Hello there,
We are Svenja and Michi, a happily married couple and in July 2022 we started our trip around the world and returned in november 2023. Of course, the main reason is to get to know new countries and their people and cultures. But we are also looking forward to the food in foreign countries :)
Right now we do live in Canada.
We are very sporty, like to try new sports, but currently feel most comfortable in mountaineering, all ball sports and fitness.
We already have a lot of experience in working abroad. We have done countless different jobs. From farmwork (gardening, chopping wood, caring for animals, fencing...) to dog sitter or in a mountain resort in the alps (in a restaurant and as a physiotherapist). We love to try and to learn new skills and we are very open-minded. We are not afraid of getting our hands dirty :)
Since we have lived in an apartment in a big city so far, we unfortunately could not keep our own animals. We can't help wanting to pet almost every dog. Also to an alpaca hike Svenja does not say no :)
We would like to make the world a little bit better and are open for all suggestions and ideas to create this :)

Que habilidades tienes?
Through our job as physiotherapists, we are both very sensitive and empathetic.
We can quickly learn things, teach ourselves and have a real desire to learn new things.
Michi is an excellent hobby cook who has a lot of patience. He is never in a bad mood, has already helped to renovate a house, was active as a soccer coach and completed his voluntary social year in a kindergarten. He is a very loyal soul who can't be angry with anyone and always puts the concerns of others before his own.
Svenja loves to laugh (be careful, it can get loud sometimes), is emotional and can quickly lose her heart to people, things or animals she likes. She has already spent almost a year abroad, worked there as an au pair, helped with the harvest on a farm, worked at a fair and taught children how to play handball at home.
We already made our first Workaway experience on a farm in Chile and learned a lot about farmwork (e.g. working with animals, cutting trees, driving different kind of vehicles, cutting wood...etc.).
Our second experience was in New Zealand where we lived on a dog farm. We stayed for 3 weeks with a breeder and learned a lot about dogs!
We are not afraid of anything and like to take on new challenges. -
