Salut à toi qui lis ces lignes!

Exercice compliqué que de parler de soi...Mais on va tenter.
Je m'appelle Vincent, j'ai un cursus en biologie mais je travaille aujourd'hui dans l'informatique. Il y a quelques années j'ai sauté le pas et fait du volontariat international dans une association axée sur la conservation faune et flore. L'immersion totale et les échanges riches, francs et amicaux que j'ai eu avec les gens là bas m'ont littéralement transformé. Depuis je me suis engagé dans plusieurs associations (environnementales et culturelles) et je n'hésite plus à faire connaissance avec plein de monde.

De manière générale j'adore rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, découvrir de nouvelles choses (lieux, cultures, plats, musiques, savoir-faire etc...) et je préfère rester dans un même lieu avec des gens du cru pendant quelques temps plutôt que de visiter le max de choses connues dans tout un pays. L'immersion, l'échange culturel et le partage de moments et lieux importants des locaux constituent pour moi le vrai voyage.

Plus spécifiquement j'adore :
- la nature et ce qui s'y rattache (randonnées etc...)
- la musique en écoute ou à jouer (guitare, chant), les concerts
- cuisiner et manger
- les jeux (vidéos, société, extérieurs etc...)
- bricoler même si je ne suis pas un as, j'apprends tout sur le tas en autodidacte
- les animaux
- faire du sport avec des amis
- la fête/les barbecs^^
- la bière ;-)
- et plein de choses

Ce que j'attends d'un voyage workaway?
- l'échange culturel, de bonnes relations avec les hôtes et/ou les covoyageurs
- l'ambiance
- découvrir
- améliorer mes connaissances en langues
- apprendre et transmettre de nouvelles compétences
- m'amuser

Hi you who read these lines!

Hard to speak about myself...but let's try.
My name's Vincent, I've a university course in biology but I work now in IT.
Some years ago I finally made the step and I did international volunteering in an association which worked on animal and plants conservation.
Total immersion, rich, frank and friendly dialogues what I had with local people there, have totally transformed me. Since, I became involved in many associations (environnement et culture) and I don't hesitate anymore to meet new people.

In a general way, I love meet new people, discover news things (places, cultures, meals, musics, knowledges, skills...) and I prefer to stay in a same place with local/indigenous people for a while than to visit a lot of well-known things in the whole country. Immersion, cultural exchange and the share of moments and important places for the local people are the true travel for me.

More specifically I love :
- nature and all belongs (trekking,...)
- play (guitar, sing) and listen music, concerts
- cook and eat
- games (video-, board-, outdoor etc...)
- DIY, even if I'm not very skilled, I learn all by myself, with the pros and cons
- animals
- sport with friends
- parties, barbecues...
- beer ;-)
- and much more things

What I expect to a workaway travel :
- Cultural exchanges, good relationships with hosts and/or co-travellers
- good vibes
- discover
- increase my languages skills
- learn and transfer new skills and knowledges
- have fun

Que habilidades tienes?

Je parle couramment le français, j'ai un anglais et un espagnol intermédiaires.

En 2010 j'ai étudié 1 an le japonais dans une association qui a malheureusement fermé l'année d'après.
En 2015 j'ai fait 1 mois de volontariat international en conservation faune et flore dans un parc national d’Amérique latine.
En 2017 j'ai suivi une formation de guide nature bénévole, et j'ai organisé une sortie animation sur les volcans dans ma région en 2018 pour un groupe d'une douzaine de personnes.

Je suis bénévole dans 3 associations environnementales et administrateur pour l'une d'elle.
J'ai été bénévole également dans une salle de spectacle associative pendant 4 ans où pour l'essentiel, je tenais le bar lors des soirs de spectacle, mais aussi parfois j'aidais en cuisine ou au bricolage.

Je chante depuis environ 8 ans, je sais un peu jouer de la guitare, je sais cuisiner, bricoler, prendre soin des animaux, j'ai des compétences en informatique, je fais de la bière avec des amis...

Et j'adore apprendre de nouveaux trucs!

I'm fluent in french, I've an intermediate level in english and spanish.

2010 : I studied japanese for 1 year in an association which has closed the year after unfortunately.
2015 : I went for a month in a national park in Latina America as an international volunteer in animal and plants conservation.
2017 : I followed a "Nature Volunteer Guide" formation, and hosted an outing about volcanoes in my région the year after (about 12 people involved)

I'm a volunteer in 3 environment associations and an administrator for one of them.
I was a volunteer in an associative theater during 4 years, where, most of time, I helped as a barman the nights of a show, but sometimes too as kitchen help, server or for DIY.

I sing for 8 years, I know a little to play guitar, I know cooking, doing some DIY tasks, take care of animals, I've some IT skills, I brew beer with friends...

And I love to learn new things!
