Petra is very friendly with an open personality and great sense of humor. Was open to all work and curious to learn about new cultures. Very presice in her work, the mirrors have never been so clean! Unfortunately she coudn't stay longer because we would have loved to have her!

I had a really wonderful time with Flore and Bram, an experience I won’t forget. They always made sure I felt comfortable and are both very warm-hearted people. Whenever I asked if they could drive me to a specific hiking trail, if I could borrow the bike, or anything else, my wishes were always fulfilled. There was always enough food, and often delicious muffins from Flore, who would sometimes prepare a Swedish Fika for us after work. Their dog Suki is super sweet, playful, and loves to cuddle. If you’re an animal lover, that’s definitely a big plus. I could also use the sauna whenever I wanted. We also celebrated midsummer together and had barbecue two times during my stay. The time flew by, and I’m truly grateful for everything. I wish both of you all the best for the future! Yours Verena

David`s boat project is a special place full of friendly people. It was a great experience living the pirate life on board. There was always something exiting going on. We improved the deck, the new mast was in construction and I was taking care of boat Gudrun´s garden. The help did not really feel like work though which was very nice. Also there was time to go for a walk in the forest or in town. In the evenings cardgames were played, we danced or enjoyed the silence of the fjord. Thanks for all these wonderful memories :)

Josha is a gem, always cheerful and does work hard. he loves the machines, streamers or chainsaw, very capable. Detailed preparation work on our wooden boat like sanding and paint stripping. Joins in social activities well and can be left to his own devices. If you can :grab him otherwise we will have him back. All the best Josha !

I can't even express how special this place is, and how amazing the hosts are. We had only started our backpacking journey a week before coming to volunteer here for 2 weeks, and it was the most incredible/heartbreaking way to start our journey. We made friends for life and at the end of our 2 weeks it felt like leaving our home and family behind. If it hadn't been for the fact we still had so much travelling ahead of us, we 1000% would have extended. I can't imagine Chiang Rai without this hostel, and I already know I'll be back again in future. For other workawayers, seriously, don't pass on this place! We had so much free time to socialize with the guests/volunteers and explore, and even when you're on shift you're having a great time with the people who you see around the hostel. Gerald ist ein supernetter Typ, sehr vertrauens bewusst , hilfsbereit, freundlich und easy going - also locker . Obwohl ich für einige Zeit nicht hier war, dafür aber eine Freundin- lief alles ganz nach Plan . Die Esel wurden gut versorgt , die Pflanzen gegossen, Gerald hat auch arbeitsmäßig eigene Ideen mit eingebracht . Du kannst gern mal wieder vorbei schauen !😄 Ich wünsche Dir viele schöne neue Erfahrungen .

Ecsia is such a special girl! We had a lot of fun during the weeks she spent with us. She is very open minded, eager to learn and discover the world. Always singing and playin the ukelele and having fun with everybody, She is a sweet person and it was very nice to have her company and help.

We have had great time with Lola and Zsofi while they were here. They are young, smart, great energy, and always open to help. They are a good asset for your team. They work hard and with a smile at every time. We strongly recommend both of them!

Nico and Mel are great, funny and open minded people, with a lot of experience behind them and open to sharing their knowledge. We had a really good time in their place, the food was very nice and abundant. The amount of work is fair, we helped with insulation and some gardening. In the afternoon you will have plenty of time to discover the surrounding areas. Moving around without a car is not so easy but hitchhiking is common in the area so you can still reach different places without a vehicle. In their house you feel welcomed. Thanks for hosting us : )

We hosted Leonie for a month and our experience was excellent. She is smart, active, and not afraid to heavy duties. We had a great time and she was always in good predisposition to help us with the babies or any chore. We highly recommend her to be part of your team! She is welcome to come back to our house any time she wants!

Olga is a very special person! Beautiful energy and so mature being also very young. We stayed with us a month and we had great conversations and moments. She is smart, open minded, aware, kind, caring, and alert to the needs of people around her. We would recommend her 100% to anyone who has the opportunity to get to know her. We truly desire to host her again in the future!

Oh so lovely to have Sabine and Eprhaim in our campsite. Such a lovely couple. They both helped us so much. They are precise and easy to comminicate. They both understood tasks very well and the common sense of the dynamic on the campsite which was really a great help for us. Sabine and Ephraim they are also very knowledgeable people and we enjoyed sharing ecperiences and nice talks too. We enjoyed their company so much! Thank you again and wish you all the best in your journey!

Cinzia and her friends, family and animals were exceptional. So welcoming, hospitable, generous. Just gorgeous. I will remember experience forever. Thank you Cinzia, Ugo, Sharon, Federico, Albi and Silvia for an authentic experience, incredible food and for helping me learn more about your life in the mountains. I was sorry to leave and hope to return.

anna came to us in february and has been here until june. have booked her for the next season already. february-june. was only supposed to stay until the beginning of may, she is easy on the feet if you ask for extra months, is hardworking, keeps the workplace tidy and around her. works well in a team with workers on site and customers. works efficiently and thoroughly. works at 2 speeds, normal speed and really fast, it depends on how much there is to do. was supposed to work 5-6 hours a day, but there was no problem with a 10 hour day if you asked her. i recommend anna if you want someone who completes the job, is efficient and energetic.

Marjoline Oasis is the perfect place if you're looking for peace, nature, and meaningful experiences. Surrounded by woods and her lovely animals, Marjoline quickly found a place in our hearts. She's an inspiring person who shared with us her dream of living in a self-sufficient way and taught us so much — from caring for animals to useful skills and everyday life on the farm. When it comes to work, she's always kind, patient, and flexible. She's available to explain tasks clearly and often switches activities to keep things balanced and enjoyable. And her cooking? Simply amazing! Every day we had tasty meals, plus homemade jam and juice for breakfast. After each meal, we shared long conversations about all kinds of topics — always laughing, sharing our ideas We truly can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Marjoline!

It’s already been a few months since I worked in the olive fields with Claire and Alexandros, but I still think back on it now and then, as it was such a great Workaway experience! They were wonderful hosts: clear in their communication, organized, and very welcoming. The fieldwork was physically demanding at times, but the delicious lunches and coffee breaks with home cooked Greek food, as well as the interesting cultural exchange, made it even more rewarding! Thank you Claire & Alexandros for being wonderful hosts. ... And for anyone considering it, I would highly recommend this Workaway!

Amal and Nina were very friendly and warmly welcomed me. There is a beach right next to the house and it is surrounded by nature. Amal cooked very delicious moroccan food everyday. Nina likes japanese movies and we watched together :) Helping with home schooling was fun and I was able to experience a lot of things. Thank you so much!! Arigato!

It's always wonderful at Laurence's. Among other things, we work in the garden, sow vegetables, remove weeds, mow the lawn, make wood and much more. We cook exclusively with wood, there is a compost toilet and an outdoor shower. We pay a lot of attention to the environment, food is not thrown away here and we try to recycle everything. We eat together three times a day, go hiking on our days off, collect mushrooms or wild garlic, depending on the season. It's a real life together with give and take. Laurence is a fascinating woman, she knows a lot, is very handy and is happy to pass on her experience and knowledge. I have been going here for about 8 years and love it! Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet, unwind, meet new people, learn new skills and much more. See you soon :) (I hope the translation is right) Chez Laurence, c'est toujours magnifique. Ici, on travaille notamment dans le jardin, on sème des légumes, on enlève les mauvaises herbes, on tond le gazon, on fait du bois et bien d'autres choses encore. Nous cuisinons exclusivement au bois, il y a des toilettes à compost et une douche extérieure. On fait très attention à l'environnement, on ne jette pas la nourriture ici et on essaie de tout recycler. Nous mangeons ensemble trois fois par jour, nous allons nous promener pendant nos jours de congé, cueillir des champignons ou de l'ail des ours, selon la saison. C'est une vraie cohabitation où l'on donne et l'on reçoit. Laurence est une femme fascinante, elle sait beaucoup de choses, est très habile de ses mains et aime transmettre son expérience et ses connaissances. J'y vais depuis environ 8 ans et j'adore ça ! Ici, on peut profiter du calme, se détendre, rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, apprendre de nouvelles compétences et bien plus encore. A bientôt :)

Derryn was a great help and friend to us during her stay. She adapted very quickly our lifestyle and got used to all our different animals. We felt safe at all times leaving the animals in her hands and could see how Derryn was growing constantly on her tasks. Additionally we had a great time personally, when we spend our time all together. Thanks you, Derryn, for your stay and help!

Me and my son enjoyed our stay in this little community and we received many blessings. The work in the garden was nice, the food prepared fresh from the garden was delicious and we were able to go to the nearby river and to the beach in our free time. Our hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed the silence and the pigs in the forest:-)! We are very very grateful that they welcomed us as a small family and shared their life with us!
