As our first workaway experience, Nimea and Paulo were very welcoming and we enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. I really liked learning about the agroforest as well as getting a more nuanced understanding of permaculture in practice. The tasks were easy to manage and with a large group of volunteers we were able to play to our strengths as well as expand our skillsets. One of the highlights of the large group has also been cooking all the cool vegan meals together. I have learned a lot of new recipes 😎. The surrounding area was pretty cool to explore with everyone as well. Nimea was very hands on and always willing to explain anything and chat as well. Learning more about your practice has been fascinating. Thank you guys for the amazing experience!

Yves is truly an incredible person! He welcomed me into his home with open arms and took me on a journey of discovery in and around Nantes. He truly loves the Italian language and culture—he speaks almost perfect Italian. He also has tons of wonderful stories to tell and lives in a beautiful house near paths straight out of a fantasy novel. Highly recommended.

We volunteered with the family for about two weeks and it was very hard for us to leave. Shota and Yuchi and of course sweet Ai Chang unite everyone, always in a good mood and with a smile. They made us feel at home and part of the family and it was inspiring to see a young couple building something amazing and meaningful with full passion to preserve the traditional Japanese way of life like this community and we woke up in the morning with joy to work to support their idea. We worked mainly on setting up a temporary parking lot for the festival with Preethi who has lived there for a year and we had a lot of fun. The views are amazing, the volunteers who come are lovely one by one and everyone brings their own energy and harmony is created to one big family. We are so grateful for this experience and we will never forget it.

I volunteered at Julie`s Castillo de la Riviera for 4 weeks and it exactly what I was looking for. She didn`t gave me a specific work schedule but she expected me to do some daily tasks such as turning on the lights during twilight and feeding the cat Grito. I also had the chance to create daily content for her Café and Boutique which is right next to the Castillo. Honestly, this was the coolest part!! If you`re into video-editing, content creation, story telling and Internet trends, this is the perfect project for you to practice and try out trends and content. Julie and her business partners from the collective gave me the freedom to use the whole store for creating content, she even asks her girl friends to come modeling for content AND on top of that I had free coffee at the Café (and let me tell you that this coffee didn`t taste bad at all.) The boutique sells local designer products fro Manuel Antonio, vintage clothing and swimwear handmade in Costa Rica. My accomodation too was really great. It`s not big, but private, cozy and it had everything I needed. The Castillo itself offers a lot of space - especially for creatives - and thanks to the flexible schedule Julie gave me I had lots of free time to work on my personal projects, too. I`d recommend this project especially for women who wants to surround themselves with inspiring, female businessowners and founders of brands in Costa Rica. You should also like monkeys, cats and dogs plus if you`re a surfer or want to start, it`s a perfect fit, too. I personally hope to see Julie again some time in the future cause she`s one of the coolest women I got to know!

Great host, we had a chance to meet the family and it was very pleasant. The conditions were good, we had a whole house to ourselves, felt very safe and comfortable.

My experience with Valle at el campo in el Arrecife de Córdoba was quite unique. Valle has alot of knowledge about primaculture and gardening. I enjoyed working with her and sometimes on my own while she was busy with her own things. I enjoyed doing some painting too in the house . Staying in a village like el Arrecife was quite relaxed and tranquil for me since I like nature and silence. In the village even walking distance or using bicycle, necessity shops like pharmacy, mini market, some bars and restaurants were found.

Padel is the kindest person ! We asked him if we could come only 2 days before and he accepted even though the weather was not too good and we couldn't do any work on the farm, we had such a wonderful peaceful time, padel is very funny and took us to see really nice place and views on top of mountains, Ancient Greek history that he explained to us very well and waterfalls. I really really enjoyed my time with him and hopefully see you in October ;)

I had a truly wonderful week with Akke in Ngunguru. The Tutukaka Coast is a hidden gem and so is Akke's little place. Work was all manageable and flexible. Akke is delightful company and cooks very delicious food. Great first workaway !

We had an amazing week staying with Thomas and Jasmin! They are really kind and helpful. They gave us lots of tips on exploring the area (lovely in winter). We shared our dinners and had lots of interesting discussions about life, travels, personal thoughts. It was very interesting to share our cultures. They both are hardworkers but always smiling and take time for workawayers ! We helped them to renovate, and prepare the garden for spring. Thank you so much for this stay !

I had a great time staying with Jean and Marion. They have a beautiful family and house and I felt very lucky to have been able to stay with them. They were very responsive and gave loads of great recommendations for exploring the local area.

I got a warm welcome by M and T and enjoyed my time here overall , I got a bit overwhelmed by the heat at first but slowly got used to it . Any differences or misunderstanding we had we could discuss in a productive manner. I got invited to a local party and it was a lot of fun to meet their friends. the works was easy and unfortunately too little as the guesthouse was a going a bit slow because of the conflicts with Thailand. Rest assure it's a very safe place and the village you stay in is a great way to get in touch with locals and authentic Khemer life. You get to enjoy the beach, kayaking, and while you're working have a few drinks. so definitely recommend this experience and M and T as hosts.

Very kind workawayers and great cultural exchange. They were with us for two weeks and helped us with the garden and cooked a delicious typical Iranian dish twice. Both were very helpful and independent. Sometimes we had to get used to each other's pace of work. We had a great time together and I recommend these Workawayers to everyone.

Talissa was only supposed to stay for a week or so, but I asked her to extend her stay, and she ended up staying for about a month. Not only that - afterwards, I invited her back to do house-sitting while I was away. That alone shows how much I trust her: I left her my house, car, and cat for a month and a half. She took perfect care of everything, and when I returned, everything was spotless. She also drove me to and from the airport, which was a great help. On top of that, Talissa is great company, exceptionally well organized, and an excellent cook. I wouldn’t hesitate to host her again anytime, or to leave her the keys knowing everything would be in good hands.

Enes stayed with us around 2 months and you can see the difference in the finca. He works and with a sincere will to help. He is very reliable, quiet and friendly. A blessing for every host!
