I stayed six weeks with Kerrie, Phil and Ben at their farm and had a wonderful time around their haflinger horses. I spent a lot of time with the foals and young mares teaching them the basics like putting on a halter, leading, tying up etc. I enjoyed that work a lot because it was really rewarding to see how quick the young ones learn. … read more took care of feeding and cleaning the stables (it was not a lot though because most horses are 24/7 on their paddock). During my stay I could ride 2-3 of their horses and I did a lot of carriage driving together with Ben. Also their dogs were always around and accompanied me most of the time. Loved the peacefulness and wideness of that place, the sunsets and it was a great way to get to know the country life in Australia. I stayed 4 weeks at Kerrie's family ranch. It was my first experience as a workaway girl and I loved it.
Phil and Kerrie made me feel comfortable right away. The level of my English was not a problem, took the time to teach me.

I stayed at the Rosymoon Haflinger Stud for 3 weeks and had am amazing time there. I was training two young mares, freshly broken in, which was an absolutely pleasure and so interesting! … read more haflingers on the Stud are absolutely incredible and so friendly. I loved to spend the golden hours and sunsets in the horse paddocks, watching and cuddling them. And the 3 border collies became my friends and were accompanying me through the whole day. They always wanted to play and cuddle. I already miss them. Kerrie and Phil were friendly hosts and their Son Ben and Maaike were so warmhearted and lovely as well. They even showed me how to drive a carriage or I could stand on the back when Ben was going really fast. Definitely a lot of amazing and new experiences which made me grow. My first Workaway experience was with Kerrie, Phil, Maaike and Ben! They have 25 beautiful Haflinger horses and are very good at what they do. When I was there, I was feeding, mucking out, halter-training foals and riding some of their young horses.

… read more driving competition one weekend and I camped out in a swag for the first time! It's incredible to watch the two of them drive and they clearly have a passion for the breed. Both of them were patient and excited to share their knowledge of the sport. It's nice to have twenty-somethings around the farm to have people to hang out with. And they took me out one night to find kangaroos!
This place is suited for someone who has a car and at least some background in dressage and training foals. As a primarily western rider, I definitely had a learning curve for schooling in a different discipline, but certainly learned so much!

Kylie is a honest girl. Good with the horses and can be trusted with foals ect.. Didn't get as much time as we would have likes, weather was terrible for ridding.. Happy to recommend her ... Wishing her a great future..

I stayed for 3 month on the farm and had a wonderful time. The family is just lovely. They showed me everything possible and took me to a rodeo. Such a nice experience! The meals are really good. Phil and Maaike are definitely the best chefs :D

… read more so pretty, nice to ride and we'll trained. I had horses to train every day and I would directly take all of them with me! The dogs are lovely and they want to cuddle and play all day so I didn't missed mine I left at home.
I also had really nice evenings with Ben and Maaike in the shed just hanging out and having funny conversations :D I learned the real Aussie English now haha!

Kerrie and her family was just amazing. The horses are very good and that was a real pleasure for me to work here. They try to learn me to speak English and they always make efforts for I understand them. They bring me to the mountais, Canberra and a lot of other places. I recommend this experience !

Very nice family! I stayed for approx 3 months. Beautiful horses, cats and dogs which they treat wonderful.
They were really good a taking me places and showing me the amazing nature - and kangaroos of course :-)

It has been a great time staying at Kerrie and Phil`s stud. The stud is located in a quiet and very peaceful area. I enjoyed working with the horses and learnt something about carriage driving. The family has a lot of experience with carriage driving! I have been shown around and was so happy to meet a lot of wild kanagroos in the rural area. :-)
