It has been an absolute pleasure being Workawayers with Cristiana and Pippo. They are warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel at home from day one! In addition to Cristiana and Pippo, we’ve had the joy of sharing our daily life with their sweet cats, Leo and Nino, and their wonderful dogs, Babarbuc and Punch. We will miss all six of them dearly. The work tasks were fair, and the schedule was very flexible, which we truly appreciated. We felt that Cristiana and Pippo genuinely valued our skills and the way we took initiative—there was a strong sense of mutual respect and appreciation. It meant a lot to us to feel that our enthusiasm and self-motivation were recognized and welcomed. Søren has a great passion for film photography, and it touched us deeply that both our neighbor and Pippo began working on creating a darkroom to support and encourage his passion. That gesture truly reflects the kindness and thoughtfulness of the people we’ve been surrounded by during our stay. The apartment we stayed in was fantastic—bright, comfortable, and with a huge balcony. Giaveno is a beautiful and charming town that we really enjoyed living in, and the best coffee bar in town is just 20 meters from the front door! This has truly been a wonderful Workaway experience with Cristiana and Pippo, and we hope to visit them again someday! ❤️

If you’re interested in engaging with women from the local community through vocational training within the areas of work that the project offers - you’re in the right place. Accommodation is very nice and of high western standards. The area is safe to stay and the long term team, other volunteers and local staff are super kind. All my best recommendations for upcoming volunteers. If you really want to get the most out of this experience, intermediate Portuguese skills will be needed, at least to be able to conduct lessons or other tasks on your own.

Participating in this project has been one of the most gratifying and enriching experiences of my life. Leading the English sessions has taught me so much, both about teaching and about connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Although the project is still in its early stages, the strong support within the team and the enthusiastic engagement of the community make every effort worthwhile. I had the privilege of leading two groups: one comprised of very fluent English speakers with whom I ran a Speaking Club, and another group of beginners who progressed to nearly conversational levels. Both groups were highly motivated and actively engaged with the materials and activities, which made the teaching experience incredibly rewarding. San Luis itself is nothing short of paradise. It stands out as one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited, not just in Colombia, but anywhere in the world. If you are looking to improve your speaking and teaching skills while being surrounded by breathtaking mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and genuinely warm and welcoming people, this project offers an exceptional opportunity

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Fabian as a volunteer, and we couldn't be more grateful for his time, energy, and kindness. Fabian is incredibly responsible, communicative, and adaptable. He approached every task – whether it was helping with the animals, working in the garden, or supporting event organization – with dedication, respect, and a positive attitude. He fit perfectly into our team, bringing smiles, stories, and inspiration. The nature, animals, and our whole community loved him, and we truly hope he will return to us someday! We wholeheartedly recommend Fabian to any host looking for a volunteer with a golden heart and a genuine passion for helping.

She worked so hard and was so great to have around. She was full of energy and really cared about the quality of her work. She took initiative to do the dishes and take the dog out as well. She got along great and was a positive influence on my teenage daughter. I would definitely recommend her and am open to hosting her again.

Aava was a wonderful volunteer and a true asset to our team. She took her work seriously and was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Aava is easygoing, respectful, and maintained a clean and organized space. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic made her a pleasure to host. It has been a great honour to meet Christina. She is very hard working, friendly and open minded person.

We were really looking forward to helping out on the farm and we weren't disappointed. Steve enjoyed helping out with the more physical tasks whilst Fiona did a bit of planting and looking after the dogs. Francie and Christoph are the most generous, kind, helpful, knowledgeable and down to earth people you could wish to meet and their daughter is sweet, sassy and very competive - we loved playing card and board games with her. Christoph can build or fix absolutely anything and Francie is one of the most determined yet sweet people we've ever met. Together they make the perfect family and made us part of that family. They went out of their way to help us and taught us a lot about horses, baking, being self sufficient, reducing food waste etc. We will miss their way of life and the excellent meals they cooked every night. We would absolutely recommend Francie and Christoph. Wonderful hosts but more importantly, wonderful people. Put simply, we live in a self sufficient motorhome with our own income stream and we're travelling the world. We stopped by to see what farm life was about and maybe stay for a week and yet enjoyed it so much, we stayed for a month. If it wasn't for visas not allowing us, we would have stayed forever.

The best volunteering you can find! The hotel is great and the rooftop is just incredible! Juliette and Sergio are so nice, we had a lot of fun, and they offered us food from time to time, which was also really great. The work was really good, we worked on the construction of the new hostel opposite. And we really loved San Cristobal. In short, we recommend it 100%. :)

We had the wonderful opportunity to spend four weeks with Jeff and Liz, and it turned out to be an incredibly fulfilling work exchange. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us warmly, making us feel like part of their family. Their attentiveness to our needs created a comfortable atmosphere that enhanced our experience. Sharing meals together became a highlight of our stay, as we exchanged life stories and discussed various topics. Liz's culinary skills truly impressed us, especially her extensive spice collection, ingredients and knowledge of diverse cuisines. Meanwhile, Jeff showcased his expertise in gardening and machinery, working alongside us on tasks like mowing the lawn, weeding, and building a trellis for the tomato plants. We planted rows of potatoes, trimmed tree branches, removed brambles, and completed various indoor and outdoor painting jobs. His hands-on approach and array of tools made our work not only easier but also more enjoyable. On our days off, we were encouraged to explore the nearby towns, which we did by visiting Cognac by train, Angouleme by bus, and Barbezieux by bike, thanks to the bicycles they provided. The convenience of the bus stop and Jeff's kind offer to drive us to the train station made our adventures even more accessible. We are truly grateful to Jeff and Liz for their hospitality and for allowing us to be a part of their lives. We hope they continue to enjoy their beautiful home and garden as much as we cherished the time spent improving it together.

Miguel arrived as a quiet and discreet volunteer, gently finding his place within our community. It was a joy to witness him open up more each day, gradually embracing our way of living and connecting with those around him. As he began to share more of himself, we discovered a truly sweet and kind person who loves to connect and share with others. He proved to be an incredibly hard worker, consistently going above and beyond, both in the time he dedicated and the care he put into every task. Miguel often took initiative, doing far more than what was asked without ever seeking recognition. His presence brought a steady, humble, and warm energy, and we would be happy to welcome him back anytime.

We thank very much Lore first of all as parents, because seeing such a loving person with our daughter can only make us happy. Observing her overflowing happiness in being with her is at the same time ours. The quality of the time she dedicated her, the attention, the care, the teachings and everything else have also filled the atmosphere with joy and delicacy. As for the rest, it was not only the help she gave us that was precious, but having brought it with a collaborative, empathetic, playful and affectionate attitude. In addition, meeting people like her, who show that they find stimulation and inspiration from what we are doing, warms the heart and repays for the many energies spent. Looking even further, to what she told us about herself, opening her heart to us without fear, her lucidity in listening to and courageously going for what is best for her in life is a lesson that is always precious. Leaving, she leaves an emptiness, but also a fullness.

Staying at the ranch for three weeks was an incredible experience. We have to warn you, it is quite different from the other workaways we previously had, were there are set hours, and days off. You need to know this volunteering is very demanding in terms of hours. We were available from 8 in the morning, to drive to town and get some people, to 11 at night, to drive to town again and drop off the cook. In between there was always something to do, with a couple hours to relax, usually before dinner. Moments off are when there are no tourists, and it can be rare. That being said, let's talk about the good stuff. The work was easy, it's mostly setting and clearing the table, drying the dishes and translating, with a bit of driving. We met so many people and are still in contact with some of the guests that came, it's great to share these amazing moments with them. We got to ride horses everyday, get better at it (I hope) and feel more confident. The food is great, more than unlimited, as is the wine, it's a battle to say "no more" :) And to top it all, we felt like we were part of the family. Thank you Enrique, Fede, Pame and everyone for making us feel at home, for the talks and the laughs, and for the cheese ❤️ Last thing, when we were there last month, they couldn't access their workaway account, so don't hesitate to contact them directly from the ranch website

I stayed at Daniela's for over a week and truly enjoyed every day of my stay. She was incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel like a close friend, one that I hope to keep for life. Daniela provided clear and helpful instructions for taking care of the cats, who are absolutely adorable and very well-behaved. The house is beautifully surrounded by nature and offers stunning views of the mountains. I highly recommend this opportunity if you’re seeking peace, animal companionship, and still need reliable internet access. This opportunity provided a perfect balance of tranquility and connectivity!

No puedo decir nada más que ha sido la mejor experiencia italiana genuina que he tenido. Esta fue mi primera experiencia haciendo un Workaway y estoy agradecida con Vicenza por haberme dado un lugar en su familia. toda la experiencia ha sido increíble, me sentí en casa, comí delicioso, me llevó a conocer lugares bellísimos de la toscana italiana. Sin duda, este Workaway me ha dado una muy linda amistad, arrivedecci amiga mía!

Having Beatrice and Valeria at our organization was a truly heartwarming experience. From day one, they brought peace, love and positive energy. Humble, kind and compassionate, they made everyone feel valued. They bonded beautifully with the children, offering not just help but genuine friendship and care. Watching them interact ,listening, playing and laughing with the children,created lasting memories. In my home, they became like family. They embraced our culture and filled my days with warmth and joy. We were so happy to have them and they will be deeply missed. Our hearts and doors will always be open to them.

Cedric is everything he describes in his profile - positive, easy-going, happy, and energetic. He is also unfailingly good-humoured, hard-working, flexible, clean and tidy, and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was wonderful with the dogs and cats that he was looking after, who all loved him, and he was tireless in his efforts to make a positive difference in their lives. He is also very interesting, and we really enjoyed his company. We highly recommend him to prospective hosts. Thank you so much, Cedric, for all your help and support! We and the animals miss you and hope you may be able to return one day. ( PS. Cedric's English is very good, and the only reason we gave him 4 stars out of 5 in the communication box , is that as his first language is French, just occasionally perhaps things might get lost in translation with Caribbean English).

Lisa was a welcome surprise to host. She was invited to help assist with our horses and train our German Shepherd puppies (under our instruction). A confident and independent young woman, Lisa, helped, without being asked, to bring in our horses, groom them, and walk the dogs. The horses trusted her immediately, and we knew she was perfect for working with them. Our puppies are very large, and she managed them in a controlled and strong manner, ensuring that they were comfortable with her. Friendly, and helpful, she was great to have in the kitchen, and we had the impression that she was happy working with us or alone, as she took care of loads of laundry on her own. More than anything, she was reliable, and I knew I could ask her to do something with confidence, because she was that way. It was very quiet when she left, and we missed her joy and laughter. She is a lovely person whom I would recommend to anyone who would like to invite her to work with them. As we have said with many of our previous volunteers, she is always welcome to return!

This was the best volunteering experience I haver had. I spent 1 month with Seijun and his daughter Kioka and his cute little dog, also during the golden week all his family came back home for few days so it was super interesting and if you want to learn more about Japanese real culture I highly recommend to be host by him. Sensei Seijun is a veterinary and his hospital is just in front of his house and sometimes I went to play with his big and super friendly other dog in the garden near the hospital. He is also a very good chef and preparing always brekfast and dinner and mamy times cooking together was so fun. I really like the work that we did as it was on the mountain and surrounded by nature and we were going usually sunday and Monday and during the week just help in the house but I had so much free time to explore the surrounding and also near by town with his bicycle. If I could I would have gave him 6 stars.🌟
