Split between giving your talents and sharing some general volunteer help.
3. Co-Manager Minimum 1 year comittment
Financial Compensation
General Volunteers contribute only 3hrs a day!

5 days/week = 15 hrs
People contribute 3 hours / food not included.

Our volunteers contribute their creative energy and talent at our busy jungle hostel. We need help with customer service, English instruction, yoga instruction, cooking, cleaning and photography, in addition to help with special projects! We are looking for outgoing and positive team players, ready to join our hostel family in the jungle. Please read on to know more about the hostel.
MORE ABOUT US...
We are located in the Panamanian highlands (on the main road between both oceans) on more than 30 acres of rain forest (cloud forest) and re-purposed organic coffee farm. We are also the deepest private reserve within the La Fortuna nature park. We are a youthful backpackers hostel at heart, but due to our unique location within the reserve we have also hosted scientists, nature enthusiasts, birders, etc. There was even a new species of salamander discovered here and named after us! :)
Minimum commitment length we are looking for from volunteers is 25 days. The length of stay should be quite defined so we can coordinate new volunteers. It is very important to us to know your exit date. Please be respectful about your time frame committment.
We look forward to sharing the experience of living in the jungle with you.

- Lead Volunteer
This is a role available for volunteers who have stayed with us for at least 2 weeks already, and must be able to commit for at least 2 months. Extra perks included! Email for more info!

- Gardening (we grow vegetables on the property and we also like to work on creative landscaping projects).

I have reflected so much on my time here... I can honestly say it was the best 2 months of my life... just a special, special place.

The views are incredible. Dinner is at sunset so everyone can enjoy the scenery together. Beautiful rainbows would appear after it rained. Barbara stayed almost six months with us! She was like a member of the family, and we were all saddened when she departed. She is an outgoing, fun and empathetic person who definitely left her mark. We found Dan to be a really laid back guy, at ease relating with both the guests and his colleagues. He seemed to enjoy every minute of his time with us and we found him to be an exceptional volunteer, whether it be clearing trails in the jungle or checking in a guest who showed up at 1:00 AM, he was always cheerful, kind and generous.

Audrey and Steven were both very enthusiastic people. They worked very hard and were always happy to talk to and answer questions with the guests here. These two are the type of people we look for but rarely get. I would recommend them to anyone in the future.

What an amazing experience. I don't think I could have asked for a better "job". The hostel has an amazing atmosphere created by both the volunteers and the guests. Daily duties were never too much to ask, and mainly consisted of chatting to guests and just making sure everyone was happy. Never a dull moment!
