  We are a married couple in our 60s, Irish/Polish, living in rural Spain. We have been renovating our cortijo and could use a bit of help with the outside area, from someone younger and stronger! The house is really comfortable, with a pool and is 19 minutes from the nearest town, and about 45 minutes from Alicante airport and the coast. My husband is a great cook so you should be very well fed while you're with us! We hope you'll enjoy a walk round our city of Murcia to see the fabulous architecture and galleries, as well as the wonderful tapas bars. We would also like you to experience our local spa, Leana. Fortuna is a spa town originally settled by the Romans who knew there was plenty of water, so the thermal pools are a joy to relax in!

  We speak English, Spanish and some French, so that might be useful? We love to also learn about different cultures so sharing experiences means we can learn from each other. We'd like to share some of the Spanish way of life.

  We'd love some help with clearing a part of the garden ready for planting fruit trees. Also if someone could help us paint the outside of the house that would be brilliant!

  We are happy to help someone learn and practise their English. We also speak some Spanish and French.

  Alojamiento

  We have 3 guest rooms. One has a king size bed, one has a double bed and one has twin beds. All on the ground floor. There's a family bathroom, a sitting room, a snug, and even a bodega! We have a large terrace and verandah. There is also a lower terrace with a pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided, my husband is a great cook so you won't go hungry!

  We're about 10 minutes from town, 20 minutes from 2 large shopping centres and a tram stop into the city. We're happy to drive helpers to the tram so you can see our fabulous city with its rich history and architecture. We will provide tram passes for our helpers.

  Yes, we have a very good fibre optic internet connection with average download speeds of 750 mbps, and Wi-Fi is no problem!
