Hello to you all,
I am pleased to introduce you to our charming homestead in the hilly fields of Flanders, a surprising area in the province of Vlaams-Brabant.
Our family has been living at this beautiful old farmsite since the last ten years. Me and my husband have spent time together at the farmhouse with our three children. We share our land with a small herd of sheep, one dog, a cat and a cosy flock of chickens.
As all our children are now living on their own we thought it might be nice to have some people spending time at our home.
What can you expect from us?
We want you to give a good experience while staying here, by inviting you in our warm home and share time together and getting to know each other!
We look forward to share our home with you and have a joyfull time together!
What we expect from you?
We are looking for somebody who is willing to dedicate him or herself in becoming a part of our household for the time of their stay by showing interest in learning to know us and the values we stand for in our home. We expect honest people that can work both independently on a project as well as cooperating with us on other tasks. We think the basis of a good experience is to have an open communcation where we can address each others needs during our time together!
A basic knowledge of gardening and some knowledge of permaculture principles is definitively considered as a plus for us ; as I am actually following a Spanish course it would be nice to practice -
others skills we consider as a plus are carpentry and woodcraft, cooking and breadmaking.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We believe in healthy live with good food and buy therefore mainly organic.
Our goal for this spring is to become more self-sufficient in vegetable production in our garden by means of a greenhouse and by making new plantbeds. This project will therefore represent the main work on our site and give a usefull learing experience for those who are interested in designing there own garden one day.
We believe that exchange of experiences and knowledge with the people that live with us is a good approach for cultural exchange. We try to put this in practice by getting you involved with our projects and becoming a part of the daily routines at our little farm.Proyectos con niños

Our home is situated in the hilly countryside landscape in between the city of Brussels and Gent with good train connections from both directions. The area is well known by cyclists since it makes part of the yearly Tour the Flanders cycling race. Biketrips both off and on road have plenty of possiblities in the weekends. Even though Flanders does not have much forests left,we are lucky to live next to a beautiful old growth forest which we use our selves for hiking and running.
Since its only 40 min by train to the capital and other cities like Gent it is very easy to go for some trips to the city too.Un poco más de información
