Hello!

We are Manu and Cristina, a social, happy and adventurous couple who love travelling, meeting new people and discovering new places around the world.

We met in Australia a few years ago and since then we have become one, supporting each other in every aspect of life and starting our journey around the world. We lived and travelled around Australia for 3 years. In September 2019 we moved to New Zealand where we worked and studied for a few months. In February 2020 we travelled to Samoa to start a workaway experience at a Beach resort for a couple of months. During that time covid-19 hit the world and Samoa closed its borders cancelling our flight out of the country. We were happily stuck living a beautiful life on an island in the middle of the Pacific. Sharing our lives with the local community, learning about Samoan culture, and helping with local projects one of the best experiences we had in life and we are very grateful for the time we spent there. We could say that our six-week volunteering holiday turned into an unforgettable 2 years of our lives! After 2 years of living Samoa, we went to Europe to visit family for a few months. Then we came back to Australia, WA, and lived in Perth for a couple of years. At the beginning of last year we moved down to the South West. We are loving this beautiful part of the world, the mindful community that lives here, and the stunning nature that this place has!

Get to know us better:

Manu: I am from Argentina, I am 38 and I have been traveling and living new experiences around the world for the last decade. From the time I began, I have liked it more and more. I am a PE teacher and lifeguard, but I have worked in many different fields. One of them is carpentry, where I have become a qualified carpenter, working for amazing builders in Australia building custom design homes.
I am a person who likes to do things and keep myself busy. Always predisposed to collaborate and help with new projects, I have gained experience volunteering and working in different countries- which helped me learn and improve my building, cooking, teaching, and gardening skills. I intend to share my knowledge and learn everything I can, and always with a smile and good humor.

Cristina: I am from Spain, and I am 35. I graduated in Business and Management with four years’ experience as a Product Manager in a multinational company. I studied a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and finished a course of Tour Guiding in Australia. I have recently finished a B. A. Degree in Primary School Education and I am currently working as a relief teacher in local schools. I am a person with a great sense of responsibility- dynamic, motivated, well-organized and a fast learner. I have been involved in many different projects that have helped me grow and discover the beauty in life. I love working with people and I am always ready for new challenges.

Since we have been together, we have learned from each other, shared wonderful experiences, and helped with different projects while meeting new people and cultures. We have loved all the adventures we have had while doing Workaway. We would love to keep meeting and helping other people around the world like we have been doing for the last few years.

Many of our hobbies include reading, meditating, surfing, slacklining, outdoor sports, yoga hiking, photography, enjoying relaxing music and appreciating the little things.

Main Skills: Reliable, hardworking, problem-solving, can-do attitude and teamwork.
Good at: working with children, customer service, gardening, hard work (renovations, labor job...), cooking etc.
We are both teachers and have the First Aid Certificate. Manu is a PE teacher (sport teacher) and rescuer and has an advanced diving course. Cristina is an enthusiastic ECE teacher who loves working with children and also is passionate about the tourism industry and customer service sectors
