a great split for folks who want to get out and climb or hike during the day. The check-in shifts especially are a lot of fun, I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with campers from all over the world. The staff accomodation was comfy with everything we needed, and living alongside the other volunteers was lots of fun. I've made some amazing friends through this experience. Thanks for having me!

Jule came to us for 10 days shortly after arriving NZ. She fitted in beautifully with our family. She was a very easy guest and very willing to participate in activities with us that mostly included weeding but also a bit of housework and dog walking. I’d highly recommend Jule.

Lili stayed with us for a couple of weeks and was a real pleasure to have around. She’s quirky, sensitive, and a lovely person to talk with. She helped with decluttering, tidying, and general home tasks, always with care. She hauled a truckload of wood for our woodshed and was all packed perfectly and done with expert skills :) . We had interesting conversations on all sorts of topics, and her love of cooking was a real bonus. We really appreciated her help and her gentle, considerate nature.

Since she arrived, Lena has been an incredible person. Always willing to help with everything and with a very positive energy. 💫 She loved spending time with the children and supported us a lot in English classes, as well as in surfing and sandboarding activities. 🏄‍♀️🏜️ She has a great sense of humor, is responsible, punctual, and very organized. She also takes care to keep the house clean and tidy, something we really appreciate. 🧡 She is truly a volunteer we highly recommend. Thank you, Lena, for everything you brought to our project and for your wonderful attitude! 🙌🌱

Ewen and Leslie were wonderful hosts and made sure our last few weeks in Australia were memorable and fun. We loved having another couple of workawayers there to get some big jobs done and it made working in the queensland sun much more manageable. Ewen was always the first to get stuck in on any job and made sure we knew what we were doing before we set about any projects. we enjoyed the variety of our tasks and we have lots of new skills to take away with us from bushfire maintenance to interior painting. We had a lovely room with a bathroom that we only shared if there were other workawayers there. The house sits on top of a big hill with some amazing views of the coast and out to the islands. There is lots of bush land around the house full of wallabies and echidnas and the lagoon on the property is full of water dragons! There have dogs, goats, horses, a turkey and a cat for any animal lovers - though don't get too close to Diesel, he's a fiesty boy! Outside of work, we were invited along to spend time with Ewen and Leslie at some social gatherings and BBQs, we also went out on the boat for a day of sailing! Evenings were relaxed in the house - they cooked us some wonderful meals and some nights we played games after dinner but we were also given plenty space to ourselves. We will be forever grateful for Ewen and Leslie for opening their home to us for those couple of weeks. We would highly recommend staying with them! Thanks for everything! I spend a Month here and even if the job was some times physical I enjoyed sharing these moments with others volunteers! The place is very beautiful for hiking. And Carlos takes time to answer at all your question even when he is really busy! I recommand this places for all people's who love nature and are not afraid of physical work!

Betti is an angel !!. Intelligent funny .bloody hard worker great scrabble player.and her cooking is to die for. ! Yumm ! Betti will be a real asset to whomever she spends her time with on her travels .Safe journey Betti. .

I had a very diverse month at Sols beautiful finca. The finca has so much to give and to learn from. I miss moon the amazingly elegant cat very much. Sol is such a strong character and an interesting collocutor. The surrounding landscapes are truly increadible and very inspirational for the mind. The beach right below is a great place to look both inwards and outwards. Thank you!

It was a pleasure to have Stefan with us for 2 weeks. He managed to take care of every task I gave him, always smiling even if farm work could be hard. He was nice and funny company at home, I guess we could say that we are all friend now. He was autonomus for his free time and was always away visiting places (he is a really good birds watcher!). He was really interested by the farm, the country and our way of living.

I spent two weeks with this wonderful family. They welcomed me right away. Nevertheless, I had my own little house when I needed some time to myself. My tasks were to look after the children, Cooper and Brody. Otherwise, I worked with Tiff and Jason. They integrated me into their daily work routine, so I was able to learn a lot about farm work. They also took the time to answer all my questions. I will miss talking and laughing with the family. I had the best Workaway experience with you and already miss the family a lot!

Chantal is an interesting host, with amazing language skills. She takes care of her guests and likes do to some things in a perfect manner. Important is that the morning time for breakfast and her rules are respected. The area is very nice for fishing and hiking. In the nearby town Mequinenza you have some bars and shops. There is a canu club - tell me if can rent a canu there. Overall Chantal is a very concerned(wants the best for you), strong(boundaries), fair(picked me up from Barcelona with paying half the fuel) and kind(washed my clothes) person.

I loved my stay with Kamilė, Saulius, Namėjus and Andajus. They were so so supportive while I did the art residency and it was both lovely and inspiring working in their beautiful home. They really brought me into their family, going to yoga with Kamilė, eating grapes with Namėjus and Andajus and talking with Saulius about UFOs. We shared chats of our family history and enjoyed spending time together. I learnt so many new skills and made memories I will never forget, thank you. This was an amazing first workaway and I miss them very much.

We enjoyed hosting Garrett and would definitely welcome him back anytime..! He is always ready and willing to carry out the different tasks assigned to him. He sings while he works - he has performed in theater and musicals..! Our family love musical theatre..! He is an avid birder and was thrilled to discover the many species at the farm. In short, Garrett is a person with many varied interests, curious and always enthusiastic!! Hope to see you again.. this time stay longer..!!
