Everything was perfect and I really felt good and like at home in Caspar's familly. The place is amazing with wonderful views on the mountains and helping in his farm was for me a very good experience. I loved all the things I did (repairing, harvesting vegetables, cooking, spending time with the family, with his two lovely daughters and exploring the surroundings with his father). I wish I will be able to come back to visit them again! :) Thank you very much for this wonderful week.

Jaydee is one of those magical people who brightens up any room she enters. She had us all in stitches from the moment she arrived! All my friends were blown away by her friendliness, charm, and goofy humor. We had a blast! I’ll especially miss all the bizarre exercise videos she got everyone in the house doing. We all felt healthier and happier with her in the house. As a volunteer, she was very kind and conscientious and happy to help with any of our projects. I also found her very easy to communicate with. Also, if you’re preferring a volunteer who speaks Japanese well, she’s got great speaking and reading as well. She was also very sweet and generous with her time, spending her off time playing with my kids and offering to help out, painting together or dancing together. All around she’s an incredibly lovely person and I’d definitely recommend her!

India and Alessia stayed with us for two weeks during the off‑season. They were excellent guests—responsible, respectful, and very thorough in all their tasks. They took care of the animals, and together we engaged in garden work such as woodchipping and clearing branches, as well as cleaning the chicken house. They approached each activity with care and energy. They were also very active in exploring the nearby area through hiking trails whenever the weather was good. They were kind, pleasant to have around, and very easy to communicate with. I wholeheartedly recommend India and Alessia to any future hosts.

Rose, Janik, Noah, Manu, Keelya, Lill, Mowgli, and Bagheera🤍 thank you all for such an amazing and welcoming experience in Switzerland! If you are looking for a kind, welcoming and truly fulfilling Workaway experience, this is the place to go. While here I weeded the yard, took Lilli on walks, helped paint their camper-van, and spent beautiful evenings chatting and laughing with this amazing family. From the moment I got here, I felt I was part of their family. I was beyond nervous for my first Workaway but this experience exceeded any expectations or fears I had beginning my travels. Lilli is a sweet and easy going dog and the cats, despite my allergies, are so loving. Noah, who lives here as well, became a cherished friend as worked along side each other most of the time. Janik and Rose, though they worked throughout the day, always found time to include me in their routine. Additionally, Manu and Keelya, despite living separately, also became great friends of mine over many meals and outings. Their home is just a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride to the city if you’re looking to explore Biel. There’s a beautiful lake nearby as well as some really great hiking trails if you’re coming for nature. This is a must have experience so do not hesitate to contact Rose as her communication and kindness are some of her best qualities 💖 I have so much love for this family and my experience with them will forever be cherished. I will definitely be coming back!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying with this family. From the very first moment, they welcomed me with genuine warmth and made me feel like a true part of their home. Their kindness, patience, and openness created an atmosphere where I felt safe, appreciated, and included. My main tasks were helping with their dog Sam — a very sweet and funny dog — doing some garden work, and occasionally assisting in the kitchen when I felt like it. The working hours were fair, and Francesca was very flexible with scheduling. Thanks to her understanding, I could sometimes work a full day and then take the next day off to visit places like Ferrara or Ravenna. I stayed in one of the rooms of their BnB, which offered plenty of privacy while still allowing me to join the family whenever I wished. Meals were shared with the family (Alberto is an excellent cook!), except when I spent the day exploring a city. Beyond the practical side, the family truly made my stay special. I always felt comfortable in their home, and spending time together — talking about history, culture, or playing board games — was a real highlight. They were incredibly patient with my Italian and always took the time to speak with me, even when I struggled to express myself. This meant a lot and made the whole experience even more enriching. I would wholeheartedly recommend this host to any Workawayer: well-organized, respectful, and genuinely kind people. A very positive and memorable experience!

Aidan was here for roughly 4 weeks in Oct & Nov 2025 He is a pleasant man, very attentive, friendly and always there to give a helping hand. He assisted with gardening (the never ending weeding...) clearing roads and hiking trails, cleaning our guest cottages and campsite. He also farm-sat while I was guiding in the mountains for a week and then some. Cooking is another one of his qualities as well as great conversations and socialising with the the "team". In short he's welcome ANYTIME! ...and I'll looking forward to visit him in Canada 2027! Regards Jurgen

Being part of the world she has created genuinely has the power to change your life and I mean that wholeheartedly. I miss it every single day!!! I was able to work, continue my studies, explore the country, and build a little life of my own in Poland - all with complete freedom. The accommodation is cozy and truly feels like home. You’re given the choice to fully immerse yourself in family life or to reconnect with yourself if that feels more comfortable. There is absolutely no pressure, only encouragement, kindness, and respect. Marta leads with love, empowerment, and authenticity and that energy follows her everywhere: through the village, into the school, across the companies, within her family and even into the most unexpected moments!! And you can always trust her to find a parking spot!! You will learn so much while you are teaching, reconnect with your inner child, design your lessons freely, meet incredible people, and wake up every morning with genuine purpose and joy. You become apart of a great team whilst leading your own little community, building rapport has never been so easy with such amazing people, role models and students. It was very nice experience. Fredi accepted me in last minute as pervious host canceled in the last minute. I stayed only ten days but it was really nice. End of November where evenings were cold but to make to heat up the house was great. The work was not hard and animals were really to look after. Fredi always made sure that I have sufficient food. This place is only for nature and animal lovers. Lot of places to hike. Thank you Fredi

We have been by Dana for only two Days, because Darja was very cold. We got welcomed very kind and warm from Dana she picked up us at the Busstation. When we arrived at her Place she makes room for us in a separate Room in the House. We talked a lot and had a lot of fun. At the short therm we stayed I was able to fix the rain tube from her roof with Dana together. We cooked and ate every meal together which was really good food and especially the sour dough! We also had time and picked up some olives and pomegranates which she gave us as a snack for our way back to Malaga! She is a very honest and kind person. She has a real big knowledge about history and philosophy and gifted me a book about philosophy, where im be really grateful for it. She was also very Happy that I was able to help her and here I felt that we helped someone for a good reason. So if anyone is ready to help than this is the right address to do it. Thanks for having us there and hopefully see you next time on the warmer days!

I can’t even begin to thank John and Sarah for hosting me this olive season, it was an unforgettable experience. This was my first workaway and I don’t think I could have chosen a better, more welcoming place to volunteer at. John and Sarah are both incredibly kind, hospitable and knowledgable people, not to mention funny, get ready for Johns endless dad jokes and Sarah’s biting wit. The work wasn’t too intensive, there was always something to keep me busy even outside of the olives, whether it was chopping up logs into firewood or helping Sarah out in the kitchen, (not that she needs it, she’s an incredible cook), I would highly recommend John, Sarah, Shep and the kittens at Cortijo de la Plata for anybody who wants to spend a few weeks doing honest rewarding work and meeting some great people while they’re at it. I’ll definitely be back to visit in the future and i wish all happiness and success to both John and Sarah and any of the wise volunteers that choose to spend some time here, thanks again guys 👌

For my first Workaway experience, I spent two weeks with Marius and his lovely family. I'm so glad I made some new friends. Marius is a generous man who will introduce you to local life and the culinary delights of his country. I can't wait to go back !

What a beautiful week we had with Tara and his wife Anjana in this little village, where we discovered the essence of true Nepalese life! 🇳🇵✨ Thank you Tara, you are not only an experienced and welcoming host, but truly a wonderful human being! And both you and Anjana are such incredibly hard-working people 🙏 yet you still found the time to care for us and make us feel at home. Tara organized and joined us on an unforgettable jungle tour 🌿🦏 where, very luckily, we saw two rhinos up close. We also enjoyed a spectacular sunset trip 🌅 and a stunning visit to 20,000 Lake . His trusted tuk-tuk driver was also very kind! During our stay, we helped in the garden and the kitchen 🌱🍲, walked Oskar the dog, who warmed up to us within days, and taught a few classes at the school where Tara works. What a joy it was to meet those enthusiastic kids! 📚 With Tara’s guidance, we even helped raise some funds for the school, and it filled our hearts to see how many children benefited from it! ❤️ We each had a bike to explore the surrounding villages, taking in the unique and peaceful landscapes 🌾 Thank you for the hospitality, the delicious food, the beautiful places, and above all your warm hearts 💕
