Eva has been an absolutely delightful and incredibly helpful workawayer! Her readiness to try new things and her consistently sweet, lovely, and good-humored attitude made her a joy to have around. Whether she was humming musical tunes or Christmas songs, her positive spirit was infectious. During her stay, Eva participated in a wide variety of tasks with enthusiasm. She was a fantastic help with garden work, harvesting, and pickling. Inside the house, she contributed by painting, and outside, she bravely helped tear down a building wall with a ram! Her care for the animals was exceptional, and she even helped creating hay boxes for the horses. She also did a great job clearing a path around the lake, among many other contributions. Eva is truly wonderful and adaptable, always approaching tasks with a great sense of humor and a can-do attitude. I highly recommend her to any host and I really hope to welcome you back one day dear Eva – Thank you so much for 5 wonderful weeks!

I had a great time with Ali during my 2 weeks in Puerto Rico. I did the cleaning during the mornings and finished my tasks in time for lunch then had the afternoons to explore. It was easy to communicate with Ali and she did a great job sharing information about a ton of free events going on in the area, several of which we went to together. The food was great and plentiful. The other volunteers and guests were easy to get along with. I had no issues and would gladly come back and would recommend to others!

Antonin! He is such a great family for us! He is so calm, grounded, always open-minded, ready to listen to others and chat with, flexible, understandable, and curious about our culture and life here. So we are happy to see that he enjoyed and immerse himself into the life here as he discribed in his feedback. He got here in planting season. So, he helped us whole of the beginning stages of growing organic rice such as gerrmination, land preparation, planting and weeding. In addition, we had a class about SRI methodology together, so he learnt the whole process/stages of growing organic rice. As he has a future goal to have his farm and previously had farm experiences in other places, we had great conversations and shared what we learnt and experienced in farming with each other. Other than helping us in the fields, he helped Captain to repair the bamboo bungalows. From taking the bamboo from the jungle, split them, clean them and exchanged the bamboo wall with the new one. Also, he helped cleaning the farm area before having the events on the farm, and made such a great interview video with other volunteers. He clearly expressed what he likes about here, what makes this farm unique, and gave some messages to the future volunteers/people who are interested to come. The interview videos that he and other volunteers created have really helped not only us but also the people to understand and become more interested to join us! One month might seem a kind of long in general, but that one month with Antonin was just a second. Time passed really quickly, more quick that usual.. We miss him! So we just hope you as workaway hosts can welcome him and have a great time with him! We are sure you will have such great time and meaningful conversation with him like we had with. 😊 Thank you so much for your help and for your being! Guilherme is a very friendly, open person He was dedicated to the project and helped also very well in the house. He is open to learn new skills and want to to the job very well He is a good cook Guilherme had a good connection with all members of the group and our children He is a young man that is open to talk about a lot off subjects He is a nice person to have in your community

Amely is a very friendly open person it was a nice time to have her in our family community She is helpful and always in a good mood In the project she was always ready to open her up for new skills even when the jobs were not always easy She had a good connection with the other workawayers When there was a problem she had the courage to come to me and explained what was going on She is a lovely person

We had a very nice stay in Olon! You sleep in your own cabin with a nice view. The work in the construction side was fun, we build some furniture. In our freetime we went surfing and strolling around with Damian who was the best host!! Welcoming and fun, all in all we we're living the pura vida and so happy weve been there :))

Kirill is a very possitive serious working WW-er, who goes for understanding and finishing his work into detail. You can leave him to the job and he will work motivated, informs himself if he wants te be sure by checking instructionfilms if it new for him and goes for it with dedication. He wants to finish with a goed result. He enjoys working with his hands and solving a puzzle. It is a joy to see him work like that. He also enjoys to work in his own bubble quietly or sometimes with his music (beautiful classical music). He made several outside electrical connectionpoints in / around a gardenhouse, connected the lamps, knew obviously how to do it/professional, made a roofconstruction (very well!) and installed glasspanels in windowframes. He also worked with an axe to split wood and reorganised the woodshed. He knows how to handle electrical tools and is used to work with professionals in welding and electricity. Kiriil is honest, interested and pleasant to be with. He deserves a welcoming place that offers him possitivity and trust after a long time of living as a nomad trying to find a place where he can relax without judgement. He's a good man that longs for learning to speak good english and being between a community with peoples that work together in a respectfull feeding way. Kirill is a modest, conscious, well behaved man who enjoyes to be part of conversations and also enjoyes the quiet moments. He really enjoyed being/playing with my German Shepherds and knows how to make contact with the dogs. His eyes sparkled after running with one of them. I highly recommend Kirill!

Matthew is a very friendly and helpful young man It was nice to get his help in our project and also in cooking family meal With a bit off assistance now and then he is good in cooking for a bigger group We enjoyed a lot the piano sessions in the house Matthew fit in very well in the group off Workawayers and with our children I recommend him for other communities, he is really a good help We had nice conversations and Matthew is open about a lot off opinions

Where to even start, I have done multiple workaways before coming here and at first I was put off by the fact that they require a payment - but this stay was worth every ringgit. I ended up staying on the farm for three months and I am still in touch with people from there more than a year later (I am leaving this review very late because my workaway account expired by the time I left the farm, and I only renewed it now). I spent many hours in the rice fields with Jai, Jun and Jaei, learning about all steps in organic rice production. Many hours in the kitchen with Kakak, just chatting away while cooking delicious meals. Helped Chikako take care of her wonderful veggie garden and finding out so much about her life in Japan and as an expat in Malaysia. And, of course, talking with Kapten who has led such an interesting life and loves to share his adventures - and he even took the time every day to give me a Malay lesson. Overall, every member of the farm was so kind and generous with me and I genuinely miss them and hope to return there one day!

Dear Summer, It was truly wonderful to have you here. We got along so well from the beginning and I appreciated your presence every single day. You are a great worker, with a natural rhythm and care in everything you do, and it is clear that you come from a world that already knows the land and the countryside. You took on every task with precision and attention, and I am very grateful for that. I was also touched by your willingness to join me at the markets and by how naturally you connected with Oceano. You were truly precious to us. On a personal level, I really enjoyed the conversations we shared, and just as much the quiet moments. I appreciated so much your ability to be in silence without discomfort. That is rare, and it made our time together feel very natural and peaceful. I was sad when you left, and I sincerely hope to see you again. I will keep you updated on how the garden is going and I will send you pictures of the little plant babies you helped plant, the ones you checked every day to see if they had sprouted. Brigit was an absolutely outstanding volunteer — one of those rare people who instantly understands what needs to be done and takes initiative to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently. She’s incredibly dedicated to making sure guests have the best possible experience, always friendly, professional, and thoughtful in everything she does. She consistently went the extra mile to help us and her fellow volunteers, showing true team spirit and a fantastic work ethic. Skilled, knowledgeable, and quick to learn new things, she handled every aspect of hostel life with confidence — from running the kitchen and serving guests to barista and bartending work, guest check-ins and check-outs, and keeping common areas clean and organized. Beyond her work, Brigit is simply a wonderful person whose company everyone enjoyed. She brightened people’s days and brought so much positivity to our team. We were genuinely sad to see her go. Pia and Klara stayed with us for two weeks in September 2025 and it was such a wonderful experience for us. Both girls are very openminded, communicative, eager to participate, and show good values and morals. They were easy to be around and we shared some very pleasant and honest conversations with them. At the same time the girls were hard workers who did not shy away from any of the tasks we presented to them. Plus they like baking cakes and share them :-) We'd be happy to welcome them back again any time and give them our warmest recommendations.

Such a wonderful place. Every morning, I saw great view of a beautiful lake. I felt myself purified by the fresh morning air. I got an opportunity to try canoeing. We went through the lake and went into the river. There was so quiet, calm and peaceful. I also enjoyed finish sauna and cold lake dipping. It was just fantastic. Janne and Paulina put love in every detail, food, furniture, and the whole house. Paulina's knäckebröd is the best one I've ever haven. I shared a lot of time with their fluffy boy. He is so kind and friendly. I'm already missing my little friend. I hope that I will be back to Janne and Paulina in the future. Thank you very much.

I had such a brilliant time staying in Mani and helping to harvest olives with Claire & Alexandros. The accommodation we stayed in was in a great location with beautiful sunset views and had everything we needed, and Alexandros & Claire couldn't have done more to be welcoming and lovely hosts. We discovered true village life, much local history and an understanding of olives and the harvesting process that will stay with me forever. I thank them both for an amazing experience.

This was my first Workaway experience and I loved it. I mainly taught English in Alison's school, but also did a few things around the grounds. Alison taught me how to drive the 4x4 up and down those hills, and since I love driving, it was a nice thing to learn :) I can't think of a moment in my 2 months stay there, that I didn't like. To this day, I still think of La Palma and her place in particular, as one of my happy places. It is such a beautiful island, with beautiful people. I can't thank Alison enough for teaching me everything she did and for making me feel a part of her family. Hope to see you soon! Hugs
