Kia ora! My name is Brittany and I am from New Zealand. I am a bright and friendly extrovert with lots of hobbies and a passion for working with people.

For the past 3 years, I have been working in my home country of NZ as a youth worker and volunteer coordinator for different community events and projects. Before that, I was an English teacher in both Cambodia and South Korea and spent 5 years overseas before returning to New Zealand due to Covid.

I also have a degree in Communications and a background in freelance content and copywriting. I'm super passionate about writing and taking photos and videos - I love digital storytelling and am excited to document my travels in creative ways (I'm always keen to help hosts out with their own photos and things as needed).

Other things about me:
- I love gardening and cooking with food from the garden. Cooking is one of my favourite hobbies!
- I am a big reader and always have at least one book on the go (sometimes more)
- I love 'slow travelling' wherever possible. This is a big part of why I joined Workaway, because I don't feel traditional tourist travel suits me that well - I'd much rather spend more time getting to know the land, culture and people around me.

- 3+ years teaching English as Second Language
- 3 years youth work (working with young people aged 13-18)
- 3+ years communications support and writing for small organisations, publications, and charities
