Who we are

We’re an adventurous and free-spirited couple traveling full-time in our van with our two beloved dogs. Nature lovers, animal enthusiasts, and seekers of simplicity, we believe in connection, exchange, and mutual respect. We love getting our hands dirty, learning new things every day, and bringing positive energy wherever we go.
We live simply, close to nature, and with a free spirit. We love the outdoors, meaningful moments, and the freedom of the road. Along the way, we’d love to meet people who share a similar lifestyle—other travelers, maybe in vans—open to sharing experiences, conversations, and perhaps even part of the journey. We believe the best friendships grow naturally, just like that.

What we offer

We have diverse experience—from gardening and DIY projects to packing work, teamwork, animal care, photography, and creative communication. We’re flexible, quick learners, and always bring a lot of heart, creativity, and good vibes to every project.

We're both very curious and open-minded people who love trying new things and learning from different cultures and lifestyles. We enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, and exploring off-the-beaten-path places in our van with our two dogs. We're also into board games (we love Catan, Uno, and card games!), creative hobbies like photography, painting, and journaling,we do a lot of sports, and we’re both big fans of music and dancing around a bonfire.

We live a simple, alternative lifestyle and are passionate about sustainability, self-sufficiency, and spiritual connection with nature. One of us also practices green witchcraft and has a deep love for herbs, moon rituals, and wildcrafting.

We’re always up for a good laugh, a deep conversation, or learning a new skill – and we’re not afraid of hard work, especially if it's for a meaningful project.

Their review saddens me, as it misrepresents our prior agreements and the reality of their stay.

Alex and Martina confirmed in writing and during our Zoom call in April that they would stay in their own camper van, were fully self-sufficient, and comfortable with the fact that the house in the listing was not available. They also agreed to keep… read more their dogs separate from mine, as previously discussed in our Zoom meeting and on the night of arrival.

On day one, they brought their Pitbull (they never informed me in advance that it was a Pitbull - it's a forbidden breed in Spain- to my house against our agreement. When their dog jumped toward me, my dog reacted protectively. All three of us examined their dog immediately and found one scratch, which I treated. They worked the next day as planned, and their dog showed no sign of distress. Ten days later, they claim six wounds, which is not true.

The other claims, including no lights, no electricity, no kitchen, no pool, and only 3-sprong sockets, as well as mocked Italian, neglected horses, are also false or misleading.
They never reported these issues while they were here. The pool was not yet open, as I explained ahead of time. The kitchen has lighting. Power was off for one hour due to pool maintenance.

I also helped them with laundry on arrival (which no other WorkAwayer has ever requested on day one). I only put it in and out of the machine. I invited them to lunch in a Spanish restaurant and offered emotional and practical support. Unfortunately, their behaviour quickly became concerning on Day 2, including heavy drinking, showing up at my door in the middle of the night with flashlights, acting obviously under the influence of drugs ( I saw him holding what looked like a joint) he could not stop laughing the whole time and did not react when I asked him to stop, and then leaving a few hours later, taking all the food with them that I bought for the next week and leaving broken tools behind.

I have two more pages of remarks, and it won't make a difference... I have to put this behind me. They are not worth losing more sleep over them.

I have hosted many respectful, kind volunteers over the years. I care deeply about animals, offer a peaceful place in nature, and value clear agreements and mutual respect. This experience was so disappointing and I've needed a lot of sleep over this, because these lies hurt.
