🌊 Hello, I’m Caroline! Welcome to my coastal village in Phu Yen, Vietnam.
I was born in 1995 and have always been passionate about meaningful community projects. Instead of staying in the city, I chose to settle in a peaceful fishing village to develop community-based tourism and create an environment where locals and visitors can connect through culture, language, and sustainability.
🌍 My Journey & Experience
Since early 2020, I have hosted many wonderful volunteers from Workaway at my farmstay, where we worked together on eco-tourism, sustainability, and cultural exchange. However, due to life changes, I have recently moved to a fishing village 12 km away from my old farm. Even though I am no longer farming, I am still building experiences similar to what I did at the farm—focusing on community engagement, environmental awareness, and cultural preservation.
🌿 My Mission
I believe that preserving local culture and protecting the environment go hand in hand. Through my project, I want to help the local community embrace their traditions with pride while also raising awareness about sustainability. I run an English café, workshops, and cultural experiences to bring English closer to the locals in a natural, engaging way.
🌎 What You Can Expect as a Volunteer
You’ll be immersed in a simple, DIY lifestyle while supporting meaningful initiatives. You can help with:
✅ Creating a welcoming space in our community English café
✅ Decorating & improving our DIY homestay and café
✅ Supporting English workshops & language exchange
✅ Joining me on cultural tours (cooking classes, pottery making, bamboo weaving, visiting organic farms, and more!)
💙 Why It Matters
FOR LOCALS – I want to empower the local community to see the value in their own culture and opportunities at home, rather than feeling forced to move to big cities for work.
FOR CHILDREN – I run an informal English learning environment where kids can improve their language skills, soft skills, and environmental awareness.
FOR TRAVELERS – You’ll experience authentic Vietnamese culture, make meaningful connections, and contribute to a project that supports local people and traditions.
My home is simple, but it’s full of love, warmth, and meaningful experiences. If you're open-minded, love nature, and enjoy cultural exchange, I’d love to welcome you here!
Let’s create something beautiful together! 💙Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
I welcome everyone to come with me. I hope we can be a family and stay together like a real family, not strangers. You can stay at my home, enjoy meals and give travel advices.
You will have a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic culture of a Vietnamese coastal village through meaningful experiences and daily interactions with the local community.
🌏 What You Will Gain from This Cultural Exchange
✅ Learn and Experience Traditional Vietnamese Life – Engage in everyday village life, interact with local fishermen, and understand their way of living.
✅ Improve Your Teaching & Communication Skills – Assist in English classes and language exchanges, helping locals practice pronunciation and conversational skills. If you have teaching experience, it’s a great chance to apply and enhance your skills!
✅ Join Cultural Workshops & Activities – Participate in cooking classes, pottery making, bamboo weaving, mat weaving, and fishing net weaving, learning directly from skilled artisans.
✅ Explore Local Cuisine – Enjoy home-cooked Vietnamese meals and even exchange cooking skills with me and other locals!
✅ Experience Sustainable, Community-Based Tourism – See how tourism can be done in a way that supports and empowers local people while preserving the environment and culture.
✅ Connect with Locals & Make a Positive Impact – Your presence will encourage locals to embrace English learning, build confidence, and take pride in their cultural heritage.
✅ Enjoy the Beautiful Coastal Environment – Stay in a house right by the sea, explore the surrounding nature, and experience the peaceful, slow-paced lifestyle of the village.
This is not just a volunteering opportunity; it’s a chance for you to live like a local, exchange knowledge, and contribute to a meaningful project that supports both cultural preservation and community development. 😊🌿Ayuda
*What Help Is Needed?
I have recently moved to a peaceful fishing village where I am developing community-based tourism, an English café, and cultural workshops to bring English and language exchange closer to the locals. My main goal is to create a welcoming space where people can learn, connect, and appreciate their own culture while embracing new experiences.
I am the main teacher, but I would love your support in assisting English learning activities and other community-based projects.
* How You Can Help?
✅ Assist in English Classes – Support me during lessons by helping students with pronunciation, engaging in conversations, and making learning fun. If you have prior teaching experience, that’s a big plus!
✅ English Café Support – Help create a friendly space where locals can practice English naturally through casual conversations.
✅ Workshop Assistance – Join cultural workshops (cooking classes, pottery making, bamboo weaving, etc.) and help facilitate activities.
✅ DIY & Decoration – Assist in designing and decorating the café and homestay with simple, handmade, or upcycled projects.
✅ Occasional Tour Support – Join me in guiding cultural experience tours where guests learn about traditional crafts, food, and local life.
I also continue my mission of environmental education and awareness, so if you are passionate about sustainability, we can work together to organize small clean-up events or eco-education activities for the local community.
🕒 Working Hours & Days Off
⏰ 5 hours/day, 5 days/week (flexible schedule depending on activities).
Morning (7 AM - 12 PM): Support at the café, help set up workshops, or assist with DIY projects.
English Class (9 AM - 10 AM & 6 PM - 7 PM): Assist with pronunciation, conversation practice, and student engagement.
Some days, you may join me on a cultural tour to help interact with visitors.
🛑 Days Off:
1 free day per week to relax and explore at your own pace.
1 experience day per week where we go on a local adventure together—visiting farms, traditional craft villages, or other cultural sites!
This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Vietnamese culture, meet local people, and be part of a meaningful community project. If you love creativity, cultural exchange, and helping others learn English, I’d love to welcome you to my home! 😊Idiomas
