What a fantastic 3 month time we had with Lisa staying at our farm. Being a horse woman through and through she took over taking care for our horses from day one, not much explanation needed. She has been 100% reliable and gave them the same love we do. She has been so open to pick up new training methods and to exchange knowledge for the wellbeing of our four legged friends There is also not been one job around the house she would not have done. Working with her is easy and so much fun. And gosh, we miss her homebaked bread. And the gaming evenings filled with laughter and great conversation. And Maroto the dog misses her and the beloved belly scratches. Not talking about her favourite horse Florian ;) We miss her and just hope she is back soon.

Mana staed with me almost a month. She has a very calm and easy going personalty. She is always ready to help what ever needs to be done. Only thing she needs little more practice in English. But I will hardly recommend her any host. I am sure will give her best what ever project you have. My best wishes for her journey in workaway. Good luck Mana hope to see you.

It was my First workaway experience and I found a really amazing environment to enrich myself and reconnect to nature. The finca is in an amazing spot in the North of the Island, surrounded by awesome nature and landscapes. If you love hiking it’s the perfect place for you because many different tracks start near the finca. I really suggest to download komoot to see all the tracks and explore in security. There aren’t a lot of busses but enough to arrive to Las Palmas or to nearby cities. If busses take too long to bring you where you want, you always can try to walk to your destination :) few nice traditional villages near Moya and the finca seemed difficult to reach by public transport but I reached them thanks to amazing hikings. Just don’t give up and explore, the nature will always surprise you there! Alessandro and his family are the best host I could have asked for. They are really kind, funny, open to share their knowledge and to learn from you. They’re also very attentive to your needs and always grateful. I’ve been there for almost six weeks and I’ve mainly taken care of lemon and orange trees, always with Choco’s companion, the most amazing and sweet dog I’ve ever met. I’m super excited about the experience I had and I’ll be always grateful. I wish the best of luck to Giovi, Alessandro and the boys; I hope to meet you all as soon as possible!

First of all, thank you JP and Kelly for the time on your farm, I really enjoyed it! :) They welcomed me from the beginning - JP even picked me up from the airport with the car. The work was fair and not too hard - feeding the animals in the morning, letting them out, cleaning the paddocks and the chicken coop, filling hay bags and cleaning the horses/ponies. I was also able to do some ground work with them and even riding once. I had the cottage all to myself, so I had lots of space. It was well equipped, they even gave me a heater since it got quite cold in the evening. One of the greatest things was that Kelly took me with her friends to some places, for example to a really nice and big market close to the farm - truly wonderful! Now coming to the things that I think could be handled in a better way: first of all, the profile seems not very accurate. There are no workshops or social media tasks anymore. Now it's "only" the farm which is fine but should be stated clearly. Secondly, the cottage could have been cleaner (mind, it was not super dirty but could have been better; e.g. some plates in the cupboard were still dirty or there was hair in the sink when I arrived). Also, sometimes the communication from Kelly was not the best - sometimes she didn't really specify tasks and I had to ask again (which then was never a problem, she is very kind!). All in all, I would recommend this place - but you have to be able to spend lots of time on your own. The cottage is quite far from the main house, meaning apart from the tasks which you mainly do with them, you'll spend lots of time alone. There is the possibility to go on day trips (e.g. to Palma or Soller) by bus, JP and Kelly were always happy to drive me to the bus stop since the farm is quite remote. Thank you guys!

It is as advertised. “Off grid living near the coast on the stunning island of Hvar” - could not be a more accurate description of what we found here. Approximately 5 kms from Stari Grad, down dirt roads, through the ancient Greek agricultural lands, you will arrive at a place that feels like your own private oasis. Here, you’ll find a quiet space, well equipped outdoor kitchen, a solar shower. Not a neighbour in sight. There’s a gorgeous bay within a short walk for swimming. You will be awe struck by the stars on a clear night and the void will fill your ears. If you are in the position to rent a scooter, do it! We did just that, which allowed us to explore all over the island, after work and on our days off. Visiting places such as Vrboška, Grad Hvar, going to beaches through the old tunnel (old tunnel - a wild experience in itself) to the south side of Hvar, and fishing from the shore in beautiful bays with no one around. Exploring the narrow winding roads through old stone villages was unforgettable. The work we did was rewarding. We were left to work independently on a list of things given to us by the hosts. Their requests were reasonable and such that we could execute them without much input. Knowing that we put energy, thought and effort into the work we did, that we were part of the community around us and tried to live as locals do, brought us a lot of satisfaction. Chris and Amanda are extremely welcoming. They are easy to get along with and great communicators. We had the pleasure to sit and have coffee with them even though they had a very busy schedule. They are down to earth people who share our values and outlook on life. We recommend this Workaway to anybody who is willing to work independently in a remote spot. Things to be aware of: no running water, solar power, sawdust toilet, small friendly critters helping themselves to your ripe avocado, geckos in the walls above your bed and similar things. All things that we loved and made our travels more interesting. We cannot say enough about this experience that these two wonderful people allowed us to have. We are richer after living on Amanda and Chris’s property. We are so thankful to them. Perhaps one day our paths will cross again.

I spent 3 weeks with Liz, and the time really flew by. From gardening, to dog walking, cooking, and cleaning, I was assigned varied tasks that kept me busy and always learning something new. Liz taught me a lot about gardening, and I have passed on her very useful tips to my Dad who is also very passionate about his own vegetable garden! During the week, we would set off to Liz's country house which offered much-needed tranquillity surrounded by a beautiful haven of nature. The majority of tasks that Liz assigned to me were carried out here. I will never forget the bond I developed with Liz's sweetheart of a dog, Goose. A gentle husky-mix that I warmed to from the minute I set foot through Liz's front door. I highly recommend staying with Liz- she is a kind and thoughtful lady.

Volunteering at the campsite under Claudia and Minne was truly an unforgettable and wonderful experience for me. I originally planned to stay for three weeks from mid-June, but I ended up staying for more than two months in total. Every day I took care of the children—it was sometimes challenging, but it was also full of valuable learning. I learned so much not only from the counselors from different countries but also from the children who came from all over the world. The kids were my little teachers, and when it came to English, they were definitely my head teachers.haha! The people I met in the shared house became dear friends. After finishing the volunteer task, we visited museums together, enjoyed the nights in Amsterdam, and shared so many unforgettable moments. It takes time around 25min with bike to the central. It was good time to know feel the atmosphere in Amsterdam. I’m truly grateful that my very first Workaway experience was here!! If you are someone who wants to create and connect with nature (drawing, art, DIY,, for me It was the origami), I can highly recommend this place. The children will be drawn to your activities, become your biggest fans, and you’ll have so much fun together and plus get a big power from them;)) Thank you so much, Claudia and Minne 1,2,3 --- Hosh hosh hosh!!

We would like to sincerely thank Martina for all her efforts as a volunteer in our project over the past three weeks. Her flexibility, smile, motivation, and confident willingness to learn have truly impressed us. We highly encourage anyone to welcome Martina, as it is genuinely a pleasure to experience such positive energy. A big thank you again, and you will always be welcome here with us in El Paso. We hope to see you again soon on the island. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and keep inspiring those around you! Val & Eddy

It has been an absolute joy getting to know Mike. As a solo traveler, I felt immediately at ease here, and I’m incredibly grateful to have spent these past few weeks tucked away in the forest, enjoying the grapes and apples growing around the house, painting clouds on the ceiling, listening for the right Thunk! sound as the bucket drops into the well, making pierogi en masse, and more! The work itself felt reasonable; challenging, but what a lovely sense of accomplishment by the time you’re all tucked up in bed! We had a large group, so we spent the first week or so digging holes for footings and pouring concrete. When the time came for a few from our group to move on, Mike adjusted accordingly, and the rest of us spent more time doing the littler tasks around the house. Mike appreciates hard work and initiative, as well as a good impromptu percussion circle (and if you can coax him into playing his favorite wooden flute, it's a beautiful experience)…! All felt very balanced. Beds in the main house are comfortable, facilities are simple, and cooking involves getting creative with the electric oven and wood stove. The compost toilet is a bit of a walk from the main house, maybe 5 minutes away, but it's well-constructed and private. No shower or bathtub, but we set up a nice washroom in the greenhouse, which keeps the warmth in, even in the autumn. If you are willing to slow down a bit, this is a lovely place to do it. Thank you, Mike, I hope to see you again soon!!!

Eimer and Laoise were amazing hosts; both so kind, generous and with great senses of humour! Eimer was so reasonable and great with communication and always made me feel welcome. The work was mainly in the garden which I really enjoyed. Eimer was very generous in offering lifts to amazing hikes in the Wicklow area and to trad music sessions aswell, additionally inviting me to participate in yoga and sound bath events as well. I loved chatting about Irish culture, politics and music. I loved spending time also with Fiadh and Nonene - such beautiful animal companions. This workaway was a perfect combination of downtime to read and walk with opportunity to cycle to town or travel elsewhere also.

We stayed 2 weeks with Julie and Glynn and their animals. We had a great time there, the two are very hospitable and a loving couple. The work there was fun and we could really learn a lot from them. Our accommodation there was great located and we had enough space for us, during our stay we were always well fed with everything. Also on the weekend we had a nice time, we went together to the beach or to the weekend market and in the evening we cooked together. Especially for animal lovers we can recommend this workaway. Thank you for everything!

The hospitality on the farm is incredible; from the very first moment, they make you feel right at home. The work is very varied and enjoyable, never heavy. The only routine tasks are feeding the animals in the morning and evening, which is actually a lot of fun. After that, there are always other activities to help with and learn from, making each day different and rewarding. The place is truly beautiful. Riding a bike is a real pleasure, especially the path to Brugge, which is stunning. I wholeheartedly recommend this volunteer experience; it’s enriching both personally and socially. Janne is an excellent Spanish speaker, which makes communication very easy and warm. She and Maxime are respectful, kind, and genuinely caring about your well-being. They always ask how you’re doing, if you need help with anything, and find ways to make sure you feel comfortable. They include you in all the farm activities, making you feel like part of the family from day one. I also had the luck to meet some wonderful fellow volunteers, which made the experience even more enriching and fun. Their children are delightful and full of energy—don’t miss the chance to play with them whenever you can. The joy and warmth on the farm make every moment special and memorable. At first, I thought I would stay only three weeks, but I ended up staying two months! That really says how much I enjoyed and felt at home there. I leave feeling truly grateful, with my heart full of beautiful memories and friendships. Thank you to the whole family for opening your home to me and sharing this amazing experience.

Francesco is an incredible host! He is very kind, open, and generous. I had an amazing experience harvesting olives, cleaning the garden, and helping the community. I enjoyed learning about Sicily from Francesco. He has great knowledge of many subjects; I had a wonderful time exchanging information and language. His land is beautiful, and his house is lovely. The pomegranates and olive oil we harvested were the most delicious, and so was all the food Francesco shared. I had an amazing time and hope we will be lifelong friends!!

What an amazing experience! It changed me, both physically and mentally. You need three days, after which you get into the flow of the palace. You can do anything: as long as you have the will and motivation, your immagination is your only limit. I arrived that was a city guy, and now I got used to using the pickaxe, building with clay, using my hands in any possibile way. I have learned more than I thought and I am very greatful for that. You will be taught everything, no need for previous experience. Shon is a very energetic guy and always brings good mood. He is very open, reasonable and really cares about the volunteers. He always asks how are things going, if you're happy or if there are some issues. I recomend this to whoever feel the need to disconnect (not having signal is a blessing) and wants to work with his/her own hands. Good luck and enjoy!

Salut!

I stayed with Tugsuu for 5 days. She is friendly, her daughter helped me to purchased bus ticket back to Ulaanbaatar and showed me around Murun. If you want to experience a real local Mongolian lifestyle, this would be the one. She taught me how to make Buuz (dumplings), and noodles from scratch. This is a really meaning trip to me.

I had the best time with Bee and Soy at their community. They are super friendly and willing to show you around. I get to learn about the real nomadic lifestyle. Learning about licking bowl after eating, trying dairy products. Bee is super friendly to explain about the bone knuckle games, and I also get to milk the cow with him. My trip to Mongolia wouldn't be meaning without them. If you are looking to experience the real nomadic life, this is the one.

I'm not exaggerating when I'm saying Lena was the best workawayer we ever had and we had many good ones. She's just such a nice girl - kind, cheerful, easy to be around with, always ready to help whenever and wherever needed. And most importantly: Levi absolutely loved her! It's the first time he actually preferred to spend time with someone else over us 😄 So a really really good experience, I hope she can come back one day and I can only recommend her, especially for families with young children
