Staying with Lazar was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave. He is not just a great host, but a genuinely kind human being, with a curious mind and a calm, welcoming energy. Our conversations were always interesting and meaningful. Cooking there was a joy. Most ingredients came straight from his garden fresh, full of flavor, and clearly grown with care. His pantry is also a hidden gem, especially if you enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. I discovered and cooked with Chinese ingredients I had never tried before, which made the whole experience even richer. Padma, his cat, is an absolute sweetheart. She’s very well-behaved and easy to take care of, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The house itself is extremely comfortable. I stayed during winter, with heavy snow outside, and still felt completely warm and safe inside. You can tell Lazar has put real thought into making the space functional and cozy. I highly recommend this stay if you’re looking for something more than just accommodation. With Fruška Gora National Park nearby, there are beautiful trails to explore, and if you get the chance, go mushroom hunting with Lazar. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of my stay. Grateful for this experience. I’d gladly return.

The experience of volunteering with Dionny and Alan was truly wonderful. We have met so many interesting people, because at the time we were there, there were fifteen volunteers staying together.. Dionny is a genuinely kind, funny, and incredibly energetic woman. Her food is excellent. Alan helped us immensely. He has a very fascinating life story, and listening to his travel experiences in the evenings was a delightful experience for me. Observing the life on a Peruvian farm was very inspiring, and we were grateful to be part of this environment. The surroundings are breathtaking — beautiful nature, mountains, and peaceful silence.

What can I say? It was a magical experience where I found not only lovely people but a real family! Dr. Louha is the manager of the place, a lovely, kind and open mind person. She hosted me in one of the apartments the center has not so far from the An-Najah University, where the center is located. I found amazing and super kind girls and boys that welcomed me as I was one of them. I want to say a thank you to the secretay Samar, and Mohammed, to the boys, Hassan, Jacoob and everyone else, the girls, Lama, Esma, Ghazal, Saba.. I miss you! I teached English and Italian for almost 1 month, I was supposed to stay 3 months but unfortunately the war between Isra el and Iran started and I had to leave for safety purposes. I really hope that I can come back soon. Nablus is a fantastic place where u can find super welcoming people and delicious food like Knafah, Qatayef, Maqlouba, Shawarma.. oh I'm already missing that super tasteful food What can I add? I could write a book about it but to keep it short, I would encourage and suggest everyone to come to the center, you will find a family, a safe place and a magical cultural exchange site, you will feel like to be in heaven of earth

It was a delight to host Rahel. She is an amazingly capable woman with a pleasant, easy-going personality. She blended comfortably with us and our children and grandchildren. She is a person of many skills and great focus able to turn her hand to any job from clearing weeds to cutting metal with an angle grinder. From painting a shed to cleaning the house or cooking dinner. And then in the afternoon she might decide to make delicious bread or cinnamon buns mmmmm. Or darn her socks or do some wood whittling. What a woman! Rahel is a very interesting person who has chosen to truly embrace life . We really enjoyed hearing about her work in the milling business and her upbringing in the Swiss countryside and her great love of Swiss traditions. Now I know about Swiss wrestling festivals! She drove to Ireland via the north of Germany and took time to get to know the country while she was here. Then she travelled home via Wales and England to further her adventures .We all missed her when she left and were really happy with the improvements she brought to our house a garden. Thank you Rahel and good wishes for your further adventures in life

PJ and her family are one of the sweetest families in Thailand. All the volunteers really enjoy their stay and experience there. She is a very creative and thoughtful person, you'll see it. You can work in a relaxed environment as part of a group. Depending on the situation, the schedule can vary — when I was there, we had free time in the morning, worked during the day, and had free time again in the evening. If you’re interested in cooking or cultural and language exchange, her family is unbelievably sweet, and you can have an amazing time with them as well. The city is also known for its coffee, which I personally really appreciated. I had plenty of time to enjoy the small but beautiful town and explore nature in the national park. I would definitely come back just to see this lovely family again. Thank you so, so much, sending all my love💚💚

Chiara and Calleigh are the nicest guests and volunteers! :) I hosted them for a week in March during their sping brek, and even if it was such a short time they still were of good help, and we still managed to have a good time. It was their first workway experience, and even tho they didn't have much experience they were very enthusiastic and happy about the work. They helped me cleraing out some parts of the garden from brambles and young trees and doing some weeding. I totally recommend the both of them to any host for their next workaway adventure :) And I also hope they could be coming around here some time again! All the best girls, and see you soon!

My stay with Hannah and Taku was my second Workaway and my second stop in Zimbabwe. I’d planned to stay for two weeks, but ended up extending it to three :) Hannah and Taku picked me up by car in Mutare and took me to their place, which is about an hour’s drive from the city. At first I was the only guest, but soon other friends of the family arrived, and Hannah and Taku quickly made me feel part of it. I had a bed in a shared room in the main house, with a lovely balcony overlooking the mountains and the sunset. As the house filled up, I was even allowed to move into my own chalet with an en-suite bathroom. During my stay, I helped to work on the chalets for the tourist groups. This mainly involved finalizing the clay work as well as painting the interiors. Especially on the paintings me and Hannah worked closely together, which was great fun, and she also gave me responsibility for it, which felt good and meant I could work independently. By decorating the interiors with my own designs, I feel I’ve left a personal touch, which makes me very proud. Meals were cooked and eaten together with the family and friends, which created a wonderful feeling of community. I also had the chance to meet Taku’s family, who were visiting, and learnt a lot about traditional Zimbabwean traditions, such as beer brewing. My favourite part was our conversations over dinner and around the campfire in the evenings, where I could chat with the locals and learnt a lot about the Shona culture. On days off, we went on trips together in the surrounding area. We either all went out together by car, or I was going off on my own and walked through the village to the waterfalls. All in all, my time with Hannah and Taku was one of the best experiences I had on my entire trip. Simbabwe and the Marudzi Farm will forever hold a special place in my heart. This is mainly because Hannah and Taku made me feel like part of the family. I admire the fantastic project they’ve set up and how they’re shaping their future. I’m excited to see how it develops and will come back to see it for myself :))

We spent month and a half here and had a great experience. The place itself is beautiful - surrounded by nature, very peaceful, and a great spot if you want to slow down and take a break from busy city life. The work was quite light and flexible. Usually just a few hours a day, split between helping in the café and doing housekeeping tasks. Especially outside the main tourist season, everything felt very calm and there was plenty of free time. The atmosphere was very relaxed and informal - no pressure, no strict schedules — which we appreciated. Marcel and Martha are super nice hosts!:)

For many years, Zighe has dexicated her time and energy to educating children in the neighborhood. Because of Zighe and the association many children go to school and have a meal every day. I am very grateful to Zighe for welcome me in such a friendly and warm way. I felt surrounded and protected by her by the coaches and all the children during my two-month stay. Despite limited ressources, but with a lot of energy , smile, love and kindess the foundation and their team dédicace their life to improving the lives of young people, paving the way for future generations

salo and david are such lovely hosts, and joaquín and pacho are an absolute joy to care for. we really can’t recommend staying with them enough. their home is in such a beautiful area, and the space itself just feels really happy, sunny, and full of love. they’re super organized, which made it really easy to step into their routine, and they’re both great communicators. joaquín is the sweetest little baby and will 100% brighten your day, and pacho is such a good boy. we loved taking him on long walks and hikes around the area. they’re also really generous and welcoming, and we shared some delicious meals and genuinely great company together. overall just a really special stay and we’d absolutely recommend it 🤍

I hosted Silian and Merle for about ten days in march, but I would have kept them for much longer! :) Coming back from work and finding some delicious meal ready was a real blessing, and in general having them over as guests was such a nice time. They were very independent with the work, on the first day I showed them around the farm and pointed out what needed to be done, and since then they were organizing their own time, since I wasn't home most of the time. As I mentioned they are great cooks, I think they could convert anyone to veganism ahaha I totally recomend them to any host, but I also hope they will be coming around here again in the summer :) All the best guys, and see you soon!

I spent an incredible month here learning many things. Pauline taught me how to cook new dishes and she told me the extraordinary life she has. Therefore, I helped Tryggvi with outdoor activities and I learnt the most important parts about creating a new bathroom: we worked using cement, glue, tiles and also wood. I was like a son to them. I am very glad I had this experience and I hope that I will see you again. Thank you for everything

I hosted Kristine and her son (and the dog too :) for a few days around New Years. She sent me a last minute request during a time when I was not actually planning to host volunteers, but I decided to accept them all the same, and it was the right decision :) I told her that the volunteers room would be cold and that I would not have that much time to hang out, and she was ok with eveything. The two of them are a nice travelling family, very adaptable and interesting to talk to. They helped me to do some work in the garden, and one day we all went to a friend of mine's home to prune some trees, and the team worked very well :) All the best with your life guys, and see you again one day!

Maya stayed at my house for 5 days, and was a great help to my family, and my farm made them aware of our life and I also introduced them to the people in my village and Maya treated me like a family member in my house and I had another friend who came to us from Japan, and also helped them with the housework and I told them about my life and the life of the people here and thank you very much for my house. If I get a chance to meet you again in the future, I will definitely meet and may your future life be filled with success. Best wishes from me from KRUSHNASINH
