Nuestra estadía en Orolandia fue espectacular. Llena de aprendizaje y momentos hermosos compartidos. Estefano y cristina son dos personas maravillosas dispuestas a compartir su cultura y su buena vibra, Nos encantó sentimos parte de la familia. Es un lugar hermoso en el campo con mucha paz Y a su vez muy cerca de roma. Agradecemos enormemente a los dos por esta experiencia tan hermosa. Sin dudas un lugar muy recomendable y hermoso. Aprendimos mucho de gastronomía italiana, de jardinería y a cosechar la comida del huerto, sin dudas stefano y cristina son muy buenos cocineros. El apartamento donde nos quedamos era muy cómodo y no le faltaba nada. Cuando estábamos todos juntos trabajábamos en equipo y fue un equipo muy agradable, ya que otganizabamos en conjunto el mejor horario para trabajar entonces no se hace pesado por mas que haga calor. Aprendimos bastante sobre Tambien nos prestaron dos bicis para que podamos recorrer los alrededores qué son muy lindos. Definitivamente nos encantaría regresar algún día.

myself and my 16 year old daughter spent a week with Talley / her family in Konigsau. We feel very lucky to have them as our first Workaway hosts. We really enjoyed learning from Talley with regard to food waste and food preservation and hearing alot of very interesting stories. We also enjoyed hearing from Talley's parents about their family history (including their Irish roots) and insight into Germanys history. The village of Konigsau is very pretty peaceful place, with a beautiful river and forests all around around it . We also spent a day travelling between two nearby towns and another day exploring the city of Wiesbaden and Mainz ( Talleys father kindly gave us a lift and we used public transport to get around and get back from local town ). There are plenty of interesting places to visit, we saw The gutenberg museum, beautiful churches , the old train in Neroberg and enjoyed exploring the lovely squares and streets, and finished our day in the city with another lovely meal in Talleys apartment. Talley is a wonderful host, so inspiring and full of passion and energy, and we came away with new insight with regards to food waste. We enjoyed helping in the garden and preparing vegetables and my daughter did some sewing . Our first work away was a very positive experience thanks to Talley and her family, and we hope to see them again.

Je viens de passer une semaine très agréable chez Caroline. Accueil tres sympa, logement dans un appartement confortable en bas de la maison, bons repas à base de produits du jardin ou bio. Sa fille de 3 ans, Elona, est adorable et très éveillée, pétillante ! Mes missions ont été d'aider Caroline à monter un abri de jardin, le lasurer, désherber les fraisiers. En dehors des heures de travail, possibilité de se balader sur les sentiers de randonnée de la Castagniccia (superbes couleurs en ce moment) pour aller par exemple voir un hameau martyre abandonné. Bref, je recommande !

Having Hannah with us felt truly special. She brought a warm, positive energy to the farm and quickly became part of our everyday life. Her help was reliable and thoughtful, and many moments were made brighter by the easy, friendly conversations we shared. She enriched our weeks in such a natural way, and it felt more like having a friend around than a volunteer. Any future host will be lucky to have her. Malu was a pleasure to have on the farm and truly enriched our weeks here. She brought an easygoing attitude, offered accurate and reliable help, and we enjoyed many thoughtful conversations with her. We were very pleased to have Jennifer at home, her joy and good vibes resonated lovingly with us and our furry kids. Jenny had an enthusiastic disposition to attend to any task, such as cooking for us her marvelous meals full of flavours and love made our days; Freddy's untamed energy got channeled through his daily trips with her; our loving cats followed her throughout the corners of the house. We loved sharing this time with Jennifer, her presence was felt and is missed, her company and help through assigned tasks were very valuable. We felt such a big and lucky family with her among us and wish for her to come back visiting us anytime!

Peter and Ann are very sweet and welcoming people with a good sense of humor :). I stayed with them for nearly 2 weeks to help with the olive picking and it was such an enjoyable experience! We picked olives at several farms and the views were quite astonishing. It almost felt like a dream picking olives with the sun out and a beautiful view over the sea. At dinner we always had something interesting to talk about varying from the differences between our languages (Belgian and Dutch) to all the different birds you can spot in the area. Peter actually took some time off to take me birdwatching in the Delta which is an experience I will never forget! There was never a bore moment when Ann and I were picking olives together. We had very interesting conversations and occasionally listened to the Belgian radio. Unfortunately I couldn't stay longer but if I could, I would've. Lavina was a fantastic traveller to work with! Not only was she enthusiastic and excited to learn new things, she was able to work independently. She asked questions as needed and takes feedback and instruction well. The 2+ weeks she stayed with me flew by in a flash. Lavina is comfortable cooking and baking. She's willing to try new recipes and make some of her favourites for you. She is more than welcome to return and stay with us again.

Matilda stayed with us for two weeks and was a great help with both the children and the animals. She carried out all her tasks responsibly and with care. We truly appreciated having her with us and are grateful for her support. We would gladly welcome her back anytime!

had a great time at this workaway! spent 2 months in total - very flexible with travelling the country. I was able to travel to major cities in my off days. great volunteers and good location. i also got the opportunity to go to the farm which was really cool! will hopefully be back!

My experience was nothing short of wonderful. María was a wonderful host, and maintained communication with me through my whole stay. I stayed for a month and had my own beautiful room, access to the shared kitchen, and countless moments of peace and serenity. It was such a special place, and I was lucky to have the opportunity to teach yoga to the guests, create social media content, and help keep the kitchen clean. The other employees there, Roxana and Juvenile, were also so kind and they all invited me to join them for breakfast whenever I wanted to. María was so kind, and offered me great feedback on the content I created while there. I would recommend this work away to others looking for a peaceful, beautiful experience in the adorable town of Urubamba.

Francesca and Matteo have warmly welcomed is from the beginning. Almost everyday Francesca did prepare a delicious homemade meal which they shared with us. They have done everything to make us feel home in their cozy house. We went together to the beach, have visited a small farmers market in a village nearby where we also had superb coffee in a rustic bar. On a beautiful sunday afternoon they had some friends come over and we had a great lunch together, including some indonesian food prepared by Dwi. In their olive yard we did help with pruning the trees, taking the cut off branches up to next to the house where we put them in the wood chipper to produce some mulch for the garden. We have had seriously good conversations too and when we they gave us wonderful tips for our day trip to Genova. Our children and their son Pietro were also having a great time, some evenings we even played board games together. In not even 1 week we have had sich an intense time with them and made plenty of unforgettable memories.

Amy and Louis are literally my American parents 👨‍👩‍👦 I stayed at their lovely home for a week before moving into my dorm. They gave me a cozy room and basement space that were much more than enough for one person to feel comfortable. During my stay, they sincerely treated me as their child, not just a guest. And I did the same toward them. I helped Louis renovate the roof in the garden and assisted Amy with house chores and organized photos on her computer. The working experience was truly insightful. By staying at a local American home, I could really learn about the American lifestyle, which was exactly what I wanted to experience! Besides the work, Amy often took me along when she went to the supermarket, helped me look around, and made it easier for me to get used to life in the U.S. Since it was my first time abroad, I felt a bit overwhelmed at that time. But thanks to the time I spent with Amy, Louis, and their lovely dog, Homie, I felt like I had a family here. That week truly showed me what Southern Hospitality means. But at the same time, I think it's just only their respectful personality though. I mean I was just so lucky to have met them. Amy was always kind and patient with my endless questions and tried to help me experience as much as possible. Before I left, she gave me great advice about school life and shared a lot of local information. We even went to Walmart together, and she helped me buy a mattress and blanket for my dorm. Louis always made sure I didn’t feel sick or uncomfortable. On my last day, he drove me to my dorm, and we had an emotional conversation along the way. When I got out of the car, he teared up, and that moment was really emotional and touching me. I can never forget it. Even though I wasn’t born or raised here, they accepted me as part of their family and community. Whenever I recall this time I stayed with them, I reflect on what kind of person I want to become and what kind of inspiration I should give to the people in our society ✨. Before leaving Georgia, I promised them I would visit their home again. I definitely will! They sincerely blessed my future, and I want to sincerely wish them endless happiness and good health. Cristina was a spectacular host, person, and friend. We had some changes happen while I was there, but Cristina made sure to prioritize communication, kindness, generosity, and was there as a support system while I stayed. She made sure I was comfortable and felt like I was part of a family. I was lucky to meet her mom, daughter, uncle, aunt, nephew, brother, and felt welcomed by everyone. Cristina took us to get dinner and showed us around the area which was also a really nice welcoming. Thank you for your hospitality Cristina, I am lucky to have met you and to have been in your presence and experience such kindness and compassion from you 💜

Our stay at Valentina and Giuseppe couldn't have been better. They did provide this awesome comfy fully equipped mobile-home in their olive yard, a beautiful place to stay with a stunning view over Viterbo. Almost every day we have been invited by them to share a delicious homemade meal and together and having good talks. Their girls and our kids got along so well, they could play for hours. As for work, we did help with harvesting olive, kiwi and Dwi has helped Valentina with chores around the house. Whenever possible, we certainly would wanna come back and visit this lovely family. Having you here for those 7 weeks was truly special for us too, you brought so much good energy, kindness and care, and you became a real part of the family. Lawrence stayed in our house for several days, and it was a great experience. He is very communicative, easygoing, and always ready to help. He brings not only strong hands but also a sharp mind to every task. His sense of humor makes working with him enjoyable, and he approaches everything with genuine interest and talent. He is particularly focused on learning about culture and local habits, which we truly appreciated. We can fully recommend Lawrence to any future host

It is very difficult to find volunteers with the musical knowledge and experience that Hanna has. She has brought to our project the ability to teach our talented members vocal techniques and musical skills, while filling them with joy and hope. Creating wonderful songs with them and taking them to a studio to record is something they will never forget and will most likely change their lives, as it has given them satisfaction, self-confidence, and hope—the starting point and driving force for a brighter and better future. She also conducted an amazing photography workshop (among other activities), which not only taught and entertained the participants, but also provided us with highly valuable material for our website, marketing, and social media. Her presence has been a blessing. I am deeply grateful for all the moments we have shared, both inside and outside the project. I truly want to express my deepest gratitude for all the love, care, dedication, and affection she has shared—and continues to share—with us. We love her so much, and we can’t wait to have her with us again.

Ich war sechs Wochen bei Uli und Sebastian und ich habe meine Zeit bei ihnen sehr genossen! Ich wurde von Anfang an sehr herzlich in die Familie aufgenommen. Ich habe mich, obwohl ich als Fremde gekommen bin, von Anfang an wie ein Teil der Familie gefühlt. Egal, ob gemeinsames Spanisch lernen, Singen, Ausflüge oder beim Schulfest, ich war immer ganz selbstverständlich mit dabei. Besonders schön fand ich das Vertrauen, das die beiden in mich hatten, dass ich meine Aufgaben bis zum Abend gut erledigen werde. Das hat mir viel zeitliche Freiheit gegeben, was mir als Langschläfer sehr entgegen kam ;) Uli und Sebastian haben vieles aus ihrer Biografie mit mir geteilt und ihr Wissen weitergeben. Dafür bin ich sehr dankbar und ich konnte viel Lebensweisheit und (Hebammen-) Wissen aus Teneriffa mit nach Hause nehmen. Sehr inspiriert und berührt hat mich auch der liebevolle und bedürfnisorientierte Umgang mit den zwei Mädels. Das war meine erste Workaway-Erfahrung und sie hätte nicht besser sein können. Ich denke immer sehr gerne an diese Zeit zurück!
