We're 27 and 24 year old sisters from Canada excited to get started in Australia and learn more about this beautiful country and culture. We've just finished traveling and working in NZ for a year-- done various Workaways on permaculture and lifestyle farms. We LOVE working with animals, gardening, cooking (& pickling/jamming!) and spending as much time outdoors as possible!
As for our backgrounds, Alana is a high school French & English Teacher, and Katie is an environmental engineer. We are hardworking, up for anything, and happy to learn new skills while we're here. We are so lucky to be sisters embarking on this adventure together!

Que habilidades tienes?

Alana-- I'm a teacher who has been working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for the past 4 years. I teach high school Physical Education, French, and English. I also have lots of experience coaching swimming, paddling, and volleyball. I am an outgoing and extroverted traveler, having lived in South Africa, France, Vietnam, and now New Zealand! Love meeting new people, chatting over a good cup of coffee, and challenging myself with new opportunities.

Katie is a recent environmental engineering grad. She's spent both a semester in Northern Canada and in Singapore. Throughout her six working placements, she's worked in a variety of different settings, including office and field work. Katie is a quick learner who loves a fast-paced environment. She is a very active individual and loves spending time outside.

Both sisters are bilingual, speaking both English and French. We are quick learners, looking to try new things in this exciting chapter of our lives.

We grew up competing in sprint canoe/kayak and lifeguarding. Both have worked for many years as coaches and camp counselors, so are very comfortable working with kids. We are both very comfortable in and around water. We've also both been trained in first aid.
