Hi! I’m Maisie!
I recently finished studying at London Contemporary Dance School. After spending 4 years living and studying in London, I am looking for an adventure and an alternative way of living that both excites and challenges me in the city I call home. The idea of workaway in the city really excites me. I love the idea of working with people I don’t have any previous connection to only to see what we can make happen together!
I have experience with manual work and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty! I bring skills from various jobs including farm work, landscaping, community building projects, a previous workaway with a heavy influence on construction, and work for the London canals. I also have skills from animal care and childcare, to catering, customer service, and administration. I’m a team player, who loves laughing and being silly. I also enjoy moments of solitude and quiet to decompress and reflect during nourishing experiences.

Que habilidades tienes?

As we touched on above, we are two friends from different countries, with different backgrounds, and a wide range of skills and knowledge we have each gathered in our 23 years of life! Milo has worked on farms, for food caterers, as a fulltime nanny, and in various administration jobs. Maisie has worked as a dog walker, a fundraiser for various different charities, in customer service and also regularly volunteers to make meals at community events. We are both professional dancers and published creative writers; We have worked at garden centres, for landscaping companies, and as house movers! As artists, freelancers, and creatives, we know how to work independently and take leadership. We have both taught dance classes to students ranging in age, and are always taking initiative to communicate our ideas and make them come to fruition. Communication and time management are key components to our careers as artists, so we bring openness, reliability, and passion for what we’re learning. We have joined together with the aim of traveling and learning about what it’s like to live with locals and see how we can help to extend their way of life, and ours. We cannot wait to apply everything we bring from our diverse backgrounds to this new experience and way of life!
