Hi, I’m Rohit Prakash — a nomad at heart, an adventurer by spirit, and someone who genuinely believes in experiencing everything this world has to offer.

I was born in India, spent my early years soaking in its colors and culture, and then moved to the US, where I studied computer engineering and spent over a decade in New York working in data and software engineering. But the world had more in store for me — and I’ve been traveling ever since Covid reshaped how we live.

Nature grounds me. Culture fascinates me. Hiking is my therapy. I’ve lived in 13+ states across the US and experienced life in over 8 countries across Europe and Asia. Altogether, I’ve traveled to more than 30 countries — and each new place feels like stepping into a whole new story.

I love meeting people from different walks of life — hearing their stories, learning something new, and sharing a bit of my journey too. To me, every person is a book waiting to be read, and every shared meal, trail walked, or deep conversation under the stars is a page worth remembering.

I care deeply about healthy living, enjoy reading, and love solving problems — whether it’s debugging a bit of code or figuring out the best way to cook a wholesome meal with whatever’s in the pantry. I want to live a life full of firsts — new places, new connections, new perspectives — and hope to leave behind a trail of kindness and joy.

Workaway, for me, is a way to connect — to be part of something meaningful, to learn, help, and live fully. I’m excited to contribute, listen, laugh, and grow — wherever the road leads next.

I have a background in computer engineering and spent over 10 years working as a data and software engineer in New York, but I’ve always loved getting involved in creative and hands-on work too. I interned at a restaurant in NYC and love to cook—especially healthy, flavorful meals. I’ve taken pottery classes, enjoy learning to paint, and find a lot of joy in creating with my hands.

I also love driving and exploring new places, and I’ve traveled across 30+ countries. I’m naturally curious and enjoy problem-solving, especially anything related to math or science. I’m dependable, respectful, and always excited to learn new things and help out—whether in the kitchen, garden, workshops, or around the house. Looking forward to contributing and connecting with others along the way!
