Anna and Geoffrey were very kind hosts and really incorporated us Workawayers into their family life - while they cooked meals we were always invited to come and help or just chat and hang out. Their daughter Charlie is very cute and very animated. She enjoyed helping me with my French. Anna and Geoffrey cooked delicious meals for us and there was plenty of food. They did an exceptional job cooking for me given that I have very complicated food restrictions / allergies. The work itself was very physical, but I felt satisfied completing projects with them and it felt like a great exchange. In addition to meals, the accomodation was lovely - the bed and bedding good, the showers hot, etc. The property is lovely. They offered us a yoga class and during the weekend they brought us to the local tree fair with them and the next day I went with them to lunch at friends of theirs - all invitations, but of course there was no requirement to join. It was my first workaway and what a lovely one!

It was a pleasure to host Coralie and Olivier in our home. They are a delightful couple and always find the joy in every situation. They are both great workers and u was so delighted to get some of my plants moved ( on my list for a long time) , strumming, weeding and even my oven cleaned when we had a wet day. They applied themselves to each job with care and attention and I am very grateful for all their help. They are both very easy to get on with and during the week they were with us I felt we got to know each other and had many lovely moments of connection. I would highly recommend them to other hosts.

We had a great time with Lena and Martin and we miss them already a lot! They are super helpful,respectful, responsable, with big hearts that care a lot. Our kids and our cat loved them! And they cooked very nice meals and baked a lot of yummi Desserts. We hope to see them again and wish a great futher travel and amazing experience!

Raùl and Dino came to us last minute and boy are we grateful they did. Very nice polite and genuine young men who will be an absolute asset to anyone who gives them a place to volunteer. Both worked well without supervision. Highly motivated to get the job done. And whilst their stay was only for 10 days they packed a lot into them. We heartily recommend these 2 young men and hope they will come our way again.

We could have seriously adopted Vincent. Alas he had to return home. Absolutely fantastic guy. Worked so well we were able to do other things whilst he supervised other volunteers. So likeable our dogs fell madly in love with him. And even though it wasn't in his job requirements he helped me (Josie) with my computer. Highly motivated. Personable and genuinely an all round nice guy. We miss him terribly and hope one day he will come our way again. Grab him with both hands. He's a keeper.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Lara this Autumn. She is an easygoing, cheerful person to have around and was always happy to undertake any task asked of her. She quickly became a popular member of the group, happy to go with the flow for whatever was suggested for days off. When we were away for a few days, she helped out in the kitchen with cooking and cleaning for the group, and took wonderful care of our 8 rescue dogs as well. We can certainly highly recommend Lara to future hosts .

Lucia and Juan are two wonderful people! They introduced me to their culture and made me feel welcome from the beginning to the end of my stay! I really enjoyed volunteering in Itá Ibaté. Presenting the french culture and participating in school activites were amazing experiences that I will never forget!! The work is very well organized, the town is pretty, the people are friendly and the students are very enthusiastic. I can't recommend this workaway highly enough!

Mi estadia en la casa de Steph y Maria fue maravillosa : tareas diversificadas y tranquilas (huerto, jardin, construcción en bambu, trabajo mas creativo etc.), rica comida, actividades compartidas, conversaciones profundas etc. Las chicas son super buena onda, simpaticas y acogedores. Abren su puerta con confianza. Y sali de aca con dos nuevas amigas :-) Su casa es preciosa, tranquila, llena de cantos de pajaros. Pues, muy recomandado :-)

Merci Christophe pour cette aide précieuse pendant ta venue du 29 octobre au 9 novembre 2025. Christophe est un workawayer attentionné, débrouillard. Il a un recul qui lui permet de voir ce qu'il y a à faire sans qu'on lui dise, il se débrouille très bien pour réussir les challenges qu'on lui donne. Il est discret et toujours là si on a besoin. Il ne compte pas ses heures. C'est une personne avec qui on peut avoir de belles discussions et des échanges constructifs. Il est très à l'écoute. J'espère qu'il reviendra en décembre pour qu'on finisse le petite gîte derrière la maison !

Lyndsay est venue une semaine début octobre. Tout s'est très bien passé. Nous avons eu de bons échanges et Lyndsay a bien réalisé les travaux que je lui avais confiés. Merci à elle d'être venue m'aider.

We have absolutely loved our stay at Jen's cottage. We're a Dutch couple and it was absolutely perfect for us! Jen is a great host, we were so lucky to meet her before we took over! She's easy to communicate with and very appreciative. We felt super welcome. Jerry, who lives next to the cottage, is also great. He helped us out where needed and has amazing tips for the area. We adored Pippa the dog, she would sometimes stay with us, but we mostly went on walks with her after which she'd return home to Jerry. So - the area. The Gap and the Valley are just amazing! You are quite a bit away from the 'real' world, so you have to be okay with that. I'd say it's about a 40 minute drive to Killarney or Kenmare, a drive we'd do about once or twice a week. It's such a privilege to live in the middle of nature as epic as this area. We have taken many (many!) amazing walks and hikes, and did a few roadtrips to the nearby areas and peninsulas. It all worked out great with the work we were doing and the things we wanted to see. I do recommend having your own car though, I can't imagine getting around without. The Airbnb we cared for was beautiful. I get why the guests love it so much! It's a big house, but you get the hang of cleaning pretty easily. The first few cleans demand a little bit of finding your way, but after that, it's quite enjoyable! I'd recommend either some great music or a podcast! And - the work we had to do was so minimal compared to the time we had! Again, it was (in our opinion) an amazing stay. Thank you so much, Jen, for giving us this opportunity! Merci à Maëva pour l'aide qu'elle m'a fourni pendant ces 3 semaines. C'est une jeune fille discrète mais qui a toujours le sourire et toujours de bonne humeur. Elle a fait du jardin, passer la tondeuse, le karcher (même sur le toit) et aussi fait de la peinture. Elle a toujours donné le meilleur d'elle même pour réaliser les travaux. Nous avons eu un très bon échange donc pour moi c'est une belle expérience.

We had the pleasure of staying here for nearly two weeks and we wished we could have stayed longer. The experience was amazing, thanks to the incredible hospitality of this warm and welcoming family. We found them through Workaway last minute and we couldn’t be luckier! The work was easy and manageable, giving us plenty of time to explore Kathmandu and its surroundings. The house itself is beautifully maintained and clean, especially for us that were fortunate to have a private room with an en suite. The food was absolutely delicious, mostly sourced straight from their garden. They almost wouldn’t let you wash the dishes as nice as they are! Every member of the family made us feel at home. Sita with her cooking skills and love for conversation; Sundar with his energy and dance moves, always playing with the little one; Prakriti with her humor and vibrant energy. I couldn’t help but feel a special bond with Roshika and little Angel. Roshika is not only a gorgeous woman, but also an incredibly kind and caring person, always so easy to talk to, never stopped working, even while being 39 weeks pregnant! And little Angel 👼is pure sunshine, always smiling and spreading happiness!! ☀️ Nischal, who was our point of contact from the very start, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Thanks to him, we had the opportunity to take the Ghurkas tour by motorbike in an area that few tourists get to see. He even arranged for us to stay in a room with a hammock overlooking a beautiful lake, which was such a thoughtful touch, and took plenty of lovely photos of us! Nepali people are known for their kindness, and this family embodies it perfectly. We’re so grateful for the experience and will always carry fond memories of our time here. 🌼 Erika&Lewis

Staying with Sam, Trina and Alix was such a special experience! From the moment I arrived, they were extremely warm and welcoming. I really appreciated how the volunteers were never made to feel like we were just there to work, but rather really made to feel a part of the family. We planted over 200 truffle trees, which was very interesting and rewarding! Sam is such an amazing and creative cook, and it was always a lovely environment during breakfast, lunch or dinner to have interesting conversations about all sorts of things. The family was generous enough to take us on all sorts of adventures - to the local market, a 24km hike, and a beautiful restaurant. I hope to be back one day!

I am very grateful to Maggie and her family for welcoming me so warmly into their home and on their farm. They offered me great comfort in a caravan equipped with everything I needed. I learned many things from Maggie, a strong and very clever woman who taught me everything from gardening and caring for dogs and her adorable puppies, to how to handle various tasks and the potentially challenging weather (be prepared). I am also grateful to Barry for the opportunity to participate in the farm events that connect children with nature and animals. A very inspiring experience with a family who, even in difficult times, had the strength to keep a smile on their faces and take such good care of their animals and their farm. Not to mention the beautiful rainbows on rainy mornings! Highly recommended! I hope to return in the near future and contribute to new projects <3

We stayed here for three weeks and had a great time. The work ranges from cleaning to working in the Cafe and is easy to understand. Met some great people including Gabe and Hugo (hostel staff) as well as other volunteers. A really fun experience and was able to do a lot of surfing. Definitely recommended!

Claire was a wonderful volunteer. She is incredibly kind, has great energy, and is always respectful. She carried out all her tasks with responsibility, and all of our guests were very happy with her presence. She brought a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the hostel, which truly helped us create a better environment for our passengers. She was also very considerate and flexible with the different areas we assigned to her, whether it was cleaning, creating videos and content, watering plants, or any other task. It was clear that she genuinely tried to connect with the locals in a very respectful and kind way. We were extremely happy with her, and our entire staff enjoyed working with her. We are very grateful for her contribution, and we hope she continues to have many beautiful adventures around the world. :)

Gabriela took in charge our farm when we were travelling. She managed to handle the place being mainly busy with the complexity of our watering system. She also took care of our dog. She acted with attention and responsability. It was a chance and a pleasure to have her as a volunteer.
