It was very nice to have Renzo as a Workawayer. He is a very positive person, a quick learner and very flexible. The only reason why we gave 4 and not 5 stars for communication is that he is working very hard on improving his English. :-) Renzo helped us with many different things, and knows how to make a delicious, fresh pizza! We wish him all the best, and who knows we will meet again!

Ann et Martin ont passé 2 semaines au moulin et celà est passé trop vite . Ils ont fait un travail formidable et très utile dans la propriété . Martin a abattu un arbre et élagué beaucoup d'autres ce qui était important pour nous . Ann a beaucoup travaillé dans le jardin : désherbage , nettoyage , cueillette de légumes dans le potager et de fruits dans le verger . Ils ont très courageux , ils ont laissé tout propre en évacuant le résultat de leur travail dans de nombreuses remorques pour la déchetterie . Leur présence était très agréble et nous avons eu des conversations intéressantes sur nos pays respectifs . Nous espérons les revoir au moulin .

I had a very good time for the 5 weeks I past in this hostel. The venue is nice, clean and the garden creates a great atmosphere with the guests. Marina, Victor and their family are lovely and they will do everything to make you feel confortable. About the job, it is simple, clear and you will have free time to enjoy the city. You have the possibility to take some days-off to explore around if you are up to. I recommend it both as volunteer and as a guest.

Marynia is just such a lovely human being. Honestly interested in how people are doing, always caring and perceptive and with so many fascinating stories to share. Their professional skills in photography transformed into two beautiful galleries inside our house and their passion for poetry manifests in now regularly occurring poetry nights. Marynia is good at finding a spot for themselves, at connecting with people and at bringing people together. They are willing and able to contribute to a community in many different ways and if they ever want to visit yours, definitely invite them!

Mieux vaut tard que jamais :D Accueillir Charline, Maïté, leur amie Sabrina (et Joe!) à la maison était comme accueillir des amies. Je me sentais bien en leur présence et elles m'ont été d'une aide précieuse, tant durant leurs heures de travail qu'à la maison en rangeant et nettoyant derrière moi plus vite que leur ombre! Je pouvais leur faire confiance, le travail est sérieux, réfléchi et soigné. Revenez quand vous voulez, pour une semaine, 1 mois, à l'année en coloc... :p

Where should I begin and where should I end? Maybe it’s easier to start with the ending: One month that felt like a week — definitely too short. I’ll be back!!! At Aimee, Kevin, and Anita’s place, you wake up, care for the amazing animals, do your best to distribute cuddles evenly (not easy!), glance at the clock — and it’s already evening. Time flies when you’re surrounded by so much love, laughter, and fluff. I’m incredibly proud to say that my first babysitting experience was with Nova, the sweetest, jumpiest little lamb. I learned so much about all the farm animals — honestly, choosing favorites is impossible. They don’t change daily, they change hourly. Each animal has its own personality, and I’m beyond grateful to have met and cuddled them all (yes, roosters included!). Although I do wonder how I should continue traveling without Odin, Yeti and Peachy. Aimee, thank you for the awesome time, the Doodle lessons, the hilarious facial expressions during board games, and all the unforgettable moments. I’ll try my best to find hosts with drawing skills on my future travels so I can become more competitive in Doodle — and finally draw Peachy in your guestbook! Dear future volunteers: you might find yourself considering a permanent stay at Aimee’s. Please leave a spot open in April for me. Thanks in advance😊

I stayed almost three weeks with Philippa and it has been a wonderful volunteering. Philippa has the true sens of Workaway. She is hospitable, knowledgeable, helpful, flexible and funny. My duties and tasks were flexible between the garden and inside the house. It was various and pleasant. I worked the morning and then I have the afternoon free. She will assure that you feel comfortable of what you do! Thanks to her recommendations, I was even able to improve and repair my van. We had a wonderful dinner with her friends, and good discussions about the news and any topics. I highly recommend Philippa as a host! Thank you very much for this time. Warm regards, Nadège

Matilda is a hard working young women. She always did the jobs with great care and was very accurate. And she showed a lot of initiatif. We loved the talks with Matilda. She is very interested in the things going on in the world. Especially about sustainability. If you have the chance to host Matilda, we would surtainly do so.

Erasmo and Mounir worked with motivation and curiosity. Their stay was very pleasant. They always kept the common areas clean, as well as their room. They were very kind and did not cause any problems. We recommend them!

My time in the house was good. Barbara picked me up from the train station when I arrived and then went grocery shopping with me because I didn't have a rental car there. I really appreciated that. I would have liked more instruction and explanation when it came to house sitting, especially when it came to the topic of gardening. So that we watered the garden together once would have helped me maybe. I was very willing to take care of the garden properly and watered it as I felt good, which in the end was probably not enough. I'm very sorry about that too! The cats are very sweet and easy to care for and I enjoyed their company. The house is also equipped with everything you need. I would definitely recommend a car there. I would still like to thank you for the great time I had there 😊

Shion is a truly lovely person. Kind, helpful, and always cheerful. Thanks to her, we've created a very close-knit group with lots of fun, work, and deep, personal exchanges. I highly recommend her... also because she makes excellent suchi 😉🙏

We had the pleasure to host Naomi and Martin during 3 weeks at our hotel in the desert of Morocco and we recommend them 200%! Super reliable, positive and proactive in all their tasks! 🛖⚒️🌴

Dione has been one of the most dedicated volunteers we have had recently. She worked closely with our marketing team, helping us create videos and even anchoring headshot interviews on different spiritual topics. Being a yoga teacher herself, she understood the rhythm of the ashram quickly and fitted right in. She was always diligent, reliable, and willing to help with other tasks in the ashram whenever needed. We never had any concerns with her commitment, it was an absolute pleasure to have her around. Dione carries a very positive energy, which was felt by both staff and guests. We would be delighted to welcome her back to the ashram anytime in the future. We had a wonderful time at our finca with this great and likeable couple. Time passed far too quickly and we wished it could have lasted longer. Violette and Kiko are an enrichment in many ways. They are likeable, open, have varied interests and a great love for nature and animals (our two cats miss them just as much as we do:-). Both are always highly motivated for any kind of Finca task and they are also very interested in learning and understanding ecological agriculture. Every task was carried out by Violette and Kiko with great care and much enthusiasm. We had a very fun and entertaining time. The two of them have many interesting and funny stories to share, and we had as many engaging conversations as great laughters. It is also a matter of course for Violetta and Kiko to keep the shared spaces clean and spotless. They not only enjoyed the finca, but also visited many other beautiful places on our wonderful island and shared our enthusiasm for them. Thank you very much Vili and Kiko for the fun and inspiring time and for your loving nature. It is a joy to share time with you and we (bi- and quadruped residents) really hope to see you again.

Harish stayed with us for three months as a volunteer and quickly became a valued part of our community. As a Sivananda TTC graduate, he could help us with morning asana classes in addition to helping with the daily tasks of the ashram. We found him to be very positive in his outlook. He got along well with both staff and guests, and we never saw him in conflict with anyone. He was lovely to have around, which added to the good atmosphere here. We would be very happy to host him again in the next season if he is free.

It was my first workaway experience and it was absolutely great! Gian Marco and Elena were really kind and helpfull, also we laughed a lot many times. They have experiences from their workaway stays, everything is very well done for the guest. The house and place is really beautiful. They were very flexible about the stay and work, so I could work a bit more one day and another I could explore one of the cities or anything else i wanted to do. The work is very diverse and it is really good to see how the things are doing. Also seeing them how they work around the house and farm with respect to nature and with passion was really motivating me. It was really great cultural exchange, because they shared a lot of things about their culture, history, language and about points of interest nearby, also they were really courious about my country. The food was very delicious and there was plenty of it. They gave me a lot of ideas for my everyday life. Thank you very much for the stay!

We stayed with Hadassah and Jack for one week in September 2025 and had a truly lovely experience. Their home was warm, welcoming, and they made us feel like part of their household from the moment we arrived. The work involved helping Hadassah in her beautiful garden — transferring mulch, digging up weed mats, pruning, and moving materials around. One of the highlights was when she took us out to explore the nearby native bush; her passion and knowledge about plants and gardening really stood out and made the experience even more special. Hadassah also prepared delicious meals for us everyday, which we really appreciated after a day’s work. We enjoyed spending time with both Hadassah and Jack over dinner. They’re very interesting people with very unique life experiences, and were very willing to share stories with us. Jack was really helpful when we had questions about our car, and he was very generous in sharing his tools with us so we could sort a few things out. We were really grateful for his support. We’d absolutely stay with them again if we’re ever back in the area. Thank you both for a memorable and meaningful week!

This was an absolutely fantastic first Workaway experience in New Zealand! Konny and her family are incredibly warm, generous hosts, and I would highly recommend them. ​I loved working in the garden with Konny, where I learned a lot about NZ plants, and enjoyed helping Stefan with building shelves. The work was balanced and the expectations were clear. ​A major highlight was the food—every meal was delicious! They also went out of their way to help me explore the local outdoors in my free time. Their sweet dogs and sheep were a bonus and made the farm feel so welcoming. ​Thank you, Konny and Stefan, for a truly memorable start to my travels!

I spent a month with the family - it was my first ever Workaway experience and I couldn’t have been luckier! They are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. I immediately felt at home and had everything I needed. Lucia provided amazing Italian meals every day that I was there and all of my responsibilities were clearly explained. The kids are so much fun and all so intelligent - I had the best time playing games with them. The whole family was very patient and encouraging with me when speaking Italian, they have really helped me improve before going back to university.
