Anna and Fabrizio are the kindest souls! They welcomed us into their home and made sure that we are comfortable with the work and was very flexible with the work schedule. … read more twilight, you can see the town below slowly lit up , and walking back, see the lit up Castle,, what a surreal experience! We enjoyed tucking away all the wild-growing vines and plucking away leaves to open up the flowers. We saw how much hard work and dedication both Anna and Fabrizio put into the care of their vineyard, it was truly touching! During your free time, you can easily visit Canale, Lake Tenno and Lake Garda, Arco (I did a Via Ferrata there!), hike and bike everywhere! We just wished we could have spent more time with you, Anna and Fabrizio, and we are deeply grateful for all the love and kindness you showed us during our stay!

I host Lova and her friend and was absolutely fantastic to be with them. They were very nice: good company, curios and interested, good workers and very careful and aware. But the most beautiful staff it was to heard them laughing and listen their music while they were working! I miss them and I hope to see them back.

… read more Trento, nestled in the forest, it truly felt like a little heaven on Earth. Afterwards, we went to Tenno, a charming village with a castle. From there, you can take beautiful walks to the romantic old town, to Lago di Tenno, or even to Lago di Garda or Arco, which are all very close.
There are plenty of options for hiking, walking, or biking, Anna even lent me a bike and we went cycling together! She's very active, so you definitely won’t be bored. I’m really grateful for all the activities she organized. One evening, I even had a private concert from the duo Anna and Fabrizio and it was magical, haha:D Another night, we did outdoor yoga under the full moon, which was such a special experience. I could go on with plenty more kind words, but that would make this too long, so I’ll just add that Anna is a true master chef, and you’ll get to enjoy her absolutely delicious meals!
Unfortunately, I could only stay 10 days with them because I didn’t have more time, but I truly wish I could have stayed longer! Grazie di tutto! Spero davvero di tornare presto!:)

We stayed with Anna for 1 week. We planned to stay for 2 weeks but unfortunately our plans had changed and we had to leave early. Anna was understanding about this.

Unfortunately there wasn't much time to do cultural exchange, but we still learnt about preserving foods and everyday life in Italy.

Anna was an amazing host. We had such a good week staying in her place in Tenno! The photos do not do it justice, the surrounding scenery is out of this world! :) Tenno is a medieval town with some lovely walks surrounding it aswell as lakes close by and restaurants/cafes etc.

Anna made delicious meals everyday which were super healthy and so tasty.
We had a room to ourselves with some amazing views and it was very comfortable.
We had plenty of time off to explore surrounding areas like Calvola,lake tenno and riva del garda. The location was very close to garda lake and easily accessible by bus. (20 mins)
Anna & Fabrizio brought us to some great local parties in the neighborhood and we also went to a lovely concert. All Anna's friends and neighbour's were super welcoming and friendly :)
The farm in Trento is very comfortable for staying overnight, make sure to bring plenty of mosquito spray!
We appreciated that Anna planned with us in advance the work we would be doing and was very considerate about time off aswell which was great for us.
All in all, 10/10 experience!

We hard a grate experience with Sofia and her friend Alisa. They were very respectfull and nice, efficent and reliable in the job. Considering the special situation we hard in our new house theywere open and easy going...the best we could have!

Our stay with Anna and Fabrizio was fun and unforgettable. Living together worh them was smooth and Anna gave us lots of healthy and local food. Their house is in a good location and the views are spectacular. She was also flexible with the work given to us, and always making sure we were okay:)

They live in the most gorgeous location in the hills above Riva del Garda, in Tenno and there are great walks around the area to the medieval village of Canale, Tenno Lake and down to Riva del Garda. … read more and organised our tasks, food, transport to and from their house, etc, whereas Fabrizio is the “quiet one” of the couple. The tasks were fine to do and were in their olive groves, vineyard, shedding maize from husks or helping move furniture in the flat that they are renovating. Anna and Fabrizio were really welcoming and although their flat is compact, we had a good sized room, enjoyed delicious home cooked macrobiotic food and were also treated to an evening out with Fabrizio’s extended family at a local pizza restaurant. We could not have asked for a better experience and hope to see them again some time in the future as friends this time! Thank you to Anna and Fabrizio, you are stars and so very hard working!

I stayed with Anna and Fabrizio for about 2 weeks in July and was able to help with a few different tasks involving their vines. The first job I worked on was to "tuck-in" the vines that had escaped the wiring. This made it easier for the leaves
… read more to then be cut off before the grapes were picked. I also helped pick off the leaves and finally, put up protective netting so that the birds did not eat all of the grapes once the leaves were removed.
We worked about 4-5 hours a day, but it was not very difficult work, and I found it to be very meditative, actually. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, with mountains everywhere around you while you work. We would work from about 8:30 - 10:30am, then have a break for a snack, then work again from about 11-12/12:30. We would then break for lunch and to get out of the sun. We would then start working again from about 5 or 6pm - 7pm, once the shade had covered the vines and it was cooler out. During the break I would always go for a refreshing swim in the river, which is just 5 minutes walk!
During the days off I walked to Lago di Tenno, which is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever swam in before, and an absolutely must to visit! I also was able to go for a hike above Lago di Guarda and then spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing by the lake.
Overall, my stay with Anna was incredibly special, and she is so kind and generous, and a fantastic cook! I ate so well, and so much!! The room I stayed in was very spacious and had a double sized bunkbed, which I shared with another volunteer, but there was plenty of space!
I would highly recommend this WorkAway, as you will be able to see many beautiful medieval Italian mountain villages, work a bit, be welcomed into a warm home, and eat proper Italian food!
