Ayelen, you are such a sweetheart. We enjoyed having you with us so much. We had a lot of fun, even though things at our place are not always completely stress-free. You and Florence helped us so much, and we are so happy that we had you here with us. You are always welcome at our place, and we will always be your German home. It was also so beautiful to see how you explored the world from here and how you connected with our horses. Even the people I connected you with for work are still speaking so highly of you. I truly hope that all your wishes and plans come true. You deserve it. We miss you very much. Every time we are cooking here in the kitchen and a Latin song comes on, we think of you. Júlia stayed with us for more than a month. Originally, she was only supposed to stay for ten days, but fortunately for us, she decided to extend her stay. During several periods of our absence, Júlia looked after our home and our animals with exceptional care, responsibility, and attention to detail. We always felt completely confident that everything – and especially our dog – was in the very best hands. Thanks to her, we were able to fully relax and truly enjoy our holidays without any worries. The time we spent together was equally wonderful. Júlia is a warm-hearted, kind, positive, and life-loving person who brings great energy wherever she goes. It was a real joy to have her in our home. She carried out all her tasks with great dedication and care, worked extensively in the garden, and continued to take excellent care of our animals throughout her stay. On top of that, she enriched our days with her music, which was a very special gift. We can wholeheartedly recommend Júlia to any future host. She is a truly wonderful person and an outstanding Workawayer. Thank you, Júlia, for everything!

Alexander is a great worker, a nice and modest person and a pleasure having in the family! He is one of those young world-citizens who are eager to learn, quick to adapt to new circumstances and able and wiling to do whatever task is presented to him. A guy that takes care of himself and others in an excellent way.

Giordano y Tamara se quedaron casi 4 meses con nosotros. Una de las mejores experiencias en workaway que hemos tenido en todo sentido. Son personas amables, simpáticas, resolutivas y de muy fácil convivencia. Hemos disfrutado mucho su compañía y ayuda en nuestro proyecto. Les agradecemos mucho la predisposición y espero que hayan pasado un lindo tiempo en Garganta la olla. Por mucha mas gente como Tamara y Giordano ;)

It’s already been four months since we left your place, and we still think of you, your lovely home-cooked meals, and Frida and Tony all the time! We were so lucky to do our first Workaway with you – it was an incredible experience! The work was really interesting and, above all, very satisfying to see all those projects finished at the same time. We were supposed to stay for two weeks, but we felt so at home that we ended up staying for a month in total. We met some great people through the other volunteers, who became our friends, and having two private chefs as hosts was an extraordinary opportunity. We started our journey with you, and we’ll remember it for the rest of our lives. Thank you again for welcoming us and teaching us all that – it meant the world to us. We miss you so much, big hugs

We had a brilliant two weeks with Tim and his friends. They showed us around the local area, we went to a party to celebrate the end of fascism in Italy, we went on some fantastic hikes, and we got to help out with some interesting projects. The accommodation is really comfortable, and a special mention for the ‘Nordic bath’ – it’s just the ticket after a long day’s work! Thanks again to Tim, Olivia, Julian, Ferez/Felix and Lisa for their warm welcome!

We had a brilliant time staying with Claudio and Elisa; for twelve days we helped them with the vegetable garden, building their future home and tending the olive trees. We were lucky enough to play with their two puppies and cuddle the four cats! The caravan was very comfortable and the Italian food was excellent! Thanks again, Claudio, for the fresh pasta and risotto recipes – we really enjoyed them! Communication was very clear, as was the organisation of the work; it was lovely to spend a few days in such an incredible setting! A big thank you to both of you for having us!

La estancia aqui fue una experiencia muy fuerte tanto a nivel humano como a nivel de los aprendizajes. Los voluntarios como la gente que rodea el proyecto (Alba, Edgar, Charo, Manolin, la familia de Paco, etc.) componen una comunidad bondadosa e interesante. Compartimos mucho comiendo juntos, charlando, trabajando, descubriendo la región. El trabajo de obras que hacemos cada semana me permitió aprender bases de carpintería, albañilería, y el uso de unas herramientas. También, gracias a la gente y a las excursiones de escalada, pude aprender lo suficiente para ser más autónoma y disfrutar de increíbles sectores. Villabre es un pueblito en una zona magnífica y salvaje. Se puede ir caminando desde la casa a través del monte y bañarse en el río. El puerto Maravio y la zona de Teverga, entre otras, merecen la pena conocer. Paco es todo un personaje (y lo sabe) muy entrenable e interesante. Me divertí mucho con el y creamos un vínculo de confianza. Gracias a ti por abrir las puertas de la casa, y por todo lo compartido.

I spend 3 weeks with Valeria's family. It's a great place if you want to stay in Catania and explore surroundings. Work is mainly house maintenance and pool. Pool is always in the morning and evening. Laundry is almost every day and keeping the kitchen clean after meals is everyday. Work is monotonous so it's quite easy to build a routine and plan your days. Occasional lunch and dinner with family but most of the times you are on your own. Family members are friendly but quite buisy. No activities together. Private room and private bathroom were very comfortable. Mezzanine floor used for storage. I liked fresh lemons, basil and eggs. Of course you can enjoy the pool,lay and enjoy the sun ☀️ It was my first workaway experience and I appraciate that Valeria trusted me with her home 💛

Geff and Annie were an excellent couple they worked hard and accepted all challenges with enthusiasm and energy. the work was completed to a high standard . Thank you very much again for your hard work.Enjoy your tour of Europe

I had the best time with Alessandro! He thought me so much about farming, plants, olive oil, gin, soap - I could keep going and going 😄 He is a big inspiration for me - living and working so passionately in his farm and museo. He is a very cool person, knows a lot and likes to share a lot 😍 We always cooked and ate together, we always went to the beach and city center together. He introduced me to his friend. I always felt like a friend with him and not some stranger. Alessandro was very kind and let me do a lot of creative projects 💛 I liked our slow mornings and lunch. He is a very good chef, so I always ate a super delicious food. Living in Sciacca with Alessandro was an experience of a lifetime. Grazie grazie grazie! I lived here almost a month and I appraciated every second. Some additional details for workawayer: Private room with private balcony and private bathroom. Room is also a storage room. Room is quite big,but 1/3 are boxes and things. Keep in mind this if you are allergic to dust.

Puedo decir que fue una de las mejores cosas que hice en mi vida. Así lo siento ahora y creo que, con el paso del tiempo, cada vez que lo recuerde, lo voy a sentir aún más. Estuvimos unas 5 semanas y el tiempo pasó volando, literalmente. Viniendo de una ciudad bastante grande como Osaka, vivir rodeados de una naturaleza tan hermosa y de animales tan lindos fue una experiencia única y muy recomendable. Hernán siempre está atento a todo y en todo momento nos hizo sentir como en casa. Siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudarnos, responder nuestras preguntas y compartir sus conocimientos. Se nota el cariño y la dedicación que tiene por el lugar y por los animales. No solo aprendimos mucho, sino que también nos llevamos recuerdos y experiencias que seguramente nos van a acompañar toda la vida. Sin dudas, volveríamos. Lizzy was experienced in the garden and in the communal kitchen. She was curious and knowledgeable about plants. Great stories about her travels and future aspirations.

Monique is a very cheerful, easy going and independent person. We enjoyed the time spent with her. During the work exchange, I was not feeling well for a few days and she was really helpful. I was very lucky to have her around to take care of the kids and house chores. We also talked about culture, education, travel experience, dreams and even shared many views from different perspectives. We will always miss her smile 😊

We had a wonderful experience hosting this lovely couple on their first Workaway. They adapted incredibly well to our home and quickly became part of our daily rhythm. It never felt like they were intruding on our space; instead, they blended naturally into our household and environment. They were very helpful with our projects, worked well both independently and as a team, and always approached tasks with a positive attitude. They also spent time with our daughter, Madeline, who thoroughly enjoyed their company. Their kindness, patience, and warmth were truly appreciated. They are easygoing, talkative, and pleasant to be around, making communication effortless and enjoyable. We are grateful for the time we shared together and wish them all the very best on their future travels and Workaway adventures. We are confident they will be a great addition wherever they go next. ❤️ Our door is always open open for you 😊

We warmly recommend anyone to welcome Anna and take her in if she reaches out! She has been a fantastic help around our farm, doing gardening work like planting, weeding, trimming, painting, and general maintenance. Thanks to her efforts, our farm look so much more beautiful than before. ​Anna is a truly warm, positive, and hardworking person who is incredibly easy to work with. She gladly takes on any task given to her without hesitation, even if it is completely new to her. As a wonderful bonus, she also makes a fantastic rhubarb pie! We give her our absolute highest recommendations.

I stayed with Dragana and her family for 10 days in June 2026. The farm is a stunningly beautiful and traditional place on a hill above a very picturesque countryside. The farm is full of fruit and veggie plants and lots to learn. Dragana was very clear, prompt and open in her communication . Everything went seamlessly. They picked me up and dropped me to the train station. The work depends on the season. I was here in June where the tasks were mainly weeding the various plantations. I quite enjoyed my time in nature. She was kidn enough to check with me upfront if I was happy to do weeding. Being a farm, there can be other tasks from time to time - like possibly feeding the chickens, locking them in, letting them out, mulching etc. Everything is easy, communicated and fairly relaxing. The tasks and timings are flexible - I can see how somedays it could be more and some days less - depending on good weather, tasks to be completed etc. They dont work on Sundays. There is also a super cute dog and cat to keep you company. They are very friendly and socialized. Dragana and Darko are very happy to share a lot of information about Serbian culture, government, famring practices, theology, etc etc. She patiently answered all my questions. She has a lot of experience with the farming, ecological studies, etc - so if one wants to learn, she can be a super good resource of information. She is also a superb cook, so I enjoyed so many delicious meals with them. We also went out a couple of times to Kosjeric, for some paperwork, cafe, breakfast, a drink, a concert etc. I always enjoyed her company. She is so kind and sweet, she even packed me off with a bottle of her own super delicious Elderflower syrup when I left The volunteer stay in a very comfortable separate room with attached bathroom and kitchen, which is very convenient. I cannot recommend this farm enough. Everything about it is beautiful and charming. If you get a chance to go and help out, please do. I hope I can return there someday ! :)

I stayed with Erika and Zoli for a little over week. The house is on the outskirts of Budapest and surrounded by nature. I had my own room, very spacious and comfortable, with a separate entrance. It was garden facing. They were very friendly and welcoming and even came to pick me up at bus stop. They invited me for a few meals also, very kind of them. Very delicious meals and good conversations. They also gave me lots of travel recommendations for Budapest. In terms of work, I was asked to help out with light tasks as they finish their house renovation project. Thank you Zoli for teaching me and being flexible. It was a pleasure working together. Hope the garden on the roof turns out really nice :)
