Hi! We are Anna (26) and Daniel (27), a german couple. After traveling together in 2019 for 7 months, but then returning home to study and find a base, we made a huge dream become true this year. We quit everything at home to travel parts of the world for about 1-3 years. Besides traveling we want to contribute to meaningful projects, getting to know local communities, share knowledge and moreover, learn a lot new things!
Both of us are trained social workers, who are experienced working either in schools (Daniel) or in therapeutical youth and family facilities (Anna) supporting people overcome personal and social challenges.
A bit about Anna:
I would describe myself as an empahtic and open minded person. I love connecting with people and animals on a deep level, dancing, cooking, philosophy and practicing yoga. Moreover, I’m interested in community-living and sustainability. In Germany I used to work in an antroposophic social-therapeutical setting with teenagers, who suffer from various mental illnesses. It was my first experience of living in a community that left me inspired to learn more about it.
A bit about Daniel:
I am someone who values empathy and an active lifestyle. I am a certified holistic nutritionist and school social worker. I have led workshops on topics such as healthy eating, sustainability, drug prevention, social skills and media literacy, providing me with a solid understanding in these areas. I am also passionate about plant-based nutrition, balanced living, and sustainability. Additionally, I am interested in sports, politics, ethics, and cryptocurrency.
This is going to be our first experience to help as volunteers through Workaways. Back in 2018/19 we gained some working experiences in New Zealand in the field of agriculture and hospitality (work and travel).

certified social worker with expertise in school social work, certified holistic nutritionist, certified advanced scuba diver, overall skilled in doing research, healthy cooking and critical thinking
Both of us have experience with animals and have had own pets (dogs, cats and rats).
