Marek was a great volunteer, amazing photographer, super element in the group of volunteers that was here. He is cautius when working with wood projects, i could rely on his abilities. He did as well hard jod, carrying rocks, getting old wood usable again. He cooks very well as i likes to share and please people. Thanks for your help 🙏🏻

I had a lovely time with Paula. I got to really improve my gardening skills and I thoroughly enjoyed transforming the veggie patches and filling them with fruits and veg. Paula made delicious food and I had the opportunity to visit new places and hear a beautiful choir in a church. I am most grateful for having gotten to stay with her and wish her the best in her future endeavours.

It was a wonderful experience to stay in Sicily. I stayed with another workawayer, Konoka, and we enjoyed a lot there! We mainly did gardening and DIY. DIY was my favorite work and Silvio taught us in a clear way. He is so professional at DIY and I could improve my skills. He is also a great piano teacher. I enjoyed his piano lesson. Every dish he made was amazing. We loved to experience the new taste through his dishes. I respect his curiosity. Palermo is a great place to enjoy the sea and the atmosphere of Mediterranean iland. It is very energetic sometimes with chaos which I loved. I will definitely come back to Sicily. One week was too short to spend enough time with Silvio and his lovely family. Thank you for all of your hospitality!

Rebecca stayed with me for one week at Caroline . Although it was during the school summer holiday and our regular English activities were limited, she was always willing to help with anything that was needed. Rebecca brought a positive attitude, kindness, and flexibility to the community. She helped with daily tasks around the homestay, interacted warmly with guests, and was always happy to lend a hand whenever opportunities arose. What stood out most was her willingness to contribute, even when there were fewer organized activities available. She adapted easily to the simple lifestyle of our fishing village and showed genuine interest in local culture and community life. Rebecca is respectful, responsible, easy-going, and pleasant to be around. She was a wonderful guest and volunteer, and I truly appreciated her support during her stay. I would happily host Rebecca again and highly recommend her to other hosts looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and eager to help wherever needed. Thank you, Rebecca, for being part of our community, and I wish you all the best in your future travels and adventures!

Rachel is an absolute jewel who spent four months with us from November through March. During that time she worked on all kinds of projects from fire to gardening, and was a consistently steady and reliable team member, becoming familiar with a range of tools and land management practices, and she joined the crew for a broadcast burn as well as pile burns. Kind and very smart, she is an astute observer of people and situations, and this meant that she was able to quickly understand and learn assignments, and could work well with anyone. Outside of work, everyone enjoyed getting to know her and going exploring or having fun together, also in the kitchen -- Rachel developed her talent for baking while here, and was generous with her time concocting and sharing many incredible goodies! She has a quiet determination that has already served her well (congrats on the dream job!) and no doubt she will keep doing wonderful things. Don't hesitate to accept her if she asks to join you! Thanks for everything, Rachel, you're loved and missed!

Tomás and Alma stayed with us for a little over four weeks. When we spoke to each other for the first time online, we immediately felt like these people would be a great match. A couple weeks later, when they arrived at our house, our suspicions became reality!! During the time they stayed with us, they helped in the garden (building some fences, staining wood, trimming bushes, cutting down ivy, painting our kitchen, cutting down a tree, and more), they cooked and cleaned, and most importantly: they integrated into our lives in a helpful, kind and loving way! Tomás and Alma are conscious people with great communication skills, which makes it very easy to be around with. In the end, as a host you’re welcoming ‘strangers’ into your house. In this case, they never felt like strangers and became our friends straight away. Both are creative in their own way and participate in their own pace and energy. Tomás is a great, great language teacher and makes the best arepas in the world!! Alma is great at making connections with others, she makes amazing scones and her enthusiasm lifts up any mood. We hope to see you again soon guys!

We were so fortunate to have Andi (Andrea) with her warm, thoughtful presence here for over a month. Her background, including in mathematics, environmental stewardship and education, constantly informs her ongoing engagement with the land and her perspectives on how to bring positive change to the world. It was a privilege to host someone as kind, thoughtful and skilled as her. She has exceptional plant and ecological knowledge and solid experience with tools, which meant she contributed hugely in many areas here, from forestry to building restoration/renovation, and also in the kitchen -- some great dishes! Although conditions didn't allow for broadcast burning during her stay, she had a chance to do some pile-burns and explore principles of Rx fire, and was great with that -- safe, reliable and quick to learn. Andi is excellent with interpersonal communication, and was very much liked by everyone. We highly recommend her for any host, and would welcome her back any time. I spend 3 weeks with Mahati, Janne and their 2 kids, and it was a beautiful experience. You can learn so many things with them, you can just ask ! Permaculture, cooking, building, if you love to work with your hand (or want to learn), there is a lot to do here. It's also a big break in the nature, with many places in the forest to go. If you are looking for deconnexion, it's here ;) But you have also many occasions to go in the villages around. It was a pleasure, thank you for those beautiful 3 weeks ;)

Elena is an interesting, energetic and cheerful young woman who engaged in some great conversations with us and was always willing to get things done, regardless of how chaotic the task list happened to be. I highly recommend her as a workaway and would welcome her back anytime.

Serena and Davide are wonderful workawayers. They were very willing and very hard workin. Davide is strong and quick and prioritizes speed, If you need heavy labor done quickly Davide's your man. Serena is diligent, cheerful and careful. They are a lovely couple, we really enjoyed their company and would recommend them to other hosts! Please come back one day,l! Always happy to help thanks.

Thank you for the nice workaway experience we had during the two weeks at your home! You live in such a lovely area with the beautiful, clear river next to the house. Staying in the apartement next to your house felt like being on holiday ☀️ For us, it was the first time to do some gardening, but we liked it a lot. We hope you will get a lot of fruits & vegetables this year (and less weeds 😉). We also enjoyed cooking some (german) dishes for you and having dinner together! Thank you for the interesting conversations through which we learned more about Canada - especially about the beautiful peninsula Gaspésie. As we could make our own schedule, we also were able to visit some other beautiful places like the famous Bonaventure Island. ☺️ PS: We won’t forget your sourdough bread, it was so good (like the brownies, the carrot cake and the lobster roll)! I stayed for two months at the Art Institute and felt welcome from the very first message I received. During my time there I helped Bernardo with some of the many things that could be done in and around the garden and what really stood out for me was his effort to give me tasks that matched the interests I had shared on my profile. He also showed great flexibility towards the timing of the work and was always ready to share his knowledge about sustainable practices. Bernardo invited me on trips with his family and to events, and the whole team treated me with pastries for my birthday. It was the perfect spot for me to enjoy being in nature (the birdsong and the blooming flowers in the garden in spring were amazing) and simultaneously a few feet away from music events, art shops, gelaterias and weekly board game nights. I got to learn Italian (they had set up lessons for me with one of the school's Italian teachers) and felt inspired by the many creative projects and classes happening at the art school. My personal highlight was the opportunity to try out mosaic and spend many hours, days, weeks puzzling with the ceramics to make a mosaic cover for the pizza oven.

Nous avons accueilli Elena pendant 12 jours et nous avons été ravis de la rencontrer. Elle s'est très bien occupée des enfants, s'est adaptée très vite à la maison. Elena est très agréable et vraiment très mature pour une jeune fille de 18 ans. Nous la recommandons sans hésiter

Hello We realy had a big pleasure to have Kim in the farm. She is very hardworking, and takes initiatives to help in the farm. She loves the animals and our kitten were very lucky. I hope that Kim will visit us again I definitly recommand Kim as a volunteer

What an adventure !! I was part of this group for 3 months and I already want to go back. The work can be demanding but picking plastic is such an amazing workout in nature ! I only met respectful, kind and funny people, the atmosphere is really nice. This project motivated me to sail more and opened my eyes that a new future, more responsible and close to nature, is possible. I fully recommend to volunteer with them!

I spent almost 2 weeks in Romans sur Isère and it was a great expetience. You have your owned bedroom a shared bathroom and the food served is very good. It is a discret family very welcoming. The location is perfect to visit romans and its surreounding. Romans is a pretty little town with some nice ballade to do in the surounding. It is a wellknnown area for wine as well. The work dine was mainly diy: adjusting and cutting shelved, wallpaper, sanding staircase. All manageable but time consumming! I would recommend this host!
