He is very good with social media, beautiful videos, excellent work, he would help any host who needs it, in addition he is willing to do other tasks, the subject he knows well is social media.

My 10 days with Eleda was super special and she is family now. Finding a duckling, adventures with doggys, working the land, sharing meals, stories & crafting together i was immersed in our experience also, it was really special for sure. We miss her already and hope to see her here again soon! Xx

My time with Lou was so special and amazing! We had quite the adventure in all the best ways. Regardless of anything that happened Lou and I were always having a good laugh and making the most of the situation. I am so grateful for my time with Lou and will definitely be back 💗

Claus and Eva are such wonderful people! We had an absolutely amazing time together, and I truly enjoyed every moment we shared. This was only our 2nd Workaway and we had a great experience staying with this family and their many animals. We loved running around the hills with the dogs and getting to see real Kiwi life. Kev & Sophie were lovely and we were happy to get stuck in with the vast list of tasks that needed doing on such a big project. All tasks were well explained and was great to do tasks we hadn’t done before. Andy especially loved building the picnic table and we appreciated this task when it was rainy. The accommodation you stay in is really nice and really warm and Sophie is very good at cooking. We would highly recommend.

Gislene was with us for little less than two weeks in September. We enjoyed her presence, her joyfulness and for always being ready to help. She was a big help in the household and the garden. Thank you for introducing us to dance meditation which made us feel more connected and present :D Welcome back anytime and wishing you all the best

,,Time is running out for me to leave feedback‘‘…as I got this message I started thinking about my exchange time here, and remembered how helpful it was to read about others experiences and get a feel of this place! So I want to do so for future guests as well! I truly wish everyone could have the chance of spending some time in this wonderful place, with these wonderful people! Even though I had just finished school and this was my first big trip, Mark, Christine, Berthold and everyone I met, made me feel welcome and trusted me with tasks! I enjoyed being independent and structuring some days myself, while also being given tasks to help out with! There is so much to explore, so many people to meet and so much fun and inspiring moments to take in when you come here! I enjoyed every second and still think about everything I experienced and learned while staying here…it’s hard to summen it all up in one message - but maybe it doesn’t have to be! Everyone will make their own special experiences here, I am sure of that! The time here will never be forgotten!

Jack and I so enjoyed our conversations and learnings with Leah’s visit. She is super intelligent and so so skilled at the things she does. We appreciated her attention to detail, willingness to learn and just general gung-ho appreciation of what we are trying to accomplish in the gardens. Since she had her own vehicle, she was able to take excursions around the beautiful nature here and explore. We enjoyed hosting Leah’s friend, Chad, for a visit and learning from his homesteading experiences. We did a lot of healthy and delicious cooking together and herb preserving. Also, we enjoyed a sweetgrass braiding session in the garden! We have such fond memories and appreciated all her abundant helpfulness. The gardens are absolutely amazing after all her hard work.

Paul was an amazing guest at my home! My puppies were loved and cared for, I got cute video reports on them frequently, and he left us some farewell gifts! Great experience overall on my end.

Jonathan was a pleasure to host. He looked after our dog Marine when we were away and communicated with us daily. He even made a delicious cake on our return

Charlotte is an amazing person and a super volunteer. We were chestnut harvesting for most of her stay, but she also took over our neglected veg garden and rejuvenated it with vigour and great initiative. No task was too long, dirty or physical for her, she has a wealth of experience and got stuck into loads of things here. In addition Charlotte was always the first up in the morning, clearing the kitchen from the night before, prepping for the pancakes, cleaning up after lunch, lighting the fire .... I feel I could have left the place with Charlotte in charge and I would have found a better place on my return. Cannot recommend charlotte highly enough in any community situation, voluntary or otherwise.

What a wonderful time I had with Lilly and her husband Ivan. I stayed there for two weeks in October and it was very lovely. Lilly's place is in the middle of the forest close to Karlovac. It felt so good and peaceful to be surrounded by such a preserved nature. Given that I was the only Workawayer during my first week, I stayed at Lilly's house (with my own room and bathroom). During the weekend we had an amazing time by the seaside where her husband Ivan works. This place is stunning. We could even swim in the sea on October 18th !!! It was also so interesting to talk with Ivan. We had so many deep talks. On the second week, I moved to their other house a few kilometers away, with another Workawayer. We also had a very good time there, organizing our days as we wanted, making fire, cooking, talking about our country... If you are wondering what to expect there, basically it will be staying in a beautiful countryside while having nice walks in the forest picking up mushrooms with Lilly (that she will then cook in a very delicious way!). I also loved talking around the fire with Lilly about religion, France, Croatia, history and so on. Her cats were also so cute. They always wanted to be cuddled. As a cat lover, it was pure happiness for me. About the help, I helped cleaning the house and the car, cooking, sanding chairs, making apple chips, selling stuff in a kind of yard sale, going to the forest to find mushrooms and chestnuts. Lilly always adapted the work according to the weather and abilities of each Workawayer. It didn't really feel like working but more like taking care of the place and giving a hand as I would do it at home. To put it in a nutshell, if you look for something simple in a quiet and peaceful place, in the middle of nature, and want to spend time with very kind and lovely people, Lilly's place is exactly like this. I really felt like home there. Thank you so so much Lilly and Ivan for your hospitality. I miss you already. Wish you the best !

Clare, Paul, and Tadhg were incredibly welcoming and helpful right from the start. They offered for me to arrive a few days early so I could settle in, get to know everyone, and bond with their fun, affectionate dogs and the cat. It also gave me plenty of time to get familiar with the small daily routines around the house and garden. ​A few personal highlights of my stay: ​Walking the dogs right by the sea and through the park. ​Since I enjoy running, Clare invited me to join a local parkrun, which made me feel right at home and truly integrated. ​Paul, who is a professional tour guide, generously showed me his beloved Dublin and shared fascinating insights into Irish history along the way. ​Enjoying meals together, having great conversations about our experiences, and exploring nearby woods and surrounding areas together with the dogs. ​My accommodation was great: I had a very cozy, lovely room with its own bathroom, and there was plenty of space to park my camper van on the property. My tasks were simply feeding the animals in the morning, going for walks, doing a shorter afternoon loop through the park, and keeping the house neat and clean—all straightforward and a genuine pleasure to do. ​Looking back through my photos just now brought back so many great memories. It was truly a fantastic experience that left a lasting impression. I sincerely hope our paths cross again someday. ​Thank you so much for everything, Clare, Paul, and Tadhg! ​All the best, Michael

I had a wonderful time with Sophie and Ant in West Vancouver - they are such kind, welcoming and funny people and I felt at home right away! Disco is the sweetest dog with a lovely temperament and is so well behaved. They care for him really well and I had so much fun walking him around the local area - I'm missing him already! The work was really fair and well explained, Sophie was always really flexible with hours and clear with days off, so there was plenty of time to explore the local area and you felt you had a lot of freedom too. They also had great suggestions for activities to do around Vancouver and further afield, and were just lovely people to stay with. They included me in their thanksgiving day which was my first Canadian thanksgiving and so much fun! Overall I had the best month with them and am so grateful for them having me to stay - I would really recommend them as hosts :) Thank you so much Sophie and Ant!

Philipp war 3 Wochen bei uns und wir hatten eine sehr gute gemeinsame Zeit. Philipp war jeden Morgen motiviert und hat sich super auf all unsere kleinen verschiedenen Baustellen eingelassen. Jochen und Philipp hatten einen guten Austausch und wir hatten auch immer wieder schöne gemeinsame Gespräche und Momente. I can say the overall experience met my personal expectations. Meaning I got to do some challenging and physical work that made me genuinely feel like I was contributing and helping at the shelter to my best ability. Although the timing was a bit stressful at the start, I think we were able to build a great dynamic with Anke, and I adapted to the routines relatively quickly. Anke is straightforward and work-oriented in a way that I respect a lot, and she is genuinely passionate and committed to the animals. But since you're quite literally surrounded by them, this also means you must abide by the house rules, which I want to leave as the main takeaway for other Workawayers considering volunteering here. The more I understood the house rules and routines, the better the experience became, since they exist there for a good reason. Overall, as a person who loves routines and is a morning-person, this was quite frankly the ideal place for such. Having set tasks daily, and a schedule to follow suited me well since it doesn't leave you wonder if you're up to anything productive that day. Thereby, I'm grateful this was my first Workaway experience! Hopefully this review gives some realistic yet positively confirming insight for anyone looking into this.

Aoife was a wonderful Workawayer and guest at our place. Her positive energy and enthusiasm about everything was definitely infectious. She made us appreciate our own life even more. She accomplished all jobs that we asked for and sometimes even more. If uncertain, she never hesitated to ask. Aoife just fitted right in with us into our daily lives. We really enjoyed sharing so many stories and interesting perspectives. And especially all the moments of laughter were truly wonderful. Her little dog Ruthie was very well behaved and cute. We will miss you and would love to host you again!
