Gabriela took in charge our farm when we were travelling. She managed to handle the place being mainly busy with the complexity of our watering system. She also took care of our dog. She acted with attention and responsability. It was a chance and a pleasure to have her as a volunteer.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been welcomed by Thomas and his family to this wonderful place, which they created with so much creativity, care, and love. The work can be a bit challenging when facing the unpredictable Irish weather, but at the same time, the contact with nature and the lovely animals is very inspiring! Highly recommended! Ive met very nice and vibrant ppl in that small village. I certainly intend to return on my next adventure! All the Best <3

My time on Loon Island was amazing. I got to know two incredibly wonderful people, Hope and Phil, and also found two friends. They truly have a little paradise on their small island. The work that needs to be done is varied, and if you love outdoor work, it’s perfect. Phil explained a lot to me, taught me new things, and I learned so much; the same goes for Hope. My English noticeably improved during my stay, and I became much more confident. What I liked most was how they make you feel like part of the family. Whether guests or family members are visiting, the workawayer is always included and has their place at the table. I will definitely visit them again, and I’m grateful for having had this experience! Thank you very much.

Staying with Catherine was a very special experience for me. She is an amazing person—interesting, generous, relaxed, and full of life. From the very first day, she made me feel part of her home. She introduce me to her wonderful family(Jules, Margarite, Violet and her parents are all lovely ), she showed me around the area, introduced me to her friends, and created a beautiful sense of community that I will not forget. The work was enjoyable, especially being outside, helping around the property, and picking mushrooms in the forest. And of course, I have to mention Simone—the sweetest dog, always ready to make you smile. I already miss everyone and everything about this place. I will definitely come back. Thank you, Catherine, for such an unforgettable stay.

I had the greatest time with Astree, Flo and Luna! I felt so welcome as soon as i arrived, 2 weeks went like flying :) Work was mostly helping with chestnut and apple harvest and making jam and juice. See you next year! <3

This farm is a dream for every workawayer! Everything was so well organised, the place was amazingly beautiful and the people were soooo lovely ❤ Thanks to Barir for having us on the farm & guiding us in our day to day tasks. Thanks to Emi for the food, the laughs and the love stories. And thanks to Desta for the delicious cakes & snacks. We will forever be grateful for our time here and carry the experience in our hearts.

I worked here for 3 weeks in November this year and it was wonderful! the location is really nice- located in a peaceful neighbourhood but still a short walk from the city centre. Because it was towards the end of the season, there were not many people staying so not much to do- I reccomend coming earlier in the year if you prefer to be busy. On the other hand, Marina, Victor and Dragon are such sweet people. Welcoming, great to chat to, and always helpful when I had a question. They are also flexible and mentioned that if I ever wanted to go out or do something they were happy to come in and cover. Overall I had a lovely experience and I definitely recommend!

This place felt like a home away from home for us. After being in busy Kathmandu, everything about the farm felt so peaceful. The garden is so beautiful and well looked after by the team. We loved learning about coffee and the huge variety of fruits and vegetables grown and how this is achieved through organic methods. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed by Dipa, Ama, Bishal, Dinesh, Mangale and Kedar. They are all so kind and helpful - really going the extra mile to make us feel at home and looked after both during our stay and helping us organise our onward travels. We loved learning about local Nepali village life from each of them in different ways. Even when we couldn’t fully communicate through shared language we connected through smiles and laughter. We also really appreciated the clear and structured routine each day. This made it easy to fit into the rhythm of daily farm life and feel part of the community. Finally, we can’t believe how well fed we were throughout our whole stay! Everyday we were powered by generous helpings of delicious home-made Dahl Bhat - as well as fruit, coffee, tea and snacks! We really appreciated our vegetarian and vegan diets being carefully considered and catered for. Thank you so much for such a wonderful Workaway experience. Nanna and Magnus are a wonderful couple! I thought I couldn't possibly be surprised by any more volunteers, but from day one they've been so welcoming, so helpful, and adapted so well to our "hectic life" (hehe), that we really miss them. They made great progress, and very quickly, with everything we needed, even taking on very different tasks each day. Especially building those wooden walls that will always remind us of them. We highly recommend this young couple, as they are lovely people, wonderful with children and animals, and incredibly efficient with time and tasks. They work brilliantly as a team and are very organized together. We also had some lovely conversations, they were very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful.I sincerely hope they thoroughly enjoy their trip and come back someday, as it's gone by so quickly and Cantabria still has so many beautiful places to visit. THANK YOU!

Guardo recuerdos absolutamente extraordinarios de mi estancia con esta familia. Desde el momento en que llegué, me sentí como en casa, en un entorno natural verdaderamente mágico. Su casa, rodeada de una naturaleza magnífica, es un auténtico remanso de paz, donde cada día comienza con un sentimiento de gratitud. La familia está formada por cinco personas, cada una tan entrañable.. El padre, siempre divertido y amable, aportó una maravillosa ligereza a cada momento que compartimos. La madre, dulce y adorable, creó una atmósfera de confianza y calidez que me hizo sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Los niños, llenos de alegría e imaginación, iluminaron mis días; me reí tanto con ellos que aún recuerdo sus ocurrencias y juegos. La presencia de todos sus animales hizo que el ambiente fuera aún más vibrante y armonioso. Realmente se siente que cada ser, humano o animal, tiene su lugar y es amado. Las tareas fueron muy fáciles, pude involucrarme muy fácilmente gracias a la amabilidad sin igual de Lydia; esta mujer se ha convertido en un modelo a seguir para mí! Qué puedo decir de la comida? Creo sinceramente que allí comí las mejores comidas de mi vida: sanas, sabrosas, preparadas con cariño y generosidad. Cada comida fue un regalo. Lo que más me conmovió fueron los pequeños detalles, siempre atentos y considerados. Se nota que hacen todo lo posible para que te sientas cómodo, respetado, incluido y seguro. Su forma de vida, sencilla y profunda a la vez, me inspiró enormemente. Salí de esa casa con la sensación de haber dejado allí un pedacito de mi corazón. Gracias por su bienvenida, por su luz, por su amabilidad y por todo lo que me dieron. Jamás olvidaré este mes que pasé con ustedes. I've had a wonderful first experience as a workawayer. Ann and Peter are nice persons and welcoming hosts. Unfortunately i could spend only 9 days in their amazing land. My main duty was picking olives, very interesting and satisfying activity. We used to work half of the day and the rest of the day was free. It's possible to use their mountain bikes for beautiful rides to the mountains or to the sea. The accommodation is cozy and equipped with everything. Peter is very humorous and friendly. He's also a touristic guide and he's always open to share his knowledge about olives, bees, birds, Ebro Delta and so on ... Ann is kindhearted and funny too. She also cook very well: the suppers were always delicious! My stay was even more valuable because I shared these days with other two workawayers (Oliwia and Said). I really enjoyed the time spent together. Last but not least, they have three beautiful and sweet dogs: Alba, Lucy and Ozzy. I miss them! Fully recommended.

Max war bei uns von Mitte August bis Ende Oktober, wir durften eine sehr schöne Zeit mit ihm verbringen. Max hat uns unheimlich viel geholfen bei allen was in diesen Wochen rund um Haus und Garten an arbeiten anstand, angefangen bei Holz Häckseln über Holz schlichten, bis hin zur Erstellung eines goldfischteichs, Streicharbeiten und das tägliche gassi gehen mit unseren idefix. Er hat seine Aufgaben immer zur vollsten Zufriedenheit erledigt auch arbeiten die er vorher nicht kannte konnte er nach kurzer Anweisung zur vollsten Zufriedenheit umsetzen. Erfahrungen in der weinlese, Hühner schlachten und Kartoffelernte konnte er auch noch sammeln. Max ist ein sehr ruhiger, freundlicher hilfsbereiter junger Mann, der sich super in unser Familien Leben eingelebt hat und alle hausregeln umgesetzt hat. Kurzum max ist eine große Hilfe bei allem was im Haus und Garten an fällt. Wir wünschen ihm für seine weitere Reise und zukünftiges Leben alles erdenklich gute.

Meeting Erell was such a pleasure — she's very nice and friendly. She completed all the tasks required, and my students loved having her in the lessons, especially during the event where they had to present their Workaway project. I highly recommend her for any position she applies for and I wish her all the best in life.

Daycia and Bryan were a pleasure to have at the farm. They both have a positive can do attitude and are happy to help with any tasks required. They helped in the garden, harvesting rice and with other manual tasks around the farm. Bryan also cooked very tasty vegan food for us all. Thank you both for staying with us and I hope to see you again in the future!

Working on August's farm was varied and interesting. There was a lot of help with the animals (bulls, calves, horses, sheep) as well as cleaning the cabins he rents as guesthouses. Also I loved cooking and baking for the family. Whenever I needed anything, it was never a problem, and I could borrow the car. I felt like at home. Their dog Erro is amazing and very kind, and the same goes for Týra – I really grew fond of them both. I highly recommend it and thank you for everything.

Tom & Peace were a pleasure to have around. They were willing to try new things and help me out. Very positive couple, we had a good time together off and on the Shamba and not to mention they make great cookies! All the best with your travels guys. Love from me and Potato! <3

Max was a brilliant volunteer, we thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent with us. He's very interesting to speak to and he can talk about just about anything which is perfect for hostel life. He was always very helpful even during the hours that he wasn't working, like in the middle of the night ;) I couldn't recommend him enough. Wishing you all the best in life Max!

I stayed with Olga and the boys for two weeks this past October and it was truly a special and inspiring time. Olga is great company, as are the neighbours and I enjoyed spending time with them all. I also thoroughly enjoyed seeing Olga play mandolin in the fabulous orchestra! Another highlight was taking part in an improvisational dance class. For Olga I made recipes to use up the apples from the garden. There were lots and lots of apples :) We dried apples, made apple butter, apple chutney, apple and ginger cake and probably some other things that I've forgotten. I enjoyed doing other cooking for Olga such as pancakes, everybodies favourite. I also enjoyed helping with the candle making, including sticker design and photography :) The house itself is very good vibes, from the clay that makes up the walls, to the music, crafts and artwork that fills it up. I am very grateful for your hospitality, generosity and kindness towards me. It was inspiring to see a slice of your life. Thank you for everything and I look forward to meeting again <3
