What a beee-autiful surprise this workawayer turned out to Bee! Yes, this honey combed her way through my garden weeds, made meals that tasted like nectar, flew through jobs and tasks, used her hive mind to anticipate my needs and kept my ‘brood’ of one cat fed and happy in my extended absence from the hive/home. Orin was a pleasure to host and has beeeen a great worker in our team efforts. Already skilled in many aspects and competent in tackling something new, Orin showed me she had more untapped talents in painting and construction and property management. A host will not bee disappointed in allowing this workawayer to make a beeline to the door!

Rie is a such a warm and kind person who wants to go the extra mile for visitors and to share beautiful experiences together. Her family is also very sweet and welcoming. I admire her goals and dedication very much. I am so glad that she welcomed me to contribute to the projects. The activities are very well balanced between focused work and relaxation/sightseeing and you can join amazing trampoline lessons given by Rie! The nature around Mamihara is so beautiful and the town is very cozy. I really look forward to return. I think back about Mamihara with a lot of joy and good memories, I felt at home and I could be myself. Thank you so much Rie, hope to see you soon!

It's a pleasurable have both of them here. They blend into our life as a family very well in no time. They take their duties seriously as are at home. They are fast learner neat and tidy. During their stay, we do exchange culture and islamic view. They taste the Malay Cruising and loving it. They also make friends with those whom they bought food from and memories to keep. Not forgetting they cooki Spanish food for us to exprience and it was so goood 😁. have both of them here. They blend into our life as a family very well in no time. Linda and Ian are excellent hosts. They made us feel very welcome, with a room of impeccable comfort and a magnificent garden in which to have breakfast. Linda cooks very well and it's a pleasure to discover her vegan recipes. Their grandchildren, Jackson and Yoko, are also adorable. A great experience that I highly recommend to discover a very committed, very interesting and very nice couple.

L'esperienza nel complesso é stata fantastica e veramente unica. Il lavoro richiesto varia a seconda di ció che Javier e Liz vedono tu riesci a fare, non richiedono mai sforzi sovrumani e sono sempre disponibili. Javier é una persona davvero speciale, con una storia molto interessante e un carattere forte. Il suo principale obiettivo é coltivare il cacao quindi alcune volte ci ha chiesto aiuto nel raccogliere il cacao stesso, altre volte ci ha chiesto aiuto per lavori piu semplici (comunque fisici e ovviamente faticosi, anche dovuti per il caldo e l'elevata umidità) per progetti futuri. Non pretende mai nulla di sforzi fisici, ma sempre di stare bene e godersi tutto. Ci ha insegnato davvero molto nel cacao, ma anche nelle piante che potevamo trovate girando per il suo terreno, come per gli animali. Passando del tempo a chiacchierare abbiamo imparato moltissimo anche grazie ai suoi racconti di vita e consigli. Liz é una mamma a tutti gli effetti. Essendo italiani abbiamo avuto delle piccole difficoltà alimentari (mal di stomaco e diarrea) a causa della differente acqua che si puo bere normalmente in europa (ovviamente non sono problemi dovuti a loro, ma solamente ad abitudine di ognuno di noi, infatti dopo una settimana non abbiamo piu avuto problemi); appena detto a Liz si é subito premurata di preparare del the con erbe e spezie che possano aiutare l'intestino e non ha avuto problemi alla richiesta di mangiare un po di meno o non mangiare del cibo fritto. I suoi piatti sono sempre stati ricchissimi sia in quantitá che in qualità, come anche le sue limonate sempre gustosissime. Spesso nei pomeriggi ci ha coinvolto in sue idee creative per abbellire la finca con disegni e pitture varie. La zona é qualcosa di unico, si ammirano paesaggi davvero mozzafiato, e la possibilità che ci hanno dato di poter vivere in quell'ambiente é davvero spaziale. (siamo stati li per tre settimane, consigliate non di meno di tre settimane)

Our experience was overall a 5/5 experience. We stayed there for a week and worked six days. Some days we helped with decorating the place, but most of the days we had to carry rocks for building a bridge. It was hard physical work, but if we needed breaks or even to stop for the day, we were always able to do that. They are very flexible with that, which is very comfortable. The place is wonderful and in the middle of the traditional Vietnamese farming community. There are small shops and beautiful small roads around the rice fields. You can go to a local market on Sundays or a Chinese barbecue with the family and the other workawayers, or you can go for a hike in the mountains. There is the most beautiful little waterfall where we took a swim almost every day. It’s a 5-10 minute walk. If you love the calm and quiet in the subtropical nature, then it’s the perfect place for you. The family is nice and friendly. The communication was most of the time pretty good, but there is some of the people that doesn’t understand English that well. We slept in the traditional farmhouse where you sleep in an open cabin. They have nets around the bed and blankets to keep it private. It’s again a great way of sleeping in the traditional treehouse. Just remember some warm clothes for the colder nights. The food they made for us was some of the best Vietnamese foods we tried. They cooked different food every day. They are great cooks and if you have the possibility to try the restaurant you should definitely check it out. We wish the best for the family and hope to come back one day. It was an absolute pleasure to have Emilie stay. I was so grateful for the extra pair of hands around the house and we were able to put some energy into the garden. There were many seedlings & plants (flowers & veggies) to plant and tend to with daily watering. We also made a dent on the weeding! Inside Emilie was super helpful with cleaning and even prepared some easy to freeze toddler snacks to grab on the run for going out and about. When I suddenly had to go away for a few days I was completely at ease to leave her here on her own and was comforted that all the space would be looked after. It was lovely to share a snippet of our lives & fortuitous there was a local festival, opened by an indigenous smoking ceremony. I was very touched by some photos she took of me & my daughter at our local swimming spot. It was also super heartening that she took a keen interest & read a sustainable living/ gardening book of mine. Emilie is very easy to be around & my daughter was so happy in her presence, and grateful for the time spent together.

I went to AHAH with zero expectations and leaving with hard goodbye, new friends and lots of positive vibes. Staff is super nice, everybody is taking care about wellbeing and komunity life just work here. One thing says it all... People are comming here for a week or two, and then stay for a months. Is there a better review than the fact, that volunteers just feel awesome here??

The experience of my life from far ! The family was incredibly understandfull with me and so patient. I really felt myself involved among them. Marika is a big hard worker. She does so much for her job, her family, her friends and she put all her energy for you. She is very attentive to you and understand you very good about your feelings and she'll adapt her fast speaking to slower speak if it's necessary. She is very young but very aware of what life is. She give you all the Joy she has and she helps you to do the things goodly. Thanks for all what I learned about mapple, drill holes to the right depth, push the tap in so that it's firmly seated, recognize the trees you can harvest by their diameter, more about how to boil it, more and more and more... She is an amazing cooker, i had the best meal in all Manitoba for sure. The dogs and the cats are so cute and they give you all the love at any time. I could assist to some fights between cats that made me more and more respectful about their own martial art if I can express the thing in that way. I met some very good guy marika's friend. I discovered Winnipeg and i had the opportunity to know the uncle and the aunt of Marika which they was probably the kindly person I met in all my trip. You know the kindness reputation of canadian ? You have the answer when you meet them. In the yard you can play with the dogs and the cats for sure and you can also observe the magical sky with all the stars and shooting stars. I could visit the huge human right museum too, which is very nicely done. The real countryside is there (where they lived ) and you breathe all you need, the nature and the love that the family passes on. this experience built me up for the rest of my life i'm sure. So big thank you for all the understanding and trust Marika and her parents have shown me. The bread we ate around the fire so sweet with some jam or chocolate was more than a good taste, the walk around sandy lake, the shrek theatre aha, the experience with the fire department team, the chair that was in the yard which that was a collateral project but incredibly fun and with a lot of sense to me. We did some video game, i felt like a kid with all the things a kid need to be happy. One thing to be sure with, it's Marika will be adaptive with you, she'll propose you some jobs that you can be able to make of what she see through you. She's the best manager i had until today i write this lines and still is. I found so much virtue in this family, this expenrience really unique. I still storytell about people in my country about this experience and this family and whether is friends or people i don't know, all tell me that is dream to sell this way of life. So be sure to visit them because this is important for yourself buddy.

La comunicación con Macarena fue muy buena en todo momento a pesar de que ella no se situaba en Sauce. Willer, la persona encarfada de la finca es un gran conocedor del lugar y de quién se puede aprender muchonsobre cultivos, la vida rural en la selva. Trabajé con él una semana ya que tenía otros planes pero me quedé con ganas de poder estar más tiempo, es un lugar lleno de paz, con dos caballos y un precioso gatito. Muy recomendable

Donna & Barry became family and I miss them already. Planning to come back in the new year because I built such a special bond with these people. The work is more than fair, fun and balanced. If you have skills or a love and desire for a particular thing your skills will not go unnoticed. The area is silly beautiful. Hikes straight into the forest and mountains behind their property. I really recommend people spend at least a couple weeks here so you can really find your place. You can truly, truly be yourself with Barry and Donna and I respected that so so much. I will miss listening to records with purpose with Barry. Teaching Donna's class how to play cricket at the local school . You will adore all the pets as well. It's amazing hearing and seeing a live guardian dog in action. Highly, highly recommend this workaway!

Joyeux, généreux et tranquille, voilà comment nous pouvons résumer notre séjour sur l’île, à l’image de nos hôtes finalement ! Nous avons passé 15 jours chez Colette et Ollivier, juste le temps pour nous de faire le tour de l’île (en stop) et d’apprécier le rythme paisible des Marie-Galantais. Merci à Colette pour sa bonne humeur quotidienne, ses petites attentions comme la découverte du jus de carambole au petit déjeuner, la séance de yoga dans un lieu sublime… Merci à Ollivier pour son humour piquant dès le réveil, l’adaptabilité dans les tâches de travail, la sortie en mer… On ne peut que recommander ce séjour. Nous nous sommes sentis chanceux d’avoir été accueillis avec autant de spontanéité, de curiosité, qui plus est dans un lieu magnifique (plages paradisiaques à moins de 10min en voiture et bungalow top confort)!

we had a really really nice time with Aarya, Deepika and Kirti. They are so friendly and know a lot about Ayurveda. We felt really welcomed and played so much with Aarya. She knows English so well and we had a lot of fun with her. We had the chance to go to Agra, Taj Mahal during our visit too, which was really nice of them!

I stayed with this family for about 2.5 weeks, and wow. I learned so much and it was incredible to feel as though I was contributing to the foundations of what will soon be an incredible meditation and health centre once construction is complete. Raman and Rabia are very caring and kind. They took every measure to make sure that I was comfortable and happy. Raman was so generous with his teachings of meditation, spirituality and reiki. Uncle Dalip was a real standout for me as we formed a real bond and he taught me so much about Naturopathy and health. The work can be strenuous on some days, but I felt it was balanced out because you'd likely do some less strenuous days inbetween. I was sick towards the end of my stay, and everyone was kind enough to allow me rest for a few days. This is definitely a good place for deepening ones meditation practice and being connected with nature. The farm is beautiful, and there is abundant fruit and herbs growing there. Thank you to everyone at Anand Gram for inviting me to be a part of the family. I would love to come back and see the farm again in a few years!

Amy is very gentle and humble. She is a holistic girl with very nice energy. She helped in various kind of task like social media,farm work,kitchan work. I strongly recommend her.

I booked in for 2 weeks, stayed for many more and had a thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable stay. Sarah is a kind a nd considerate host, a great cook, and always positive and energetic. She has many great ideas for the property to create the self-sufficient lifestyle she wants. The house is comfortable and peaceful, the 2 cats friendly and entertaining. Benalla (a moderate sized town) is walking distance away (just!) and on the Melbourne/Sydney rail line. There are many projects to do, plus plenty of maintenance tasks, so if you are looking to experience rural Victoria and help someone achieve a dream, then this is the place to visit. I certanly look forward to returning next year.

¿Cómo describir a este señor? Han pasado ya unas semanas desde que se fue, y todavía lo extraño. Daniel tiene una energía increíble. Cada mañana, al levantarme, sabía que el día comenzaría con risas y bromas. Era como si lo conociera de antes; había esa conexión especial y la confianza para hablar de todo, desde ideas para mejorar el proyecto hasta temas profundos de la vida. Con Daniel siento que gané no solo un amigo, sino quizás un hermano, si la vida nos lo permite. Su conocimiento sobre la vida al aire libre y su amor por la naturaleza lo hacen perfecto para un proyecto como este. Y más allá de eso, es una persona que se adapta con facilidad a cualquier situación gracias a su inteligencia y sensibilidad. Es difícil poner en palabras todo lo que compartimos y aprendimos juntos. Lo que puedo decir con certeza es que, si algún día tienes la oportunidad de conocer a Daniel, no la dejes pasar. Y Daniel, querido amigo, no lo olvides: ¡escucha siempre a tu madre! ;)

Daniel and Nora This pair are 'Pocket Rockets'. Give them a job and they will tackle it with enthusiasm. They are not phased with early start times. Daniel in the kitchen is a treat. Their maturity is way beyond their birth-ages. Their capability and sensitivity to the household and its occupants is respectful and engaging. One's house is 'safe' in their hands. I would happily adopt Daniel and Nora, which is the highest compliment I can give them. And didn't I get a surprise when both Daniel and Nora did some work on the computer, and set up social media and scheduled posts for a voluntary organisation I am involved with. I adore them and appreciate both Daniel and Nora very much and am missing their gentle souls in my household.

Two amazing guys, super relax and friendly , they cook really nice dishes for us and we share a really good time take care guys and see you arround :)
