This beach location was stunning and otherworldly. The eco-cabañas were amazing and the property really beautiful. I was challenged by the heat and was house-sitting, so it was a contemplative stay. I loved the dog and cat I shared space with! I recommend experiencing the wild and beautiful Mazunte at this workaway!

I had a very good time at the shelter. I liked my hosts a lot, the place in the mountains was so beautiful and the animals so lovely! I was there for almost 2 weeks and my hosts took care about my safe arrival and departure. I think we had a good time and I want to come back somewhen :)

Aaron is a great guy! It was a pleasure to have him at home. He found is place easily with our family, very convenient and pleasant. Whatever you propose him… he’d say YES! Food, activities, work… perfect 👌 He is a very empathetic person, interesting and curious. And always interesting and funny stories!!

To Ozgur the Fifa guy we just wanted to say a huge thanks for all the time and energy you put into volunteering at our school this past month. You were honestly such a great help, and we were really lucky to have you around! The way you connected with the kids and helped them with their English was amazing. You made them feel comfortable, encouraged them to speak up, and kept things fun and relaxed—exactly what they needed. We could totally see how much more confident they became, and that’s all thanks to your support. Everyone here appreciated your positive vibe, and the kids really enjoyed spending time with you. You made learning feel easy and fun, which is not something everyone can do! Thanks again for being part of our little school family, even if it was just for a short time. You really made a difference, and we hope you’ll drop by again sometime—don’t be a stranger! Take care and keep being awesome!.

Martina and Jose are amazing people and made me feel at home instantly. I originally planned on only stay for a month but extended multiple times. If i could, then i'd still be there right now! If you love interacting with people then the work will be super easy and fun. It truly feels like a home away from home, and I can't wait to be back! 10/10

It is a gem architecturally, the host family, and healthy lifestyle.  In my experience, it attracts thoughtful volunteers who are choosing to engage in humble labor in order to have a more grounded travel experience. The work is often varied, but is not always edifying. Some of my favorite shifts were teaching English at the local school one morning, helping with food service for a weekend retreat, and gardening. It's a privilege to get to use the space and take inspiration from it for one's own life from the yoga classes some mornings, talking with the family and as well as local workers, and Sara's vegetarian cooking thrice daily. On days off with the other volunteers, I enjoyed taking a dip in the natural pool, going to the river swimming hole, visiting the town of Anapoima, playing with the dogs, and going for a hike.  It was less hot with fewer mosquitos than I anticipated given it's at 1,000 meters, but at other times of the year it could be warmer and having bug spray is helpful. Perhaps consider bringing a protein-rich snack for the late afternoon that doesn't require a blender.  Thank you, Eyal and Natalia! 

Riho stayed with us for almost three weeks, time in which she helped us to work on the farm and also posting in our social media networks. She is a very nice person, always respectful and keen to help. We also did some sports, visited towns and practiced Aikido. She has interesting ideas and sharing time together is a real culture exchange. Safe travels!

Madoka is an amazing person,you'd be very lucky and your children to know her !!!!i love having her energy around she is very honest,helpful in all kind and all ways!funny and talkative an amazing soul i loved her so much and my daughter too!!!A great workawayer that is there to help honestly.also great job with the kids!!she knows how to communicate with children and have all patience for that.Thank you Madoka welove you so much!!and come back any time :).

Courte expérience de quelques jours à peine car Elia à eu le mal de mer au cours d'une journée un peu houleuse et à préféré se diriger vers de nouvelles aventures plus terrestres. C'est bien dommage car c'est une jeune fille dynamique, intéressante et qui n'avait pas besoin d'être relancé pour se mettre à la tâche.

Megan and faris were the loveliest couple, easy going, friendly and had definite plans for the work they needed doing. we had our own apartment (and they were very respectful of this), right on the river. They told us many interesting facts about Bosnia Herzegovina, even arranging a walking tour of Mostar which is a beautiful city. The Bosnian coffees were fab every morning, and Megan made us traditional dishes for lunch to try. We enjoyed mixing with they're family and friends at a bbq...and the singing!! The dogs are funny and entertaining, Bailey even help us dig!! If you enjoy nature, banter by the river and kittens galore this workaways for you. Thankyou both ❤️

My first Workaway experience — one I’ll remember for the rest of my life. An amazing family and a truly special project! Michiel and Claire welcomed me from day one with so much kindness and respect — it felt like I had known them forever and was already part of the family. Everything was always clean, organized, and done with great care and love. The work was very diverse: from gardening to breaking down walls and chimneys. But we were always well guided by Michiel, who was incredibly patient in showing us what to do. No matter how many questions we had, he always took the time to explain everything calmly and clearly. He treated everyone with genuine kindness and respect, creating a relaxed and motivating environment. One of his greatest strengths was knowing exactly how to delegate tasks based on each person's skills and personality — something that made the whole experience even more enriching and enjoyable. He knows absolutely everything about designing and building houses, and on top of that, he’s a genius at games — the man is incredibly smart, haha! Claire is incredibly caring and always ready to help with anything you need. She introduced me to the Vinted website — which was amazing and super helpful — and helped me in so many other ways that if I wrote them all down, it would turn into a book! 😂 She’s also a true wizard in the kitchen and at the game table. Everyone eagerly looked forward to her delicious meals and incredible desserts. Their daughters, Perlulu and Fleur, are the sweetest — beautiful, smart, and full of joy. They brought so much light and laughter to the house every single day. I’m not the best with words, but the gratitude I feel after spending these six weeks with you is beyond words. Thank you so much for everything you did for me and the whole group. I’ve learned so much from you. It was truly an honor to meet you — I love you all dearly! ❤️

I spent two weeks here and made many beautiful memories. I’m very grateful to Tsewang for taking care of me — she is a warm and genuine person. In my free time, I explored the nearby sights by cycling and truly felt the charm of Switzerland. We experienced the sauna together and happened to catch the opening event of the coffee house. Although I was a bit clumsy — forgetting guests and making poorly shaped momos — it was filled with new and unique experiences I had never had before. Every day brought different tasks — cutting grass and chopping wood were especially novel to me. A special thanks to the kind and lovely Ilham for all the delicious food and desserts she made. The days I got to enjoy meals at her home were some of my happiest evenings. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an exploratory experience in Switzerland.

Hannes is a nice young man who respects everyone. We would happily recommend.

Karin war mir eine große Hilfe und es ist eine Freude mit ihr zusammen zu sein. Sie ist vielseitig interessiert, unterhält sich gerne und hilft wo es nötig ist. Ihre handwerklichen und menschlichen Fähigkeiten waren eine Bereicherung für uns. Sie hat mir im Garten geholfen, beim Heu machen geholfen und meinen Gastank gewaschen und gestrichen. In viele weitere Tätigkeiten war sie involviert. Herzlichen Dank für deine Unterstützung und die Gesellschaft, ich habe mich sehr gefreut dich kennen zu lernen!

Ho trascorso tre settimane indimenticabili con Isabella, Maurizio e Nicola. Con loro ho vissuto davvero il mio sogno — la vita rurale italiana, il lavoro in orto e, soprattutto, connessioni umane profonde. Durante il lavoro, ho avuto conversazioni affascinanti con Maurizio e ho imparato molto sia sull’agricoltura che sulla vita. Dopo il lavoro, mi sono sentito parte della famiglia — imparando la cucina italiana da Isabella, chiacchierando con Nicola e godendo del calore della loro casa. Il soggiorno è stato molto confortevole e ho apprezzato la libertà e la fiducia che mi hanno dato. Consiglio questa famiglia con tutto il cuore a chiunque cerchi un’esperienza Workaway bella e significativa. Spero di restare sempre in contatto — grazie di cuore, Isabella, Maurizio e Nicola!

Harry. What a nice guy. Hands on. Sees the work. Totally pleasant fellow. A bit tired in the morning. But still reliable and present. He was a great help. He got on really well with the animals. Some of the pictures show him in cute snapshots. Nose to nose with the dog. He was surprised by our sheep, which he made great friends with. Our sheep are now different to others. They are members of the family. And in the words of Albert Einstein. To be an unblemished member of a flock of sheep, you must first and foremost be a sheep. Harry is now a sheep. Very well-behaved. Haha. No, really. He has very reliably mastered everyday situations with a wonderful sense of humour. Shovelled muck as in big. Assembled cupboards and fitted their interiors. He walked for many hours in beautiful places. Went swimming with us and the dogs and even a veterinary emergency was practised as a great helper. Until we said goodbye in the ground. Emotionally tidy but caring. Focussed. But approachable. He always put the dish INTO the dishwasher. He organised his own laundry. Harry knows how to behave and we can recommend him without reservation. We also look forward to him coming back with his motorhome. People like Harry are very welcome back here. PS: He can now also drive a car on German roads. A little further away from the pavement and the co-driver can also breathe out ;-) Finally all is and was good! All the best on your ways.

It is a place to regenerate mind and body, accompanied by fantastic and original people. Due to lack of time, I only stayed for a week, but it was enough to make me fall in love with its energy. It was a fairy tale accompanied by unique smells, sounds, and colors, in the company of people worthy of a fantasy novel. There's always something to do: from construction, working the land, active and convivial projects, cooking, harvesting and processing herbs, and much more. There was no shortage of parties, dancing, and group excursions, all in an atmosphere of joy, fun, and freedom. In just one week, I regained the energy I'd lost during an uncomfortable winter, met new friends, and learned many things. Here, you don't say goodbye, only "see you again." It's one of the best Workaways I've ever participated in.

Madeleine is a very easygoing person. She quickly blended into our community and brought such a calm, open-minded, and kind presence to the space. She connected easily with students. Thank you so much for everything :)

I spent two weeks at the beautiful lakeside property of Ilona and Grita. The place is magnificent, it is just a pleasure to walk to the lake and take in the view and the sounds. The accommodation is superb and Berlin is only one hour away via public transport. However great all these things are, the real highlight of my stay was my hosts. The company of these lovely German sisters was delightful. Grita was my main point of reference for the work to be done: she explained what was needed in clear terms, put a lot of thought in the organization, made sure that I had the right tools for each task, asked for and actively listened to my opinion, and helped every time I needed guidance. Ilona took care of meals and other logistics, and also helped with the decisions required to complete most of the tasks. I helped with cleaning and organizing the tool shed and the garden shed, power washing the pier and all the outdoor furniture, clearing areas and filling in holes in the garden, removing an underground rain pipe, plus other minor tasks and repairs around the property. I also cooked several times for Ilona, Grita and some of their guests. The atmosphere was always very pleasant and friendly, the conversations were stimulating and entertaining, and the history of the place is very fascinating. Grita and Ilona are cultured and gracious ladies with many captivating stories to tell and treated me exquisitely, and helped me to explore Berlin too (which is a great city!). I also met some of their families and friends, and they were all a pleasure to talk to. This has been a wonderful stay and I am very grateful I got a chance to meet and stay with Ilona and Grita. I had an exceptional time and I hope to meet them again soon. 5 stars are not enough!

What a time! This was an amazing Workaway experience, I'd recommend everyone who wants to do Workaway in Turkey to come to Ali and visit his life project! He is such a down-to-earth man, I loved his vibe. I was lucky enough to meet 5 other very interesting Workawayers from all over the world 🥳 We had a great time together. The farm is very well located, there are many cool things to see nearby. The farm itself is extremely calm and you can see the stars and Milky Way every single night 😍 And eating fruits directly from the tree... So delicious. The food during my stay was amazing, we had a private cook (Arina 😘). Work was 4h per day, 6 days per week, so totally fair. I wish you just the best Ali!
