Hello! We are Anthony and Nina, welcome to our profile!
Since we first met in Rome (where Nina workawayed as an au-pair), we have travelled to many beautiful corners of the Earth. We have experienced life in South America, South East Asia and many European countries. We are especially in love with the Mediterranean way-of-life!

Previously, we have spent a summer Workawaying on sustainable gardening projects across Italy, Sicily and Greece. The work included helping with the olive harvest, upgrading chicken coops and refurbishing antique furniture. One of our favourite memories was maintaining the 'Secret Garden' of an ancient Roman villa. We have made such wonderful friends and memories during our travels and we want to keep going!

Nina is 24, from the snowy Alpen mountains in France. She has always been passionate about animal rights and absolutely loves all interactions with canine and feline friends. She is enthusiastic about bringing joy and happiness to all animals she meets. One of Nina’s talents is languages, fluent in English, French and Italian (and a little Spanish!). She is currently learning Portuguese (can you guess the reason why?).

Anthony is 26, from London and now lives in the English countryside. He is a qualified TEFL English teacher and works part-time as an online tutor. Anthony’s passions are gardening and horticulture - check out @beneventogardener on Instagram to see his work across Europe. He loves getting his hands dirty in nature and is an experienced (and soon-to-be qualified) landscape gardener.

During the last cold winter near Anthony’s house in North England, we offered our help to Pauline with her farm. Her husband had recently died and her horses needed to be taken care of. We volunteered to clean the stables, feed the horses and other general maintenance. It was challenging work, but incredibly rewarding.

Whenever we visit a new place, one of our hobbies is to visit the local animal shelter. Whenever we are in Crete, we visit the Gouves Animal Shelter. Their work is so important and we love taking dogs like Felix for walks on the beach and spending time with the cats. In France, we regularly visit the ‘Les amis des bêtes’ shelter near Nina's house, walking dogs like Tango in the nearby forest.

During our time Workawaying, we have learnt that honest and open communication is best.
We like to make sure that we are ‘on the same page’ as our hosts.
We take our responsibilities very seriously and we behave accordingly and maturely.
In return, we kindly request that our host also honours their agreements (for example, with regards to accommodation and workload).
