We thank very much Lore first of all as parents, because seeing such a loving person with our daughter can only make us happy. Observing her overflowing happiness in being with her is at the same time ours. The quality of the time she dedicated her, the attention, the care, the teachings and everything else have also filled the atmosphere with joy and delicacy. As for the rest, it was not only the help she gave us that was precious, but having brought it with a collaborative, empathetic, playful and affectionate attitude. In addition, meeting people like her, who show that they find stimulation and inspiration from what we are doing, warms the heart and repays for the many energies spent. Looking even further, to what she told us about herself, opening her heart to us without fear, her lucidity in listening to and courageously going for what is best for her in life is a lesson that is always precious. Leaving, she leaves an emptiness, but also a fullness.

Staying at the ranch for three weeks was an incredible experience. We have to warn you, it is quite different from the other workaways we previously had, were there are set hours, and days off. You need to know this volunteering is very demanding in terms of hours. We were available from 8 in the morning, to drive to town and get some people, to 11 at night, to drive to town again and drop off the cook. In between there was always something to do, with a couple hours to relax, usually before dinner. Moments off are when there are no tourists, and it can be rare. That being said, let's talk about the good stuff. The work was easy, it's mostly setting and clearing the table, drying the dishes and translating, with a bit of driving. We met so many people and are still in contact with some of the guests that came, it's great to share these amazing moments with them. We got to ride horses everyday, get better at it (I hope) and feel more confident. The food is great, more than unlimited, as is the wine, it's a battle to say "no more" :) And to top it all, we felt like we were part of the family. Thank you Enrique, Fede, Pame and everyone for making us feel at home, for the talks and the laughs, and for the cheese ❤️ Last thing, when we were there last month, they couldn't access their workaway account, so don't hesitate to contact them directly from the ranch website

I stayed at Daniela's for over a week and truly enjoyed every day of my stay. She was incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel like a close friend, one that I hope to keep for life. Daniela provided clear and helpful instructions for taking care of the cats, who are absolutely adorable and very well-behaved. The house is beautifully surrounded by nature and offers stunning views of the mountains. I highly recommend this opportunity if you’re seeking peace, animal companionship, and still need reliable internet access. This opportunity provided a perfect balance of tranquility and connectivity!

Esta fue mi primera experiencia haciendo un Workaway y estoy agradecida con Vicenza por haberme dado un lugar en su familia. toda la experiencia ha sido increíble, me sentí en casa, comí delicioso, me llevó a conocer lugares bellísimos de la toscana italiana. Having Beatrice and Valeria at our organization was a truly heartwarming experience. From day one, they brought peace, love and positive energy. Humble, kind and compassionate, they made everyone feel valued. They bonded beautifully with the children, offering not just help but genuine friendship and care. Watching them interact ,listening, playing and laughing with the children,created lasting memories. In my home, they became like family. They embraced our culture and filled my days with warmth and joy. We were so happy to have them and they will be deeply missed. Our hearts and doors will always be open to them.

Cedric is everything he describes in his profile - positive, easy-going, happy, and energetic. He is also unfailingly good-humoured, hard-working, flexible, clean and tidy, and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was wonderful with the dogs and cats that he was looking after, who all loved him, and he was tireless in his efforts to make a positive difference in their lives. He is also very interesting, and we really enjoyed his company. We highly recommend him to prospective hosts. Thank you so much, Cedric, for all your help and support! We and the animals miss you and hope you may be able to return one day. ( PS. Cedric's English is very good, and the only reason we gave him 4 stars out of 5 in the communication box , is that as his first language is French, just occasionally perhaps things might get lost in translation with Caribbean English).

Lisa was a welcome surprise to host. She was invited to help assist with our horses and train our German Shepherd puppies (under our instruction). A confident and independent young woman, Lisa, helped, without being asked, to bring in our horses, groom them, and walk the dogs. The horses trusted her immediately, and we knew she was perfect for working with them. Our puppies are very large, and she managed them in a controlled and strong manner, ensuring that they were comfortable with her. Friendly, and helpful, she was great to have in the kitchen, and we had the impression that she was happy working with us or alone, as she took care of loads of laundry on her own. More than anything, she was reliable, and I knew I could ask her to do something with confidence, because she was that way. It was very quiet when she left, and we missed her joy and laughter. She is a lovely person whom I would recommend to anyone who would like to invite her to work with them. As we have said with many of our previous volunteers, she is always welcome to return!

This was the best volunteering experience I haver had. I spent 1 month with Seijun and his daughter Kioka and his cute little dog, also during the golden week all his family came back home for few days so it was super interesting and if you want to learn more about Japanese real culture I highly recommend to be host by him. Sensei Seijun is a veterinary and his hospital is just in front of his house and sometimes I went to play with his big and super friendly other dog in the garden near the hospital. He is also a very good chef and preparing always brekfast and dinner and mamy times cooking together was so fun. I really like the work that we did as it was on the mountain and surrounded by nature and we were going usually sunday and Monday and during the week just help in the house but I had so much free time to explore the surrounding and also near by town with his bicycle. If I could I would have gave him 6 stars.🌟

Em, as she likes to be called, is a lovely, and talented, young English architect/designer who came to help us develop a warm and hospitable environment for some of our rooms. Her work far exceeded my expectations, and I am deeply in her debt for the plans she created (and helped me develop) that align with our aesthetics (and budget) and the historical period of our home (19th century French Empire chateau). I feel like I could not thank her enough for her guidance with our interiors - she gave me a road map to follow and am very grateful to her for that! She is a talented cook and photographer, very easy to get along with, a wonderful conversationalist, an artist, and a very hard worker. Em helped put together breakfast every morning, and did more than her share of helping with kitchen duties. She has a quiet and elegant demeanor that is both attractive and compelling. Everyone loved her. No exception. We hope she will return for another visit - as a friend, collaborator, guest, or volunteer.

I had a great time together with Chris. We really embraced our weirdnesses together and I learned a lot. He has a nice and comfy house and an even nicer car;) I can only recommend him to anyone looking for an outline adventurous and knowledgeable host.

J’ai passé trois fantastiques semaines chez Hélène et Michel! Leur accueil a été chaleureux, j’étais bien logée, la nourriture était toujours délicieuse. Les consignes d’Hélène à chaque matin était toujours claires, nous savions quoi faire, et nous avions de la liberté dans l’exécution de ces tâches. Le travail était assez physique, mais pas difficile. Hélène est la personne la plus patiente que je connaisse! Elle est capable de cuisiner pour 40 personnes tout en répondant aux multiples questions de tout le monde, avec le sourire! J’ai appris beaucoup sur le jardinage avec elle! Michel est toujours présent pour aider, pour répondre aux questions, et surtout, pour partager avec nous ses connaissances cinématographiques, artistiques et musicales. J’ai adoré les discussions après les repas, autour du Yannoh:) Enfin, ces trois semaines ont culminées avec le festival, moment de grâce où les rencontres humaines nous portent et nous nourrissent. Merci pour cet accueil Hélène et Michel! Merci pour vos sourires, pour votre énergie sans fond, pour votre vision artistique. J’espère vous revoir!

I stayed with Miri and Forest for one week in spring. Their house is nestled at the top of a hill, with views of the valley and mountains, and backed up by a wonderful forest. Their young daughter, Ronja, is the cutest child. She is so clever and confident and so independent. I really enjoyed playing with her (as much as our language barrier allowed!), and she made me laugh a lot! I admire the thoughtfulness and care that Miri and Forest have poured into her upbringing. I feel inspired by their attitude to life! I enjoyed getting to know Miri. She has had so many interesting experiences and has a very singular outlook on life - it encouraged me to trust my own instincts more. It was great to listen to Forest's opinions on things, and also watch, as he actually lives out his philosophies. It is very rare to see someone believe in something and then actually act as they speak! Overall, you should definitely stop by and spend some time with this lovely family! Thank you Miri, Forest and Ronja (and Laila and Tara) for welcoming me so warmly into your home! I felt at home and left very inspired!

I had an amazing time at Petra and Jan's place in Sweden. Looking back, it was a wonderful time, full of beautiful silence, surrounded by the most intricate forest. I especially enjoyed sitting with both of them, sipping tea and watching the birds flit back and forth from the tree tops to the bird house. I felt really at home, and loved living in the little stuga - that is truly an experience I have never had before. I savoured making the fire for myself each evening, once I got the hang of the stove! Jan and Petra have built a unique kind of life, and it was really amazing to see how they support and trust each other as a couple - they were able to take such a huge leap towards the good life because they have each other's backs. Petra is a very wise woman - from her I have learned that if you put your mind to it, you can really learn to do anything. The bread and preserves she makes are delicious, and her connection with nature is deeply rooted. Thank you for our lovely chats, Petra. Jan knows about pretty much everything, so open your ears. On the jobs I worked with him, I felt guided with patience and trust, and I feel I have left with some good skills under my belt. Thank you for your guidance, Jan. I loved discovering the area with them when we went on long walks through the woods. It was awesome to watch how nature opened up, as they would pause and explain how to read different quirks of the land, such as animal footprints, wise man's beard and how ants defend themselves. Jan and Petra, I thank you from deep in my heart. My stay with you was a true gift and I am so happy that our paths have crossed!

On a moment that I was so overwhelmed by all the work that I couldn’t think straight anymore, Adriana and Nil came as lifesavers. Even though they only stayed a week, they left me feeling so much lighter for all the tasks they had taken out of my hands. Having them in the house felt natural, we had nice chats, doggywalks and movienights. Both of them are easy-going and independent, and up for basically anything you’ll ask. Nil is eager to truely understand how everything works and picks up very easily on new tasks. I trusted him completely with my machines, which he clearly enjoyed working with :-) Adriana is very good in social media managing, which she helped me a great deal in, I really hope she can make this her way to make money whilst traveling. Thanks for all, I’m very happy to read you felt at home, and wish you guys all the best travels!

I've had a lovely time with Alan and Sarah. I've had some workaway experiences before this but I have never had this much luxury before, with a whole casita for myself and a lot of time to rest. The food was delicious and I m gonna miss all the animals and the peace and quiet. It was my first time working with donkeys and I m very thankful to have learned how to take care of them. Even though it was a very short stay I m very thankful for everything they've done for me!

Nicole é inteligente e muito prática.Ela nos ajudou muito na agrofloresta onde tem grande interesse.Mas mesmo em trabalhos mais entediantes ela executou com alegria. Ela fala vários idiomas o que permitiu uma comunicação muito fácil e além disso tem uma conversa boa e divertida.Adoramos ter a Nicole conosco e ficaremos felizes em receber lá novamente.

I spent 10 wonderful days with this lovely family. I had a fantastic time and felt welcomed from the very beginning. The location is simply breathtaking, surrounded by nature and far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. My tasks included feeding the chickens (I loved them) and ducks and performing various gardening duties such as mowing the lawn and planting flowers. The volunteer's house is really nice, two rooms and a fully equipped kitchen that allowed me to prepare my own meals - using the herbs from the garden. I learned a lot about Malaysian plants that I didn't know thanks to Ella and Ka Munirah’ s fantastic explanations. I felt right at home :) and I truly hope to return one day! Thank you so much and a big hug to everyone! ❤️

It was such a pleasure to host Niels at our women's centre! He came prepared and ready to get immediately into the work as his time here was around 10 days and he wanted to make the most of it, it was such a blessing to us. His flexibility, excellent character and good humour brought a lot of joy to our team and to the women in our programs! Niels has a generous heart, and a sincerity to serve and help where needed. Such an easy guy to have around, we greatly miss him already and hope that one day he will come back! We couldn't recommend him enough.

Staying at Jasmina’s was a wonderful experience that I would definitely recommend. The property is beautiful and serene and the room was very nice and comfortable. I helped feed the animals twice a day, helped around the house, and with a number of other projects. I really enjoyed how every day had something new whether it was mushroom hunting, weeding, or making a pool in the creek. The days are structured around feeding the animals and then helping out with whatever needs attending to depending on the weather. Jasmina’s cooking is amazing as well as Nichola’s humor. I stayed with one other Workawayer which I appreciated as the area is quite remote. But it was very cool to get a taste for small village life and meet some of the neighbors. We often worked alongside Jasmina who is such a positive person and hard worker she made even the heaviest wheelbarrows and buckets feel lighter. She has lots of knowledge to share and I am excited to take some cooking tips into my own life. All the best to you and Nichola! I look forward to lots of photos and videos when Bianca has puppies :)

Staying with Petra was a deeply enriching experience. I came to help around the time of a foal’s birth, mainly assisting with camera monitoring, being present on-site, and lending a hand in the stable. From the very beginning, Petra welcomed me with warmth and kindness, taking the time to introduce me thoroughly to everything and making me feel right at home. I had my own beautiful room with a private bathroom and even a workspace – a perfect balance of comfort and privacy. Petra was always incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and was feeling well throughout my stay. Communication with Petra was always pleasantly open, clear, and respectful. She encouraged questions and valued my input, and we shared many interesting and meaningful conversations. One of the highlights was celebrating Easter with her family and friends – I felt truly included and part of the community. I’m especially grateful for the chance to experience Swedish traditions like Easter, the “Konstrunda” art tour, and Walpurgis. Petra generously shared her culture and way of life, while also giving me plenty of freedom to explore the area – from beach walks to hikes and city trips. The horses were another highlight – beautifully cared for and clearly loved. “Hästarna först” 😍 is more than just a saying; it’s a way of life, and it was an honor to be part of it. Although the foal was born a few days after I left, I had a wonderful time. I spoke and learned a lot of Swedish (thank you for your patience!), and I’m leaving with warm memories. A special thank you to Paul, also to Petra’s mom and to Åsa – it was a joy to meet you. Tack så mycket, Petra. I highly recommend this Workaway experience.
