Evelyn is a wonderful host and I spent such a good time with her! She's a very communicative woman and is very easy to get along with. First thing I did every morning was walk the dogs who were lovely and behaved very well. Afterwords it was time to feed the four chickens and then we started the tasks in the garden. We planted and watered plants, but mostly restructured dry walls with mortar. You stay in your own tiny house which is attached to Evelyn's home. Thus you have a lot of privacy and simply have all you need. Evelyn is an excellent cook and we shared most lunches and dinners. Sometimes we played cards at night and sometimes she took me to an outing in the afternoon. So all I really want to say: Thank you Evelyn, I'd come again any time I could!

Anna's grace is rare and carries with it a trail of melancholic sweetness and harmony. A refreshing and reassuring presence at the same time. Even when working where her hands get dirty, she moves with ease and elegance. My flowers thank her for her patient attention, and I miss her especially at teatime. Hi Anna, you're always welcome!

I had a amazing time with Ursula! She is an amazing host and person who lent me her electric bike, introduced me to her friends, taught (and beat me at) a very fun card game, went on a beautiful walk with me and cooked me some local food 😁! When I stayed I was working in their garden and it was a lovely job I knew what I had to do and just got on with it. I was never hungry or thirsty and the company was so amazing I would call Ursula among one of my friends 😁. If I'm ever in Germany again I would go round to have a cup of tea and a catch-up! I can't recommend them enough ❤️❤️❤️

Smida ha decisamente lasciato il segno, e non solo con il suo lavoro, anche con la sua presenza discreta ed educata, la sua personalità interessante e mai banale, la sua piacevole compagnia e disponibilità. sempre calmo anche durante i lavori più impegnativi e collaborativo con gli altri ospiti. Il suo aiuto è stato fondamentale e sono veramente felice di averlo conosciuto. Buon viaggio Smida!

My stay with Marie-Anne and Ludovic was my first ever Workaway experience, and I won't forget it any time soon. Highlights: visiting Gorges D'Ardeche and Avignon, eating delicious steamed vegetables with plenty of butter on top, feeling the sense of reward and completeness that comes from working in a garden, and enjoying a good show night with the whole family (including the cutest dog nested on my lap) when I came back from my adventures :). But above all: the hosts! Kind, real, open and willing to share their life story and insights. Thanks to both, and I hope to see you again soon!

I loved my time at Uschi. Bonitta and Bambina stoled my heart and Lana also ofcourse. Uschi is a very warm person and I enjoyed here company a very interesting women. The place itself is a little paradise with beautiful mountain views. Time went so fast, it didn't felt like working but just helping out a friend. I also met a lot of nice people during my stay there. Thanks Uschi for everything! I miss you all. I hope to pass by again 9one day, to join you for a donkey walk :-)

Nils brought a breath of positive energy! Always smiling and kind, good company, he transformed an abandoned vegetable patch into a beautifully designed garden. A good worker, a big eater, and a great talker! Have a good trip, Nils!

Maria came to stay with us for just under 2 weeks and was a perfect house-guest as well as great worker, helping us tick off a number of jobs with our spring cleaning. Maria is a delightfully kind young lady with plenty of ambition. She was very respectful of our home and also very patient with our family. We really enjoyed the energy she bought into the house during her stay. Not to mention her efforts on some tedious jobs (like cleaning and painting downpipes, fences & windows!). Thank you Maria for choosing us... you are welcome back here ANY time so if for any reason your NZ travel plans change and you are back in Auckland/on Waiheke before you return to Germany, please do come back to stay!

We had a truly wonderful experience hosting Elise ❤️. From the very first day, she showed kindness, responsibility, and a genuine love for the animals. She was always on time, clean, organized, and very easy to communicate with. Her care for the dogs was exceptional , she understood their needs, had a great instinct with each one, and handled every task with dedication and patience. We could always rely on her, and she brought a very positive energy to our shelter.❤️ We recommend her to everyone without hesitation. She is an honest, hardworking, and warm person, and we would be very happy to welcome her back anytime. Thank you Elise for everything, we were very happy to have you ! 🐾❤️

Merci à Annie pour son aide, sa bonne humeur et son énergie! Elle m'a bien aidé à finir de construire la cabane à outils et pour le désherbage des fraisiers. Les échanges que nous avons eu ont été très sympa, notamment pendant les repas où nous avons souvent parlé de voyages! Annie est très dynamique, bosseuse, souriante et agréable, toujours partante! J'ai beaucoup apprécié sa présence, et notre petite fille de 3 ans aussi! Bien évidement je recommande Annie 😊

Rosa and Marlena are 2 positive , motivated girls who possess a level of maturity well above their young age. Both have applied them selves to all tasks with enthusiasm and diligence. They have been weeding, cooking, moving logs and firewood and have enriched our household with laughter and smiles. They have been a great fit here, finding that nice balance between stimulating conversation , teaching us cool games and spending quiet time by themselves so us "old folks" can chill out. These young ladies are top shelf. I wish them well for the future and highly recommend them as workawayers.

I had a lovely time here. The community was friendly and kind, and I learned some new skills with construction and wood splitting!

My 5 weeks here with Evonne and Darrell were absolutely amazing. It was my first Workaway experience and I couldn’t have wished for anything better. From the first moment I felt at home. Evonne and Darrell are warm and open and immediately found a place in my heart! Theiir Dogs, Bruno and Bo, are so sweet and I will miss them so much. We had movie nights, game nights, and many shared dinners with a lot of laughter. I’m very grateful for all the moments we spent together. I highly recommend staying with them, and I’m sure I’ll be visiting this place again in the future. Thank you very much Evonne and Darrell:)

From the very moment I arrived at Elli and Franzi's finca I felt at home! I got to meet an incredibly funny and kind couple, and to give a hand in their beautiful land, which I can't believe used to be completely dead and bare! They are doing such an incredible job regenerating this piece of land and making it into a nurturing home for all kinds oof plants and lovely animals, and any one who just asks would see immediately that there is so so much to learn from them. The area is unbelievably beautiful, and is populated by a very very special community that I'm so glad to have gotten a glimpse of. I can't explain how grateful I am for this experience!

Thank you guys! We arrived at a weird time for all of you but we keep precious memories of our time with you. The place is very inspiring and Cedric, Pierre and Marguerite are building something special. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great place to stay, a nice caravan with a covered terrace and sofa. The food was also super flexible to our needs. We really loved picking vegetables with you, cuddling the cat and helping you with the wood joinery. Great stuff Hope to see you again, Bisous

Oh where to start.. First thing first, I love this family so much.!! Memories that I had with them here is so special and unforgettable! Carolina is really powerful and positive, outgoing person like a sunshine of this family:)) She asked me to go everywhere she go and took me Boccadasse which is really famous spot in Genova. The sandwich we had ( we sprit it in half and share🤭) is super good! And She also took me to the school that she works.! Seeing the school out of Japan is one of my dream so I was so excited! The last weekend was amazing! She took me to the her girls group meeting and I went to the spa with them🥹😭They all welcomed me and had a pizza party together!! Such a wonderful day😭 ARIGATOU for everything you've done for me!! We have a similar experience in life till now and similar our personality which makes out bond stronger and have a good chemistry. I think I can talk with her forever literally lol 😂 She is like my sister! She is the one of my ideal person since I've been here:)) Can't explain how much she is lover and giver person! Marco is a super nice guy! Nice husband nice dad like a moon of this family:) Kids loves him so much and they fight for not sharing him lol He cares about me and do anything that I need. Telling me about Italian culture, food , funny experiences, jokes 😹 Georgia is a really smart girl and lit bit shy🤎I love her so much! She speaks Italian and I do English but for some reason, felt like we're connected! We had a time playing with dough, painting, drawing, with a ball, games, precious moments:) Sara is the funniest person lol I'm just laughing and writing this now remembering the memories with her😹 I got to say No! from her 100 times I think😹But it's so cute and she is an idol in this family. [English] A magnificent experience. If you really want to learn about coffee, this is the place to go, and Jhon is simply the most passionate coffee lover you could ever meet. I am very grateful for the warm welcome I received, both from him and his incredible mother. The staff at the café are great, the work isn't too hard, and depending on the season you can also visit the coffee farm itself.Thank you very much, Jhon, for everything I learned during my stay in Seville. I hope we see each other again there sometime! [Español] Una experiencia magnífica. Si realmente quieres conocer del café, este lugar es el indicado, y Jhon es simplemente la persona más apasionada del café que podrás encontrar. Estoy muy agradecido del trato cordial recibido, tanto por él como por su increíble mamá. El staff del local es genial, el trabajo no es pesado, y dependiendo de la temporada podrás también visitar la propia finca del cultivo del café. Muchas gracias, Jhon, por todo lo aprendido durante mi estancia en Sevilla. Espero nos volvamos a ver por allá en algún momento!

I really enjoyed having Chiara's help, she was so intuitive and curious about how the project worked making it easy to host her. She showed a lot of grit and strength through the olive harvesting days and spreading manure that was admirable. She cooks, cleans, is good fun to be around in general, the girl's got it all.

Anna is a cheerful, super friendly, nice woman who is great to talk to. She also did a fantastic job and supported us perfectly in all our tasks. Anna pruned shrubs and trees, swept leaves and did lots of other outdoor work, so that the garden is now in good condition again. Anna also thoroughly cleaned the wooden shed while the storm raged outside and it rained heavily. Dear Anna, a thousand thanks for staying with us and for your help.
