It was an absolute pleasure to have Laura and Eline stay with us as. From the moment they arrived they were delightful. They brought such a light, bubbly, and uplifting energy into our home, and it was immediately clear they were going to be fun to have around. They were warm, easy to be with, and quickly felt like part of the household rather than just guests. Alongside their great personalities, they were also exceptionally helpful. They were hardworking, diligent, and completely reliable, showing great initiative and a real attention to detail in everything they did. They were always respectful of us and our property, very tidy, and consistently cleaned up after themselves without needing to be asked. Beyond the work, they were simply great company, making the three weeks they spent with us genuinely enjoyable. We feel very lucky to have had them stay with us and wish them all the best for their future travels. Any host would be fortunate to welcome Laura and Helene into their home.

The organisation is professionally run and the staff really put their heart into the school. Chua was taking care of us during my stay and she is an incredibly warm and friendly person. I really recommend everyone to spend time with her, I got a better understanding to why the work they do is important. The communication, accommodation, work/rest balance and the teaching itself was very good. A tip is to bring warm clothes if you are visiting during winter time. Another tip is to make sure that the students really understand you during the lessons as the Vietnamese school system is based on repeating and memorising rather than understanding.

Gabrielle and Steve’s home/property was absolutely beautiful and calm! Kangaroos hop through the yard and they have beautiful plants everywhere! They were very accomodating to my situation and found jobs that suited us! I’m thankful for their kindness and for inviting us into their home! Xx

It was a pleasure to host Nathan and Lise, they got a huge amount of work done around the place for us. Respectful, clean and tidy, highly recommend. Hope to see you both again before you leave NZ

Kim stayed with us for about a month in November, and her help with the puppies was truly invaluable. She is kind, hardworking, and always willing to help in any way she can. The children absolutely loved playing with her, and despite her young age, she is very responsible and someone you can genuinely trust. Kim learns quickly and understands what needs to be done, approaching every task with care and enthusiasm. She always helps with a beautiful smile on her face, which makes working with her a real pleasure. We are very grateful for the time we spent together and wish her all the very best for the future.

Annika was my longest stayer so far and it was an excellent experience. She was playful with my boy, eager to cook delicious food and open learn the ways of the place. Flexible too

Erica & Grady where a great couple to have around, not a task was too much and they did everthing very careful and proper. we got to know each other very well and some great dinners and aperativo’s after some hard days work. they were very easy to communicate with and could be left by themselves to have task perfectly complted. I can only highly recommend them to any future work aways and totally trusted them .

I spend one month here and my experience was really good. I made drinks, helped in the kitchen, with cleaning, and served customers. The work was easy and the instructions were clear. Aldo and Irina were very approachable, and Aldo is a crack with coffee (and his English is great too), he’s very knowledgeable, and it’s definitely worth learning from him. And Vini! Nothing! kindness and professionalism are outstanding. In general with all guys the experience was good and also I could learn some Words in albanian. The accommodation and food were good, and sharing space with other volunteers made the stay even more fun. And Tirana… wow, it’s an incredible city! I would totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn about customer service, drink preparation, and get a closer look at Albanian culture. Faleminderit!

Que alegría saber que les gustó su experiencia en la granja! Para nosotros fue muy agradable conocer a Lou e Ismael, dos chicos proactivos, con buena energía y muy interesados en aprender como funciona el proyecto. Compartimos gratos momentos y nos ayudaron en diversas tareas, cómo sembrar hortalizas y café, abonar plantas, cuidar los animales, y también explicando a nuevos voluntarios las tareas que ya conocían. Fue un gusto conocerles y compartir! Les deseamos una bonita vida :)

Chantal was my rescue. I couldn't find anyone in November or December who wanted to host me, that was until Chantal accepted me. Because there is not much to do outside in the winter months, I mainly worked inside, which I didn't mind at all. Cantal and Corey took me everywhere and got to know the region a little better. They wanted me to have the best experiences. Chantal showed me how to make sourdough bread what was very fun. They are spontaneous people who want to enjoy life. If you ever have the opportunity to go to this address definitely do it. The animals were very sweet and funny. Thank you Chantal, Corey and Matthew for hosting me in your home. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Sean is an absolute legend. He's got a cool cob oven, the most loving animals and a beautiful home and orchard... lots of wisdom and a worldview that is refreshingly critical and alive. He helped upgrade some of my practical skills and planted a few great seeds in my ideas and thought processes, discreetly and attentively. I'm sure I did not give back nearly as much as I received here, but it was a pleasure helping out. Highly recommend a stay with Sean in cow-town with all them crazy rural Yanks;) Thank you for hosting me. <3

This Workaway is a super good choice for people who want to have a real cultural exchange, experience the real Bogota with locals and learn more about an alternative, permaculture-oriented life! The hosts, Daniel and Camila, are very friendly and had a lot of time to explore the city together with me and to tell me interesting facts. With them, I could see places where usually only locals go to and still felt super safe. They invited me to their friends and family as if the knew me for ten years already, which I appreciated a lot and J think is not a normal thing in other workaways and cultures. They always cared about my well-being, were respectful and very open to talk. I did some work with plants, some cooking, and a lot of work with wood, which I liked. The work exchange was definately fair and they let you choose to do the things you prefer to do, which is very cool. The room and balcony is very cool. Having a bike to use whenever you want is extremely helpful and the place is perfectly located to ride the bike or walk to all important touristic attractions. It is perfect to learn spanish with them and it is very easy to communicate in english if you have no spanish experience. I am really grateful for everything and whenever I come back, I will visit them again - thank you so much Daniel and Camila!! <3

Thank you so much for letting us stay with Avi and Margaret for10 days. Our tasks included composting and gardening such as watering and weeding. Avi explained each day’s tasks clearly, and we were able to learn a lot about gardening and how compost systems work. Since it was our first time living in New Zealand, we were quite nervous at the beginning, but spending time with both of you — who are so kind and caring — helped us a lot and made us feel at ease.Sharing meals and drinks together was a wonderful experience for us. We really enjoyed trying new foods from another culture, and those moments were very special and fun for us. We also spent a lot of time with Sveijk, going for walks and sharing mealtimes together. We made so many amazing memories with him, and we were so happy that he became attached to us. We already miss him and want to see him again. We will come back to say hello again before returning to Japan. Thank you, Haruka&Ai

Anna was lucky to catch a sunny week with mild temperatures in December to visit us on the hill. We managed to clean the remaining leaves from autumn season and visited the Christmas market together. It was a good mix of getting things done and enjoying the festive season. Thank you and have a great time here on Workaway! V&Y

Josh has been a great addition to our hostel! He stayed with us for 4 months and did a great job at keeping the hostel clean and ready for guests. We could always rely on him to get the work done well (: Aside from his hard work, he was a friend to everyone here in the hostel and was easy to get along with and respectful. Thanks for being a part of the community here Josh and all the best with your adventures!

Jérôme a passé deux semaines intensives avec nous en décembre 2025, apportant une grande aide dans l'entretien de notre petit paradis. Indépendant et travailleur, il a effectué de nombreuses tâches : transport de bois de chauffage, débroussaillage des ronces sur les oliviers, soins et promener les ânes (il a marché 5km!), changement dles poules, transport de fumier, fabrication de composteurs, empilage de paille, plantation d’arbres, tamisage de mortier et fumier et plâtrage de murs... Il s'est fixé des objectifs et n'a pas reposé avant de les avoir accomplis. Par ailleurs, Jérôme a beaucoup joué avec Silvestre et Miranda. Jérôme est très calme, patient, dynamique, respectueux et gentil. Il est très dévoué, et adore aider. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié sa compagnie. Il était toujours attentif à nos besoins. Coming to this camp was the best decision I've ever made! It felt like home immediately. Norm, the director, will treat you as family and do anything to make this a good experience for you. The property is so peaceful and healing, the staff is made of the most friendly people I have ever met, and the kids hold a special place in my heart. Outside of camp work, there is so much time for you to explore Maine. We went on many hiking and camping trips, as well as day trips into nearby parks and towns. It's everything you could ask for and more. I'll be going back next summer to live it all over again.

Mi workaway con Harold fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi viaje en América Latina. Al principio solo pensaba quedarme tres semanas, pero me sentí muy bienvenida y Harold me permitió hacer muchas cosas muy bonitas, así que me quedé un mes. El trabajo de voluntariado era muy fácil y me divertí mucho conociendo a la gente del pueblo y enseñando inglés a los niños. Enseñé en la biblioteca del pueblo en un taller de inglés abierto y también en Nilo, una pequeña escuela en las montañas, lo cual fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora. Cuando no estaba ayudando, tenía tiempo para hacer mi propio trabajo, sobre todo por la mañana, y Harold me llevó a muchas actividades. Nadamos en los ríos, tomamos cerveza con sus colegas y, por supuesto, dimos paseos todas las tardes en su moto, algo muy típico de Palermo. Había muchísima comida rica (incluso demasiado para mi apetito) y Harold siempre me invitó al restaurante cuando tuvo la oportunidad, lo cual aprecié mucho. A cambio, también compartí algunos talleres de cocina. Muchas gracias por todo, Harold. Más que recuerdos hermosos, hice un amigo, y espero de verdad poder volver algún día. (Y gracias por su paciencia con mi español, que estaba muy mal cuando llegué)

I really liked my 2 week stay at Cam's place. We had a chat over the phone before meeting, so everything was pretty clear before it began. The house that the other workawayers and I shared was cozy and having a private room and bathroom was nice. In my free time I relaxed and explored the surrounding nature on a mountain bike that Cam gave me to use while I was there. I enjoyed working on the projects and jobs there, and I think that they were a valuable learning experience for me. Cam, thank you for inviting me!
