Very cool peeps and excelled at what I thought they could do. Tom is great with sorting computer systems and streamlining with AI/ bots and other tricky tech business while Lou is excellent at crafts and DIY. Was a pleasure to host them and I was sorry to see them go. Very much recommend.

One of the best staff I ever had! Even though he is very young, Jacob is incredibly mature and responsible. After hearing instructions or feedback just once or twice, he immediately improved. I was especially impressed in the beginning — after receiving feedback on check-ins, he quickly started adding small talk on his own and handled check-ins like someone with years of experience. He also tried to help everyone even outside of his working hours, and each of his actions was genuinely touching. Just yesterday, he proactively helped carry a guest’s luggage. Many people only notice these things after I point them out, but Jacob did them naturally, without being told. That meant a lot to me. I don’t know what career path he’ll choose in the future, but I’m sure he’ll succeed anywhere he goes. Thank you, Jacob.<3<3<3<3<3<3 You will always have a home here in Hiroshima — come back anytime.

Thank you so much for hosting me, Anna! I truly enjoyed my stay at your place - tidying up your apartment, spending time together, and joining you for your Spanish class and the community lunch. From the very beginning, I felt comfortable and welcomed. Anna is incredibly caring, respectful, and has a genuinely warm heart. The area where she lives is absolutely beautiful - you step out of the house, cross the street, and you’re right at the ocean. I stayed with Anna for a week and had plenty of time to explore the city of Victoria. It was a wonderful experience, and I’m very grateful for the time I spent there.

The first endearing thing about Lilli was when she wrote she was "a little scared" of the off-grid experience we offer. Omg, I thought, will she ever suffer from the harshness of the place... But then, we always provide some VERY descriptive vídeos, and she still chose to come! ❤️ And were we ever so lucky!!! Lilli was brave as little Dalcó himself, NEVER complained when things got tough, ALWAYS showed up with her loving, caring PRESENCE and her beautiful smile, and held the fort when Paden left for the tough physical stuff - even when challenges came like the famous broken eggs! 😃 Especially our very nervous young mare Duña felt so safe around Lilli that she followed her all over the finca, away from her herd and even into the dark forest! Dalcó the maltreated rescue dwarf hero fell for her right from the beginning and applied for a visa to the USA... 😃 While quite a few youngsters who get here are still sponsored by their parents, Lilli and Paden both earned their trip with their own work, which makes us feel even more honoured and proud of all the work they did for the finca, mostly for water and transport and therefore animal and human safety! We are still in touch and lively exchange and feel deeply enriched and grateful for that, too!

Maria helped me allot in marketing my project on social media. She is so energetic and corporative. Highly recommend for any project that needs a nice push on social media

Jacinthe and Claude are very kind people who like meet new persons and share their knowledge. We spent a week with them and we discovered a huge part of the territory outside the big cities of Quebec. They are at the middle point between Victoriaville, Drummondville and Trois-Rivière, so it's the perfect place to see both of them and the countryside. Therefor, they live in an unusually lifestyle so everyone have something to learn with them.

Virginia was wonderful and a real pleasure to host. She helped with all sorts of tasks and often needed only half an instruction before she was already on it. She takes initiative, is very capable, and has a real talent for organising things. We also had many lovely conversations. Although her English is not perfect, she understands everything and her rich life experience makes communication effortless . We had fun together, and she brought a warm, positive presence to our home. I can highly recommend her to any future host.

I really enjoyed having Eve as a helpful workaway. She planted some things for me that grew nicely. She was ready to help when I needed her . Eve has a pleasant personality. She comes highly recommended.

I stayed with Michiko and Gensen for two weeks and had a wonderful time! We shared wonderful meals together, great conversations and talked about many things including their cultures and present/future projects. I learned a lot from both of them as they know so much about gardening, living off the land, cooking and sustainable living. Their daughter Sarasa was really fun being around and brought such a lovely energy to the dynamic! We worked on all sorts of things, gardening and digging but also packing and organizing food and drinks that they make for their business, I really enjoyed the work! I’d love to come back to Taiwan for stay again with them :)

Bernward and Barbara gave me the best start to my journey in Australia that I could ask for! I stayed with them for 6 weeks, and I learned so much about chook care and carpentry. I helped Bernward build a wooden bridge across the stream on the property & we worked together to build out my Subaru forester! I love to meditate while gardening & was able to plant out their entire greenhouse and some of their garden beds. Thankfully, I was around to taste the first strawberries of the spring! Bernward allows backpackers to find areas and tasks that interest them & helps cultivate projects based on those interests. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I had an amazing time staying with Lauren and Lou, helping them with a group of workawayers to prep the site in the lead up to a festival. As hosts, they were very welcoming, always happy to answer qus on the work / share experiences and chats with all the volunteers and provided such delicious food, which I was v grateful for. They also kindly picked me up and dropped me at the train station on my arrival and return. The site as well is beautiful - i had the 'Aussie' experience I was hoping for, seeing kangaroos, having a dip in the dam and seeing a super clear night sky and full moon in the southern hemisphere ?! (dreamy 🌝) The work was varied from mowing, whipper snipping to building rock walls and generally helping beautify the site ahead of the event. I felt lucky to be able to stay for the festival and enjoy it with them both and the other volunteers, which was a fab experience. And fiiiinally, it was so lovely to be in a space that felt so open and welcoming to everyone - which is a reflection on the environment that Lauren and Lou have built. Getting the chance to hang with other queer people is always something I love, and so this definitely added to it for me. Thanks so much for having me, would definitely recommend volunteering here 😎

Thank you to join us Thank you for coming to help teach at my school. However, I normally do not accept volunteers who smoke, and this time . The smell of cigarette smoke remained heavily in the room. the curtains, pillows, bed sheets, and mattress — as the smoke smell had soaked into all of them. The smell even spread throughout the building, which is not healthy for next volunteers . After you checked out, you didn’t sweep the room or take out the trash. You left the place without cleaning for the next volunteers Nevertheless, I still want to thank you for helping teach the children while you were here. However, I still gave you 5 stars,

Mathias is a great man !!! All the team was happy to work with him and me more. it was a great opportunity for us to cross the way of Mathias. Really responsible man. always want to help and very flexible for all kind of task. We wish a good travel to Mathias and a lot of luck.

I had a fantastic time volunteering at the language centre and was sad to leave after 7 weeks. The kids were fun and a pleasure to teach; I definitely learnt things too and improved my teaching skills! The staff are very professional and are experienced at supporting volunteers. If you are able you can teach independently but you are always supported exactly as you need. The hosts are so kind, friendly and well organised. I would like to say a very big thank you to them for making sure everything went smoothly (and also for the long and super interesting conversations!) :) Маш их баярлалаа! The accommodation provided was comfortable, convenient, sunny and very warm especially when the cold winter weather arrived. Darkhan is a small city: quiet, relaxed and safe with everything most people need. Staying there is a great way to experience and take part in real Mongolian urban life outside of the capital. The countryside is never far away and I enjoyed the easy hiking in the hills at the edge of the city. Seeing beautiful Mongolian horses up close as they grazed in the town was a special experience. If you want to spend some time getting to know the real, modern Mongolia from a stable base, then I recommend volunteering here. Volunteers, let's be grateful for this opportunity and always try our best at teaching and taking care of the apartment as if it's our own home: then we will leave with many happy memories. Personally, I will never forget the stunning landscape, the gentle kindness of the people I met, and the eternal blue sky.

Aimee's sanctuary might be the most magical place on earth (yes, way better than Disneyland). All of the animals have such beautiful and unique personalities - it is worth getting to know every single one of them. We instantly hit it off with the goats - you can't escape Arret's advances, nor can you resist Nana's gorgeous, smiley face as she waddles over for bananas. Even the more shy ones stand out by the end (here's looking at you, eyebrow Abbi). All the babies in the sanctuary deserve all the love and attention in the world. What can we say about Aimee? She is the craziest but most welcoming person we have ever had the privilege of meeting. She makes you feel instantly at home, and by the end of our time there, it truly felt like a family. We laughed until we cried, and we cried until we laughed. Endless highlights - amazing people, 5* food, board games and trivia nights, and the best animal cuddles! We will miss everyone we met, especially the animals, and can't wait to visit again in the future. Aimee, you are our home away from home and will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

We stayed with Jocelyn for 2 weeks in the middle of September and had the most amazing time. They are in such a beautiful location, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the island and getting to know the family. Our jobs involved furniture restoration, building a fire pit, weeding, and other bits of island maintenance - we really felt like Jocelyn took the time to read our profile and find jobs that were a good fit for us. There is also a lot to do in your free time - exploring the island (they have a full frisbee golf course if this is your thing), water activities, nearby winery/cidery, playing board/card games with the family and opportunities to hike at weekends. Bonus points for Sawyer the dog and the cats/kittens. Would highly recommend!

Right from first contact we realised that Alica spoke great English and was keen to find out about us and our lives. She was respectful, kind, self motivated, and worked well with us or could be left to do tasks by herself. The perfect workawayer! Alica used her initiative and was very inventive at solving problems as she helped build a new poultry proof fence. She knew what she wanted from her time with us and asked when she needed something, checked when she was unsure and jumped at every opportunity to experience life in NZ. She even happily came on long, challenging hikes with me and made use of offers from locals, to go horse riding. We were very happy that she ate everything she was fed and made some traditional German family meals which were delicious. Her mother and grandmother shared recipes with us and we are looking forward to making a Christmas stollen. I can absolutely recommend Alica as an honest, respectful, sociable and hard working young woman. Thanks Alica - miss you already!

A very authentic experienceI learned so much about Māori culture and local artists. Jan is incredibly friendly once you get used to the accent, you realise it right away. I had my own fully equipped apartment, which was super comfortable. The area is full of beautiful places to explore. Pack your backpack and go you won’t be disappointed staying with Jan !

Staying with Mike and Kareena was a really special experience. I learned a lot about gardening and improved my English thanks to all our great conversations. I’ll never forget going fishing with Mike on a beautiful sunny day. Their garden is amazing, and everyone including the neighbors made me feel truly welcomed. We also played tennis on their court, which was a lot of fun. Thank you both for your kindness and hospitality. I warmly recommend staying with them !
